Chapter 6: Shinto, Stone Gate

Niu Kelian's eyes are clear, and we can't see any hypocrisy in it.

Chunting stared at him for a long time, and then he withdrew his gaze as sharp as a knife and walked aside without saying a word.

Seeing this, I had no choice but to come out to ease the awkward atmosphere, looked at Niu Kelian and said apologetically.

"Brother Niu, you don't have to blame him, he has no malicious intentions, but this matter is really important, and there is a group of enemies hidden behind us, so we have to be more careful."

Niu Kelian smiled freely, seemingly not caring.

"The leader is serious, how can Ke Lian take such a trivial matter to heart, it's just that he can't afford to be called the leader like this, if the leader doesn't mind, just call me Ke Lian."

"That's it, don't call me anything, it sounds weird, I don't feel comfortable at all."

Unexpectedly, Niu Kelian shook his head, and the tone of his mouth made me unusually familiar.

"Boss, the ceremony must not be wasted!"

I glanced at Yi He angrily, he heard Niu Kelian say that he was snickering, I walked over and pulled him to Niu Kelian's side, and said helplessly.

"This game is the same as you, and it was the first to open your mouth and shut up before, you weren't taught by a master."

The two looked at each other and smiled, and there was a hint of sympathy.

I didn't have time to figure out what these two people thought, so I looked at Niu Kelian and asked about my next step.

"Ke Lian, now that the cause and effect have been clarified, what should we do next?"

Hearing the matter, Niu Kelian suddenly became serious.

"Please follow me, and I will lead the way."

As he spoke, he took the lead, and we hurriedly followed his pace, for fear of losing our way here.

Before Niu Kelian appeared, we had already seen the Vientiane Shrine, and we thought that we would be able to reach it soon after a short distance, but when we walked up, we found that we were not close to the Vientiane Shrine, but because the building was too tall, we were far away to find it.

Not long after walking under the leadership of Niu Kelian, we saw a section of stone steps, Niu Kelian said that this stone steps are the same as Qianling, a total of 537 steps, and after walking the steps, it is a flat and wide Shinto.

And the so-called Shinto is the way to the dead, although Shen Lang has no understanding of this aspect, but Shinto has been encountered in our previous exploration, Shen Lang naturally remembered our explanation at the time, he couldn't help but ask curiously when he heard what Niu Kelian said.

"Shinto? Why did the Vientiane Shrine appear Shinto? ”

And Niu Kelian saw that our faces were as curious as Shen Lang's, so he led the way while introducing us to the construction method here.

The Vientiane Shrine in front of us, in fact, is not exactly the same as the record in history, here is the Guanshan Ministry of Industry to build, the Ministry of Industry has ingenuity, in this fusion of the Ming Hall, Heaven and Qianling construction style, the three complement each other, only then there is the Vientiane Shrine in front of us.

For example, where we just fell, the two towering and majestic dragon pillars on both sides of the net pocket are inspired by the Qianling Tomb, the two dragon pillars face each other from east to west, such as the two peaks in the south of Liangshan, and in the middle is the stone step road and Sima Dao, that is, the Shinto in front of the mausoleum in the world's mouth.

It dawned on us that no wonder there would be Shinto in front of the mausoleum, and it turned out that this Vientiane Shrine was built by integrating the construction styles of the three buildings.

We continue to move forward, on both sides of the stone steps on the top of the first is a pair of majestic octo-prismatic stone Huabiao, the Huabiao is engraved with moire, two dragons hovering on it, followed by a pair of high-headed, round and magnificent stone-carved winged horses, the two wings of the horse's body are also carved with cloud patterns, and the dragon pattern seems to have the momentum of taking off.

After the winged horse is a pair of graceful high-relief ostriches, which is a symbol of friendly exchanges between the Tang Dynasty and the people of the Western Regions, followed by the ostrich is five pairs of stone horses with a driver and ten pairs of Shi Weng Zhong about four meters high, the so-called Shi Weng Zhong is the stone man in front of the mausoleum, representing the epitome of the imperial power and guard, standing tall and majestic.

And after Shi Weng Zhong, squatting on four pairs of eight tall and majestic stone carved lion statues, the stone lion holds its head high and the giant mane is draped, and the two feet stretch out and squat back, awe-inspiring and upright like Mount Tai, which adds a sacred and majestic momentum here.

After walking through the stone steps, we come to the Shinto, where there are also stone sculptures on both sides of the Shinto, but the stone carvings here are all human figures, and there are no animal statues.

The two groups of stone statues on the left and right are all neatly and respectfully arranged on both sides of the Shinto, and I carefully counted them, thirty-two on the west side and twenty-nine on the east side, for a total of sixty-one.

Chunting introduced, these stone people were the Tang Dynasty under the minority officials and neighboring envoys, Gaozong went to participate in the funeral when he was buried, Wu Zetian to carry forward the prestige of the Tang Dynasty, they will stand in front of the mausoleum, these stone statues are about the same size as real people, it is customary to call these stone statues Fan statue, Bin Wang statue, also called sixty-one Fan Chen statue.

These stone statues are dressed in different ways, including robes and waists, and purple sleeves with lapels, but the carved forms are all standing side by side with both hands arched forward, and the posture is extremely humble, as if they are lined up here to welcome the arrival of the emperor, highlighting the great national prestige of the Tang Dynasty at its peak.

We walked and looked along the way, and after passing through the nearly 100-meter-long Shinto Road, we finally saw the first gate here.

The first gate of this palace is made of white marble, roughly estimated to be about five meters high and four meters wide, and the door is precisely carved with various intricate patterns, just from this door, we can see how prosperous the Tang Dynasty was at that time, which is breathtaking.

We stretched out our hands one after another, trying to push this stone gate into the Vientiane Shrine, and then after everyone tried, they found that this stone gate weighed more than a thousand catties, so they had no choice but to give up this idea and look at Niu Kelian to know what this stone gate was.

Niu Kelian looked at us and talked about the stone gate in front of us.

"According to the records of my ancestors, this first stone gate of the Vientiane Divine Palace is a big problem, this stone gate weighs 100 tons, if you want to open it with brute force, I am afraid it will be a little difficult."

Shen Lang didn't believe in evil, he stretched out his hands again, but he still couldn't shake the stone gate with his strength, so he walked to Niu Kelian's side and asked.

"Ke Lian, since you are so calm, you must know how to open this stone door."

Niu Kelian shook his head, his expression not like a fake.

"There are restrictions on the Dao method here, and you can only rely on your own strength to not use any magical powers, and behind this stone gate is the tap stone, which cannot be opened simply by using brute force, and can only be opened by mastering the art of the mechanism, Ke Lian is shallow in learning, and there is no way to do this."

Xue Nan heard Niu Kelian's explanation, his doubts increased instead of decreasing, and he looked at him and asked.

"What is a tap stone?"

If it is said that among us who is the most proficient in mechanical arts, it is naturally Chen Gong, who is a person in the Ministry of Works, at this time he slowly spoke, and took over Niu Kelian to explain to Xue Nan.

"Tap stone is a kind of mechanism in ancient times, its structure is simple and not complicated, but because it is mostly used in the construction of imperial tombs, it is extremely mysterious, and it is rarely handed down in the world."

Chun Ting smiled faintly after hearing this, and looked at Chen Gong's face full of belief.

"Chen Gong, looking at your expression, it seems that you have a lot of confidence in this tap stone." Take a hundred plating to read the latest chapter of "Guanshan Chronicle Claw Book House" for free for the first time.
