Chapter One Hundred and Two: Konstantin's Confessions

"Bitter?"

Konstantin grinned bitterly, he smiled bitterly, and he smiled very ugly.

"If I curse my father, then what about what I did in Newcastle two years ago, when I killed Astra, a little girl under ten years old, is there any such a thing!"

"Hey!"

Hearing Constantine's voice full of pain, Dante shouted in dissatisfaction.

"I've said many times that everything has a reason, and when you're agonizing over these things, think about why they happened first, damn it!"

Dante grabbed Constantine by the collar and punched him hard in the face, and he said loudly.

"Since you're already suffering from these things, I'm sure what you did in the past isn't necessarily what you appreciate now, and if you really think you're a hopeless bastard, a bastard with no humanity, then you're going to fucking laugh at me, laugh at those damn things, and have my sword cut off your head with a dirty grin!"

"Haha, you're fucking right, the one on my neck isn't a head at all, it's a piece of shit, fuck, kill me, maybe this will make it easy for you and me!"

"Don't say such meaningless things, John!"

"What does that make sense, I have to be a fool for the angels as a cow and a horse, and constantly fight against those demons that have existed since ancient times, and can only be expelled but not completely killed, I can't win until I die, because they can't lose at all!"

Konstantin collapsed in the driver's seat in frustration, he raised his arm weakly, and raised the hand to his head, the cigarette butt had burned to the place of his fingers, and even Dante could smell the burnt flesh.

Dante slapped the cigarette butt from Constantin's hand, and the burning cigarette fell next to the accelerator, and no one paid attention to it, it just burned like that.

"Dante!"

Smoke kept rising from under Konstantin's feet, and Konstantin spoke weakly.

"When I was born, my mother died in childbirth, and I was the murderer of her, which made my father deeply hate me, he beat me, scolded me, but he was not wrong, because it was like that, my birth killed the most beloved woman in his life, and he never even had a second woman!"

Konstantin trembled and took out the cigarette case, he was about to take out the second cigarette, but the cigarette case was instantly snatched by Dante.

"Fuck, no one will ever smoke in front of me again, never again! I annoy this thing, I'm annoyed with this thing from now on!"

Dante said as he opened the window and threw the cigarette out of the window, and at that moment, he pulled out the magic gun he had just transformed, only to see a magic roar that turned the cigarette case into powder along with the cigarette inside.

"That's pointless, I'll always have other cigarettes, you ruin this box of mine, you can't change the next box I will have in the future, just as my current forgiveness can't undo my past mistakes!"

Although Konstantin said this, however, as the smoke of the silk cigarette dissipated, his mood also eased a lot, but he didn't know if it was his lost cigarette or Dante's rapid shooting action that made him change.

"Dante, I have never loved a woman like my father, I think, if my mother was still alive, if she had never lived with me, she would have lived a very happy life, but I not only ruined her happiness and took her life, I also killed the man who loved her the most!"

As he spoke, Konstantin reached over the splint of the old magic car and picked up the messy pile of papers inside, pulling out a blank piece of paper from the bottom of the paper, which he handed to Dante.

"A cat?"

Dante looked at the white paper in his hand, on which was a messy cat with hideous fur and a ghostly appearance.

Konstantin nodded.

"It could have been a curse spell, when I was fourteen years old, I killed my neighbor's cat and cut off one of the cat's paws, and I buried the cat in the ground to curse my father, who lost a hand in a work accident at the docks, and he contracted tuberculosis that day!"

"Shit!" Dante scolded fiercely: "What kind of curse is this, neither the material is used, nor something on your father or you, how can it be possible to bury a cat and curse a person, Konstantin, can't you even tell this common sense now!"

"I know!" Konstantin said weakly, " I knew it wasn't magic, but my father did get seriously ill, and it wasn't until I regretted it, and I dug up the cat's carcass from the dirt, soaked it in formalin, and slowed it down, and my father's condition was relieved, and I have been investigating all the unfounded spells in the world all these years, and I have discovered and pioneered a lot of new magic, maybe this cat is a curse that we don't understand, I just don't understand it, just like mortals don't understand magic!"

"You're just psychological!" Dante sighed, he thought that Constantine had killed his father with his own hands, and now this reason made Dante much more receptive.

Constantine shook his head silently in the face of Dante's exclamation.

"Anyway, I tried to kill him and I almost succeeded, I've never been a good thing, like I did in Newcastle!"

Newcastle!

It's the name again!

Dante had heard the name from all the mouths of everyone around Constantine, Newcastle, Astra.

