Chapter 7: Dinner
"You sit down for a while."
Chang Wei tied his waist and said to the two sisters and brothers: "I eat Chinese food, I don't know if you like it or not." β
"Chinese food?"
Angel said: "Are you Chinese? β
Chang Wei said: "That's right. I'm not used to salads, I'm not used to bacon, I'm not used to hamburgers and bread, I'm not used to butter and cakes. β
"Then you're miserable." Joe said, "Isn't the burger delicious?" I think it's good. The cream cake was also delicious. β
"Habit problem." Chang Wei spread his hands: "Have you ever eaten Chinese food?" Spicy or not? Or mildly spicy? β
"I've heard that Chinese food is particularly greasy." Angel said: "If you eat it, you will get fat." β
Chang Wei smiled: "As far as I know, the proportion of fat people in the United States is larger than that of the Eastern Celestial Empire. Cream cakes and stuff like that are high-calorie foods, burgers, KFC or whatever, junk food, that's the real reason for gaining weight. β
And said, "None of you have ever eaten Chinese food?" β
The two siblings shook their heads together.
"Then let's open meat today." Chang Wei walked into the kitchen with a smile: "The ingredients in Mill Town are not good, they will be ready." β
After a lot of rectification, I didn't have a few dishes, just a pot of potato stewed beef, and then fried back to the pot, a boiled pork slices, and then a stack of stir-fried vegetables.
Red red, green green, decently placed on the table.
"What is this?" Joe pointed to the boiled pork slices and said, "Fried chili noodles? β
"Boiled pork slices." Chang Wei said: "It tastes very good, try it?" β
I couldn't help but say, so I gave this kid a chopstick.
While Qiao was thinking about how to deal with the boiled pork slices in the bowl, Angel was pondering the use of chopsticks: "Two small sticks? Eat with this? β
"You can use a fork." Chang Wei was not reluctant, and went to the kitchen to get two forks out.
Angel took the fork and it was easy to go. She looked at the boiled pork slices in Qiao's bowl and couldn't help but stick out her tongue: "How spicy!" β
Then he extended his fork to the potato goulash.
After a meal, the two sisters and brothers don't want to do it. Joe was directly on fire by the spicy throat, and the water was not enough to drink one cup after another. But Angel has become so interested in back to the pot meat, of course, only a little.
It's unrealistic not to expect two native-born Americans to give a thumbs up for the first time at Chinese food.
"How?"
Chang Wei cleaned up the dishes and chopsticks and asked with a smile.
"I don't want to say it, but I still want to say it." Qiao pouted and said, "I didn't eat enough. Often, your food looks beautiful, but I'm not used to it. β
"It's okay, just a few more times." Chang Wei said.
"It tastes a little weird." Angel said: "But it's acceptable. β
While eating and resting, Joe said to Chang Wei: "Old Forry has been living here for a long time when our family moved here - these appliances are too old, the TV is at least ten years old, and the refrigerator is even older. If I didn't know it was inhabited, I thought it was a museum. β
Chang Wei said: "I plan to renovate the house after a while, and the furniture and electrical appliances will be replaced." β
"Yesβunless you're an old man." Angel said: "An old man as old-fashioned as old Frie. If it were me, I would have made the room full of technology, the colors should be bright, the current one is too dim, and it is very oppressive. β
In the ensuing chat, the sisters and brothers were stunned when they learned that Chang Wei was only eighteen years old.
"You're only eighteen?!"
Joe was dumbfounded: "As big as Anqi?" But why do I think you're in your thirties or forties? β
An Qi looked at it carefully and couldn't help but say, "It's temperament!" β
She said: "Chang's temperament is mature, and it is easy to ignore his age. β
Chang Wei spread his hands: "There should be nothing wrong with a mature temperament, right?" β
"It's more intimidating." Joe Dao.
"It will make people feel reliable." Angel said.
"That's good." Chang Wei smiled.
I also heard that not long after Chang Wei arrived in Mill Town, the two siblings told him about the past in Mill Town.
"I heard my dad say that Mill Town was built more than 20 years ago." An Qi said: "It seems that for special reasons, the government issued an administrative order to build a town. And then there were a lot of people one after another. Do you know that five years ago Mill Town was a pet town, and every household would have some pets, cats or dogs? I don't know why, since five years ago, all of a sudden no one has raised it. β
Joe continued, "That's right, Angel, our family just moved here then. I still remember. β
"Maybe it's some kind of pet disease?" Chang Wei said: "The kind that can be contagious? β
"Possibly." Angel said, "But I don't know. I've always wondered why five years ago the whole town had pets, but now there aren't any. Maybe it's like you said, it's a contagion that scares people. β
"That's scary, isn't it?" Qiao said: "Contagion, it's creepy to think about. β
And about themselves. Qiao said, "Angel, is Juniel still pestering you?" You've all graduated, and I've heard that Big Jim is going to send Junior to college in Chicago. β
And said: "Anyway, I don't approve of you being with Junior, Angel, Junier is not a good person." β
Then he said to Chang Wei: "Junier used to be in a group with the Dundee brothers, and they did a lot of bad things together, and I hate them very much. β
Angel screwed Joe, and he screamed in pain.
"I don't like Junier either," she said. But... Well, often, I said you don't laugh at me. β
Chang Wei listened with relish, and hurriedly waved his hand: "Absolutely not." β
Angel said, "I'm eighteen years old, graduated from high school, but I'm still a junior daughter. Do you know how those boys laugh at me? Say I'm an old nun! β
Joe's eyes widened, "There's nothing wrong with being conservative, Angel! We are a Catholic family! β
"I know!" Angel said: "But I can't let them laugh at me, that's an insult to me!" β
"And what do you want?" Qiao said angrily: "Is it because of this that you are with Junior?" β
"I don't want to say it!" Anqi stood up: "Chang, let's go back." β
Chang Wei sent the sister and brother to the door and watched them leave with a smile.
Back in the house, Chang Wei looked at the old-fashioned refrigerator and felt that he couldn't keep this thing in the living room all the time. The small world inside is too important, and it is not a good thing if it is discovered by others.
Thinking about changing the appliances anyway, and the day after tomorrow and the weekend to open the moving ladder, you also need to buy some outdoor kitchenware, so you can simply get it together.
looked at the small world in the refrigerator, which belonged to Chang Wei's bloodline creatures and the creatures bred by the world itself, and I don't know how many times it had entered the stage of stalemate, and at the end of the day, looking at the twenty or thirty extra lines on the Sword Mountain, I knew that Chang Wei's bloodline had failed twenty or thirty times.
The stalemate phase is the hardest to break.
At this stage, the significance of this small world to Chang Wei cannot be shown, so let them be more stalemate.
After washing up and returning to the house, Chang Wei practiced until late at night.
