57 The letter of the clergy

It's always quiet at night in this world, especially when Bernie's home in Hull is far away from the docklands and entertainment districts.

In the room on the second floor, apart from the faint sound of the tide on the coast, there were only some trivial insect chirps faintly.

Bernie was sitting at a partition table by the window, and the burning oil lamp on the table gave off a dim glow, and the light and darkness of his face were uncertain, but it was enough to make the contents of a letter in his hand clearly visible—

My dear unforgettable friend, Bernie Alik, I wish you all the best in your life on Macehammer Island.

Just recently there was a big event in the world, and as you must have known, I don't know if I should be glad that it was a disaster.

It was only the person closest to me at the time of the disaster, my father, who should have been there (my father was the captain of the royal family's bodyguard), was not there (my father was the captain of the royal family's bodyguard) and ran away to a manor in the suburbs, supposedly because Her Majesty the Queen had asked to leave the royal capital some time ago to relax.

But there is another thing that is indeed good news, our royal family is not all killed, and after tracing the king's bloodline through the church, we find that he has an illegitimate daughter who survives.

According to the law, illegitimate children have no right to inherit, but the direct blood of the royal family has all been killed, and the Earl of Dunlop of Cape Arenas is currently in first line of succession.

However, the Church had long suspected that he was involved with the Blind Church in Newcastle and that he was a homosexual (although there was no clear evidence), so the call for the illegitimate daughter to be legalized and put on the throne was relatively louder.

I must say that she was a very fortunate little fellow, because she had the support of the Queen, and to my surprise the Counts in the Crown Realm generally agreed with the Queen's decision. The Grand Dukes of Pharos also acquiesced in the matter.

It is not surprising that the dukes have made this decision, although they are in a position to compete for the throne of Pharos, but the possibility is not very high, and after the fall of Coverdale, we are left with a mess, I think that as long as anyone who is not confused by power will not want to take over this mess.

But even so, it was surprising that the nobles of the royal realm were able to support an illegitimate daughter on the throne. I don't say this because of identity, but because of gender.

You may not know that there is not even a single female nobleman in their known history who inherited the title of land.

Of course, the Kingdom of Pharos has also not given birth to a queen, going back up, but it is about to go to the era when the ancient empire has not yet been divided, and it cannot be said that it is the king of Pharos.

So if there are no accidents, we will witness the birth of the first queen of the kingdom. I will pray for her from the bottom of my heart, because if she sits on the throne, it will indicate that the kingdom will stabilize rather than fall into greater turmoil.

At the same time, I want to tell you that the reason I am going to use so much space to describe this queen is not just that she has achieved a historic change in some sense, but because we all know her-

Phyllis Sinclair, I'm guessing you've forgotten the name, but you obviously won't forget Eleanor, as he's currently working as a probationary witcher in the church you govern.

So if you look at the last name, you can understand that our future queen is a Sinclair. Of course, I mean, she used to have the last name Sinclair.

I don't know why they are always like this, just living according to their carnal desires, stubbornly and numbly isolating themselves from the holy God.

……

……

The letter from his former companion Tracy was long, and it was basically about the new queen.

Bernie had known about the illegitimate daughter for a long time, but the identity of the illegitimate daughter did surprise him a little, because he remembered the other party.

When he first set foot in the Land of Radiance, he snatched a player-possessed turtle from the girl.

But it didn't affect anything, and after a little thought, he continued to look down.

The rest of the article is a little heavy, because it involves the events of the royal capital of Pharos itself-

There are some things I don't know whether to write in this letter or not, but in fact all these thoughts weigh on my mind and make me miserable at every moment.

But between you and me, as we are from generation to generation, with many mountains in between, what if I write a hundred letters? But I still put pen to paper, and I hope that by God's love you and I can commun.

Some of the gossip has been circulating a lot lately, and I think you've heard of them. I'm not sure if they're real. I hope they're not real, because that would leave me at a loss.

I met Bishop Rhodes the other day and he was very disappointed, he hid it well, but I could still feel his state and I knew why he was lost.

He was my mentor as a judge, and he said that God would not give up on anyone, that God would not do unrighteousness, that all life created by God was equal, and that no one could sacrifice one person's life for another's life.

He also always said that the darkness of the world is the absence of light, and that all things, when they are criticized, are revealed by the light, and whatever is revealed becomes light. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never overcome it.

Maybe some beings don't represent God Himself, they can't represent Light, but if they don't represent God and hope, what can they do?

……

May God grant peace to you, my dear friend, and may you and I be communed under the light of God. I await your reply, God-favored Bernie Alek.

—1227 A.D., Tracy Wild, Harbor Neham.

……

……

There was some confusion in the last few lines of the letter, and it was clear that the other party thought that a unique deity might be able to help in this regard.

Bernie thought for a moment, took out a piece of letter from the drawer of his desk, and then prepared to write a reply letter to the other party.

But before he could start writing, there was a sudden knock on the door downstairs.

There's something strange about Bernie.

It was getting late at this point, and it was normally impossible for anyone to visit unless there was something urgent.

Just listening to the rhythm of the knock on the door, it was obviously not a hurry.

The hired servants were now back to their respective homes, so Bernie had to run downstairs to open the door.

However, when he opened the door, he found that there was no one at all except the streets that were empty at night.

On the contrary, there was a gopher standing there with his chest upright at his feet, his brown hair wet and sticky into many strands, and a large sapphire on his forelimbs.

Seeing Bernie look down, the gopher immediately circled his legs several times in excitement, then placed the sapphire held on his little paw at Bernie's feet, and then arched his head towards him.

Bernie was a little stunned.