Dante never asked about what was behind it, because he knew he would figure it out at the right time, and that time would be pretty much now.

"You know, Dante, I used to be very fond of rock and roll, two years ago I was absolutely obsessed with punk rock, my idol was the 'Sex Pistols' band, I got a group of friends to learn from them, I formed our own band, I named it 'Mucosa', haha, fuck it, it's a name that is disgusting to think about now, but I loved it to death then!"

Constantine pulled out a photograph from the rest of the materials in his hand, and he handed it to Dante, who saw that there were five strangely dressed people in the photo, and Dante knew three of them, Constantine, Richie, and Gary!

"Gary, that friend of mine, the silly guy you just met, a rich second generation, and with the help of his dad, we got our first show, and our first show was at the Cassannova nightclub in Newcastle. ”

Speaking of this, Konstantin's eyes kept flashing memories of the past, those painful experiences that had tormented him for two whole years, those that had made him hide in a mental hospital for two whole years, constantly echoed in Konstantin's eyes.

"Our first show was great and successful, my guitar was like it was going to fly, I fucking drank a lot of alcohol, shit, even if I had one less drink, it wouldn't necessarily be the next thing!"

Konstantin couldn't help but pat his head as if he had drunk too much now, as if he had brought himself back in time, as if he was going through everything in his memories.

"That night I got drunk and felt signs of a demon in the nightclub, I took my friend to find the devil's location with the steps of a drunkard, and I met Astra, a lovely, less than ten years old, she was the daughter of the owner of the Casanova nightclub, her father was like my father, who liked to beat her, scold her, and humiliate her, and Astra was like another smaller, female version of me, who also chose to use ethereal magic against his father!"

Konstantin let out a wry laugh as he reached out to wipe away the saliva he had accidentally squirted before continuing.

"It's just that she's completely different from me, she has a very good talent for dark arts, she really summoned a lower demon, and I should have used the easiest way to banish that demon at that time!"

Constantine slapped himself in the face, looked at Dante, and asked with anticipation.

"Can you understand the psychology of a drunken young man who wants to be amazed and admired by his friends, I drank too much, I want to tell my friends, and all the people who see the demon in the nightclub, I plan to make them admire me and make them admire me with a difficult ritual, so I didn't directly expel this lower demon, I used a complex, difficult magic to summon a high-rank, powerful demon lord, I planned to let the demon lord take the lower demon away, but I overestimated the strength of my soul, this demon lord named Negar killed everyone except me and my friend, and at the same time it also took Astra's soul!”

Konstantin's eyes silently flowed two lines of tears, and he let out a scream of pain.

"I've killed countless people, I've sent the soul of an innocent girl to hell, it's all just because of my vanity, because of my pride, I've screwed up, I've messed everything up!"

Konstantin shouted hysterically, and then, looking at Dante, who was speechless, asked softly.

"Do I still have the right to be redeemed, the angels told me that if I don't do what they tell me, then I will go to hell after I die, do they think I will be afraid, what about hell, I have been walking in hell, my footsteps have never stopped in heaven, why do they think I will be afraid of the place where I grew up, I am not afraid of hell, but I am afraid of the memories that keep appearing in my dreams, I hear Astra asking me for help, she trusts me, she has the same fate as me, and I make her fate countless times more miserable than mine, she doesn't even have a chance to grow up!”

Konstantin lay weakly in the seat, and the car drove aimlessly, like his erratic heart.

"I wasn't forced by the angels to do anything, I chose to go to war with hell because I wanted to redeem my lost conscience, I wanted to bring Astra's soul out of hell, I wanted to send her young and pure soul to heaven, that's what I should do!"

Constantine finally finished his performance, and he reached out and put his hand on Dante's shoulder and said softly.

"But I can't do what I'm saying on my own, I need your help, I need you to deal with Negar with me, you'll help me, right?"

"That's right, of course I'll help you, I have an unparalleled aversion to demons!"

Dante answered Constantine's question with a frown, and then he punched Constantin with a nosebleed.

"But, don't earn my sympathy next time with such realistic acting!"

Konstantin screamed, and then he wiped the blood from it and laughed lightly.

"Okay, okay, you've seen through my contrived show, but I didn't lie to you this time, and while I don't really care about my past, I do declare war on Negar, and what I told you about the past is true!"

"I believe that!"

Dante nodded.

"I believe your past is true, but the tears you squeeze out make me see through you, you may have really suffered for the past, but it is not the present, because your tears are too exaggerated, Constantine, or should I call you, liar!"
