Chapter Thirty-Eight: The Reason for Juekong's Visit
Shen Lang's face just now was full of disbelief, and it seemed that he couldn't understand why the warrior monk on the opposite side would catch his thunderous punch so easily.
But fortunately, it seems that Ling Xuan behind him also knows the mystery of this formation, after Ling Xuan's explanation, Shen Lang also knows the strangeness of this Twelve Heavens Great Array, and knows that it is not that his own strength is poor, but that this formation is really too mysterious.
Therefore, Shen Lang's self-confidence has not been eroded, but now he is finally no longer as arrogant as he was just now, but after stepping out, he looked at the warrior monk opposite and asked him for his Dharma name, and his attitude was extremely polite when he spoke.
And although it seems that the two sides are in a-for-tat state at present, but thinking about it, Xin Yan has already explained the reason to this warrior monk, so this person naturally does not really think that Ling Xuan and the others are the enemies of the Great Xiangguo Temple, this is just a test of their strength.
Therefore, this person did not ignore Shen Lang's inquiry, but politely reported to him and told him what his legal name was.
And after hearing the Dharma name in his mouth, the scene suddenly fell into a mysterious silence.
I thought that the person in front of me was just a warrior monk who was trained by Daxiangguo Temple to protect the temple since childhood, and at best, he was just a skilled person, not necessarily a real monk.
However, after hearing this person calmly say his Dharma name, I immediately changed my opinion of him, and I believe that other people who know the many rules of Buddhism will also not be unclear about what this Dharma name represents.
The Dharma name that he utters from his mouth is by no means a Dharma name that anyone can easily use.
Awareness of emptiness, awareness of awareness, emptiness of emptiness.
In the public perception, it seems that the Dharma names of Buddhist disciples often contain the words "liberation", "enlightenment", "enlightenment", "emptiness", etc., but in fact this is not the case.
Among these words, the realm represented by the word jue lies in people's feelings, perceptions, etc., in which feelings come from people's own senses, and perception is the process of human beings through observation, understanding and judgment.
Throughout all people's lives, whether they are calm or ups and downs, they will definitely experience countless things, meet countless people, in the process of dealing with people and things, under the ruthless baptism of time, people will gradually enrich their experience.
And when people's experience reaches a certain level, they often involuntarily begin to recall everything they have done, and this process is what Buddhism calls the process of becoming aware of themselves.
Just like the story of the blind man touching the elephant, what everyone sees with his eyes is not necessarily correct, and what he thinks in his heart is not necessarily right, everyone has different views on things and different feelings, so being able to achieve "feeling" is a state, and being able to "feel but not confused" is another state.
In addition to the word Jue, the empty character in this person's Dharma name is also another realm in the Buddhist family.
When it comes to empty words, many people may think of Shaolin monks in various martial arts, and it seems that the empty characters are virtuous monks who are both compassionate and skilled, and in fact this is indeed the case.
The empty word in Buddhism refers to what we often call the four major emptiness, and the "four greats" refer to the Tao Great, the Heaven Great, the Earth Great, and the Great People's Congress, and together with the later "All Empty", it refers to the Tao Void, the sky, the earth is empty, and the people are also empty.
The four are empty, some people may simply understand it as the emptiness of the eyes, and everything is not in their eyes, but this is a misunderstanding of people, in Buddhism, the real four emptiness is actually to hope that people can see everything openly, see clearly, and no longer be attached to certain things.
Some people are obsessed with Buddhism, they will first recite Amitabha Buddha when they wake up every day, and they will burn incense and worship Buddha on the fifteenth day of the new year, and some people will even be like Buddhist disciples, they will chant sutras first when they get up in the morning, and even when they chat with others, they will come to a sentence of Dharma from time to time.
As everyone knows, this kind of behavior is to fall into the inferior vehicle, which is what Buddhism calls the appearance.
The real meaning of empty words is to make people see everything clearly, if they can't see things thoroughly, then it is a burden for themselves, and they can't extricate themselves from over-indulging in them, so it must be difficult to improve themselves.
If there is no improvement in words and deeds, and there is no release of body and mind, then there is no emptiness of the four major realms, and if the real four emptiness cannot be achieved, then it will never be possible to attain the enlightenment.
And the person who confronted Ling Xuan and the others at this moment was actually able to use the words "Jue" and "Emptiness", which represented the two realms, as his Dharma name, it is conceivable that his identity would definitely not be as simple as a warrior monk protecting the temple.
Since even I can hear the extraordinary in this Dharma name, the well-informed Ling Xuan naturally will not be unaware of what this Dharma name means, hearing Juekong report to his home, Ling Xuan is also full of doubts, he involuntarily walked in front of Shen Lang, and asked this person respectfully.
"It seems that we are abrupt, the master turned out to be a senior monk of the Juezi generation, but with such an identity as a master, why would he come here in person and do something to stop us?"
Ling Xuan's question at this moment is by no means groundless, if this person is really a senior monk of the Juezi generation, then this person can even be on an equal footing with the abbot of the Great Xiangguo Temple, and in this Great Xiangguo Temple, his identity is especially respected.
With such an identity, it is natural that he will not do the things that protect the temple like ordinary monks, and it can be said that as long as the Great Xiangguo Temple is not at the moment of critical survival, a monk of this identity will never show up easily.
And Ling Xuan and the others did not have the intention of making trouble in the Great Xiangguo Temple this time, but because they were worried about the safety of the three of us, they would break into the Great Xiangguo Temple at night.
"This benefactor, you are looking at it."
Hearing Ling Xuan's inquiry, the monk named Juekong smiled slightly, his smile full of wisdom.
"The status of Buddhism is insignificant, and the sixth ancestor Huineng was just a small walker next to the fifth ancestor Hongren, but the five ancestors sat down with many monks, and in the end, the one who got the true transmission of Zen Buddhism was still the sixth ancestor Huineng."
"However, donor, you are indeed right about one thing, the poor monk came to stop you and others this time, not because he was worried that you would disturb the purity of this Great Xiangguo Temple, there are indeed other reasons, but now is not the time for me to explain everything to you."
