Fa Ru is different, after he arrived at the Shaolin Temple, the Shaolin monks did not know his origin for three years, this kind of unassuming and not greedy and resentful characteristics and Dharma, Hui Ke, Seng Cang, Daoxin, Hongren The first five ancestors of Zen Buddhism are similar, so in the "Tang Zhongyue Shamen Interpretation of the Law as Lines" praised the Fa Rudao "so keep the book and be simple, abandon the world and be glorious, the virtue of honesty, and the spirit of the Magi; Outside the collection of famous weapons, inside the Xuangong, the way of a few people, the wind of high escape. ”

The reason why there is a saying that Shenxiu and Hui Neng are the six ancestors of Zen Buddhism is actually the disciples of these two people, and they continue to build momentum in later generations, as for the real six ancestors, they are actually Master Faru, but this vein has been hidden here for thousands of years, and its reputation is not obvious, and at the same time, it does not fight or grab, guarding a mysterious mission.

"In fact, the real reason why Master Huineng and Master Shenxiu are not the six ancestors of Zen Buddhism is not that these two Zen masters are not advanced enough, although these two are not the position of the six ancestors, but the same Buddhism is exquisite, the only difference is that they are compared with Master Faru, they lack a mission inheritance from the five ancestors Hongren Zen Master."

"And the reason why I have inherited the Dharma name of my ancestor from generation to generation, and at the same time strictly ordered future generations not to go out and live in seclusion here without authorization, is precisely because of the mission of this inheritance."
