Chapter Seventy-Two: Fate
The fox's story was very sad, and Wesley felt a little sympathetic to the fox after hearing it.
Lake sat in the passenger seat with an unchanged expression, looking at the road ahead.
The Fox was a female assassin who believed that she was using the Loom of Fate to execute the evils of the world and enforce justice.
Lake feels that the female fox assassin is actually quite pathetic.
According to the original book, when the fox learned that the names of all the Assassins in the Weaver Factory had already been on the list of Destiny Looms to be executed, the fox's faith would collapse, and he would shoot the other Assassins and commit suicide.
More than twenty minutes later, the car stopped downstairs at Lake and Wesley's house, next to a train track.
Wesley was in a hurry to get out of the car, and Lake followed.
Upstairs, Wesley opens the door with the key and sees Star-Lord Barry and his girlfriend there.
Wesley didn't have to think about the situation in the room before, and Wesley's expression began to turn angry.
"Where have you been running for so long, you have been away for so long, and you have answered the phone and not returned to the text messages..."Wesley's girlfriend began to complain, yelling at Wesley, who still thought that Wesley was the honest man who had been so wooden before, and did not dare to contradict her.
"Your brothers are back, listen to my explanation, I'm just coming to see." Star-Lord Barry tried to speak, he looked at the window, trying to jump out of the window and escape, but found it a little tall.
Star-Lord Barry looked at the door again, which was blocked by Lake and Wesley.
Wesley walked up to Star-Lord Barry and struck Star-Lord Barry on the chin with a fierce elbow.
With a single blow, both of Star-Lord Barry's teeth were knocked off, and his mouth was bleeding.
Wesley trained as an Assassin at the weaving mill for more than twenty days, and is now very capable of hand-to-hand combat.
The weaving mill teaches murderous techniques! This blow, Wesley still didn't kill him, otherwise Starlord Barry would already be a dead man.
Star-Lord Barry, though taller, was knocked to the ground by Wesley's move and knocked unconscious.
"What are you doing to beat people, you.." Wesley's girlfriend was a little frightened, but she didn't expect to be so beaten by looking at the strong Barry before.
Wesley didn't reply, and went to the bathroom with a cold expression, took out the pistol that Sloan had given him earlier, and then came out.
Wesley's girlfriend wanted to play tricks, but when she saw Wesley come out with a gun in his hand, she immediately shut up.
The tall fox also walked in at this time, and looking at the situation in the room, the fox had already guessed what was happening.
Wesley approached Star-Lord Barry, who had fallen unconscious, pulled out his pistol, and pointed it at Barry's head.
Wesley's hands were shaking.
Lake watched from the sidelines, and Wesley hesitated to kill Star-Lord Barry.
Lake didn't know if it was better for Wesley to kill Barry or spare Barry now.
Of course, if Wesley wants to become a bald headmaster and become the spiritual leader of mutants in the future, it is better not to have flaws in his heart and not have a dark personality.
Otherwise, the bald headmaster is likely to lead the mutants to the other extreme, destroying the future even more dangerously than Magneto.
But Star-Lord Barry, indeed, is hateful.
"If you can't do it, I'll help you do it!" Lake walked over and spoke to his brother Wesley.
Wesley looked at Lake, eventually shook his head, and raised his foot to kick the unconscious Star-Lord Barry again.
"Forget it, this kind of person is not worth my hands, don't let me see you again!" Wesley turned to his ex-girlfriend and said.
Wesley didn't kill Star-Lord Barry after all, and walked out of the door with the fox.
Lake glanced at Wesley's ex-girlfriend, who was now frightened and kneeling on the floor of the room.
Now that Wesley had decided not to kill them, Lake stopped doing it.
"Leave the city tomorrow and never come back!" Lake left this sentence and left the door and went downstairs.
Back in the fox's car, Wesley sat in the back seat, whispered a thank you to the fox, and then stopped talking.
"Go to the bar, let's have a drink!" Lake said.
"Go back to the weaving mill and drink, it's dangerous to get drunk outside, and you're still on the kill list of the cross. I'll send you back first, and then I'll go buy wine!" The fox said.
Wesley nodded.
The fox started the car and drove quickly in the direction of the weaving factory.
Lake looked at the fox beside him, the female fox assassin was supposed to be spying on their brother to prevent the two of them from coming into contact with Daddy Cross alone.
Sloane of the Weaver Factory had a good plan, sending a beautiful assassin to contact the two brothers.
Although Lake knows the plot, he doesn't pick it now.
The interior of the car became quiet.
After more than half an hour, Wesley and Lake returned to the double room in the weaving factory.
The fox went to buy wine.
"Just say goodbye to the past and be a weaver with peace of mind!" Wesley muttered to himself, more like self-deprecation.
"If you want to open it, what is this blow, you will experience a bigger blow in the future!" Lake comforts his brother Wesley.
Hearing Lake's words, Wesley smiled bitterly, laughing more ugly than crying.
More than ten minutes later, the fox brought a case of beer and a bag of fast food containing five boxes of snacks.
The appetizers were placed on a small table in the room, and the three of them began to drink in this room.
Fortunately, Wesley didn't drink enough, and after drinking five or six bottles, he got drunk first.
Rick and the fox ended up eating and drinking as they ate and drank the appetizers.
"Lake, you give me a strange feeling, your reaction is different from Wesley!" The fox took the wine bottle, touched it in Lake's hand, and whispered.
The fox's face was also a little ruddy, and he drank a little too much.
"Mark my words, being alive is more important than anything else." Lake smiled, picked up the bottle and took a big sip.
After listening to Lake's words, the fox became even more puzzled, and some doubted that Lake already knew about the weaver's plan.
Fox thought about the more than twenty days of contact with Lake, and she didn't reveal her plan.
The Assassins in the weaving mill who knew about this would not reveal anything about the true identity of the cross to Lake and Wesley for their own lives.
It stands to reason that Lake shouldn't know the truth.
The fox shook her head, feeling that she was overthinking. If Lake had known, he should have left with Wesley or done something to them.
"I believe in fate!" The fox whispered.
"Fate can change sometimes! Don't talk about these esoteric things, come and dry this half bottle of wine! Lake said with a smile.
More than an hour later, Lake also drank too much, and was helped back to bed by the fox, and Lake went straight to sleep.
The fox female assassin is too good to drink, and her blushing after drinking is all an illusion.
This fox looks like he will get drunk after another sip of wine, but he is not drunk at all, and in the end Lake gets drunk first.
The next day, at noon, Lake and Wesley woke up, feeling a little dizzy.
The room had been cleaned up by the fox, and the wine bottles had been taken away.
