Chapter 1: Sylvanas
Ten kilometers outside Silvermoon City, a group of elven rangers is passing by on the main road. They are the Ranger unit of the High Elves of Quel's Salas, led by the second sister of the Windranger family, Sylvanas.
The High Elves used to be the nobility of the Night Elves - the upper elves, in the thousands of years after breaking away from the Night Elves, the appearance of the High Elves has changed significantly, compared to the mysterious violet hue of the Night Elves, the High Elves appear to be more sunny, most of them have blonde or white-gold hair, although there are also lines on the face, but generally appear ruddy, long ears are reddish, and the eyes are glowing with broken gold.
The Ranger Force is a very important force in Silvermoon City, they are the vanguard of vigilance, defense, and attack on the Trolls of Zuaman, and they are also the main military force.
Needless to say, the feud between the High Elves and the Trolls of Zuaman has grown from the earliest struggle for living space to the depths of the sea, and now it is impossible to unravel.
The team of elven rangers led by Sylvanas went to Silvermoon City to change the front line against Zuaman.
Sylvanas told the Ranger team to move on, and she herself turned and headed for the nearby mountain. As her name suggests, like a gust of wind, her slender body ignored the obstruction of the rocks and trees, and climbed up the mountain bag lightly and swiftly, and came to the bottom of a towering tree behind the mountain bag.
Under the tree is a thatched hut with a hidden door. Sylvanas stepped forward, pushed open the door, and shouted crisply and pleasantly, "Uncle! β
In the thatched house, Chang Wei sat cross-legged, and on the desk in front of him was a scroll of cloud-patterned and light-filled picture scrolls, on which a dark golden gourd was pressed.
Hearing the sound of Chang Wei's mouth, he turned around and said with a smile: "Change the guard? β
"Hmm."
Sylvanas was familiar with the place, and strode up and sat down beside Chang Wei. The slender figure is in stark contrast to Chang Wei's body.
"Change the guard, pass by here, come and see." Sylvanas said, "Uncle, are you still like this?" Don't you feel bored in front of the gourd and the picture scroll all day long? β
Nearly a year ago, when Sylvanas first met Chang Wei here, he blurted out that he was called 'Uncle', and the title continued.
As an elf, Sylvanas is not young on a human time scale. But the elves have a long teenage stage, and the current Sylvanas is actually just an adult.
Still a little young.
Compared with Chang Wei's mature and magnificent bearing, Sylvanas is not abrupt to call him uncle.
From the perspective of life level, the life level of a human immortal is by no means inferior to the level of a real god. From the point of view of the form of power, the monastic method is natural.
In the face of a monk like Chang Wei, Sylvanas naturally developed a liking for the first meeting, and did not dislike it.
It's not far from Silvermoon City, only about ten kilometers. Ever since the first time they met each other, Sylvanas had often come over, sometimes bringing Chang Wei some fruits, and sometimes some small objects and artworks in Silvermoon City. In Chang Wei's thatched house, except for the futon and the desk, the other furnishings were all given to him by Sylvanas.
"Ah, the pastry made by Wen Lessa."
No, the gift is coming.
Sylvanas's hand was taken out from behind his back, and he was holding a small and delicate food box, which he handed to Chang Wei.
Chang Wei smiled: "Then I'm welcome." β
"Do you want to say thank you?" Sylvanas said, "I want to say no thanks. β
Chang Wei laughed.
Chatting casually, Sylvanas talked about something about Silvermoon City.
She said, "Something very strange happened in Silvermoon City during this time. The disappearance of the children makes the sheriff angry, and he vows to catch the thief who stole the child, but there is no clue. β
"When the council learned about this, they sent a mage to deal with it, but it was still to no avail."
"Another mage suddenly claimed to have accepted the oracle and wanted to establish a sect. The High Elves are not keen on faith, and many elves think that the council will rebuke them, but strangely, the council does not react at all. β
When she said this, she showed a hint of doubt: "I always feel that Silvermoon City has become different. But where is the difference, but there is no clue. β
Chang Wei listened carefully to her words and said with a smile: "No matter how it changes, it may be hidden, but it will eventually be exposed." β
"I know." Sylvanas wrinkled her nose: "But just like a lesion, once the traces are revealed, there is a possibility that it will be irreparable. This is not optimistic. β
She was a little worried: "The trolls of Zuaman have also launched a new offensive. The council's elders still turned a blind eye. The Rangers lack support, and I don't know if things will go down. β
Chang Wei said: "How can Sylvanas, who is always heroic and full of confidence, be sorrowful? If there is a problem, solve the problem, solve the trouble, and face the difficulty. β
"Whew, you're right, uncle." Sylvanas lifted his spirits, "I will definitely protect Quel'Thalas and the Silvermoon Forest." β
Chang Wei nodded with a smile, and said, "Do you remember what I said last time I said the return gift?" β
"Return gift?!" Sylvanas's golden eyes lit up, and she was curious and looking forward to itβwhat kind of gift would the uncle's gift be in return?
Chang Wei smiled and took out a delicate and simple bow from his sleeve and a palm-sized wooden waist card covered with cloud patterns.
These two things are like children's toys. The level of refinement is not even comparable to the most ordinary artwork in Silvermoon City.
But Sylvanas rejoiced.
It must be very uncomfortable to just give and not get a response.
No matter how ordinary the response is, it can be ecstatic.
She carefully took the two things, the bow in her hand, suddenly caught the wind, from the size of a palm to the size of the big bow she was carrying, the waist card flew up by itself, hung on her belt, clinging, invisibly forming a layer of protection that could be clearly felt.
Sylvanas was stunned, she raised her head, met Chang Wei's smiling face, and said in surprise: "Artifact?!" β
Chang Wei smiled calmly: "Something you can do casually." Like the best, don't like it. β
"I like it." Sylvanas touched the bow, feeling an indescribable charm, and his heart jumped with joy.
"Also." Chang Wei took out two smaller waist cards and handed them to Sylvanas with a smile: "One each for Wen Lesa and Aurelia." Tell Winlesa that her pastries are delicious and that the clothes from Aurelia are comfortable. β
"Well, I will." Sylvanas solemnly put away the two waist cards and carefully put them in his leather pocket.
