The eight heavenly dragons, of course, are the legendary celestials, dragons, yakshas, gandharvas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras and maharajas, and the craftsmen carved them on the octagonal of the pavilion, lifelike, angry eyes, if there are ghosts in people's hearts, they are afraid that they will not dare to look directly at them.
The four heavenly kings are the kings of Buddhism, the kings of the country, the kings of wide-eyed, the kings of many smells, and the kings of growth, holding pipa, swords, umbrellas, and red dragons in their hands, which are heroic and extraordinary, making people daunting.
It was also the eight heavenly dragons and the four heavenly kings inexplicably carved here that made me inexplicably interested in this pavilion.
The so-called Eight Heavenly Dragons, also known as the Eight Heavenly Dragons, come from Buddhist scriptures and refer to the eight Shinto monsters who often come to listen to the Dharma when the Buddha speaks to the Bodhisattvas and monks.
In countless Buddhist classics, there have been similar records, saying that the so-called eight heavenly dragons are actually the gods of the protector of the Dharma in Buddhism, and where the eight heavenly dragons exist, they must be to protect the power of the high monks in the Buddhism, or the treasure of Buddhism.
And the four heavenly kings are the legendary four heavenly kings of the world, that is, commonly known as the four great vajra, the four protectors of Buddhism, respectively, the country, the wide eye, the growth, the unequaled, the four heavenly kings supplemented by the Western canons, standing on the earth, water, fire and wind, protecting the country and the people, and holding the right to regulate the wind and rain.
And after combining the two, it is not difficult to find that there are indeed many similarities between the so-called Four Heavenly Kings and the Eight Heavenly Dragons.
The two are also from Buddhist classics, and they are also the protectors of Buddhism, but unlike the eight heavenly dragons, they are in the major temples of Shenzhou, and they will invariably arrange a separate hall for worship, and that temple is the Tianwang Palace.
This is the temple of Daexiangguo, which was once revered as a royal temple, and the temple is full of monks who are proficient in Buddhism, so everything here will be arranged in strict accordance with the Buddhist scriptures, and there will be no mistakes.
That is to say, the eight heavenly dragons are not pressed for the time being, at least these four heavenly kings should never be carved on the pillars of this pavilion, which is absolutely unreasonable, only the four heavenly kings are enshrined in the heavenly king's treasure hall, which is in line with Buddhist etiquette.
However, now these four heavenly kings are carved on the pillars of the pavilion in such a grand manner, and there has been no change for thousands of years, and none of the monks who come and go raise any objections, which is a very interesting thing.
This can only prove that the layout here must not be a temporary negligence on the part of the builders, but someone deliberately did it, and ordered the monks of later generations not to easily change the layout of this place, so it will remain until now.
Both of them are gods used to protect the Dharma in Buddhism, since this is the case, what kind of mystery is there in this small pavilion, which can actually drive the eight heavenly dragons and the four heavenly kings to protect the Dharma? Reed bamboo forest
Before I knew it, I had walked to the pavilion with endless curiosity in my heart, and as I expected, the spring pavilion had already arrived here, and it seemed that it had been waiting for me for a long time.
After seeing me coming, Chunting didn't say much to greet, he calmly glanced around, and only after finding that there was no second person in the figure, did he look at me and said slowly.
"Han Chuan, you're finally here, how is it, do you have anything you want to ask?"
"Wait, let me sort it out."
It was rare to see Chunting so direct, which made me feel a little uncomfortable for a while, and after hearing his words, I quickly sorted out my thoughts, and then watched him ask my questions.
"Spring Pavilion, the four pillars in this pavilion are engraved with the four heavenly kings, and the octagonal carving is divided into eight heavenly dragons, both of which are the protectors of the Dharma in Buddhism, and it stands to reason that they should never be carved in this small pavilion at will."
