Chapter 33: Carmen
"Angelil,"
Oreo was finally woken up, and he lifted the blanket and muttered, "Open the door." β
With permission, Angelil pulled the bolt open.
A woman with a disheveled hair broke through the door, and as soon as she pushed the door, she saw Angelyl, her eyes wide.
"Detective Oreo! What are you two doing in there! β
"What's the deal?"
Oreo rubbed his nose and wrapped the blanket back in his low temperature because he had just woken up.
Tamia strode out and lifted the blanket from Oreo's body.
She waited until she made sure he was neatly dressed.
"I've got the evidence, let's go!"
"Evidence?"
Oreo muttered, "Is it Merkel's case, you can solve this kind of thing yourself, anyway, there is evidence, isn't it?" β
Angelyl snorted coldly.
"Do you think it's that simple that I'll come to you?"
"Let's be honest...... I think it will. β
Oreo slowly stood up, stretching his muscles.
Of course, Tamia couldn't admit it, she pursed her lips and urged.
"Move quickly, or the poor prostitute will return to Tutan."
"I know,"
Oreo answered, commanding in a loud voice. "Angelyl, get your gear ready and I'll see you tonight."
Hearing this, Angelill's blood suddenly boiled.
"Yes! Mr. Oreo! β
While Angelyl rummaged through the weapon, Tamia whispered.
"Why did this little girl come to you again? Don't you still be the Black Queen? β
Oreo spread his hands, his face full of helplessness.
Tamia thought he was going to pour bitter water on her, but in the end he just said it.
"I don't know."
"You don't know?"
Tamia, of course, wouldn't believe his nonsense, and she glared at Oreo.
"You guess you're having a good time these days, right?"
Not understanding where the resentment in Tamya's words came from, Oreo's face was full of ignorance.
"What's cool?"
"Hmph."
Tamia snorted coldly and turned her head away.
It's been a long time since I've been with Oreo, and Angelyl is so excited that she packs her bags in two clicks and then says in a loud voice.
"Packed up!"
Oreo answered, tucking his top hat under his arm.
"Tamia, did you come by carriage?"
Tamia rolled her eyes.
"This is Sheriff Kathu's father, do you think I'll use the City Patrol's carriage?"
"Count Carmen?"
Oreo paused, as if struggling with something.
Tamia sneered.
"What, does the righteous detective only bully the weak and fear the hard?"
"No,"
Oreo shook his head, "I mean Sixth Street is a long way from here, and we'll have to find a way to get some transportation, or it'll be too late." β
Tamia rolled her eyes.
"Where did you get the means of transportation in this place, do I have to find you a steam locomotive to come over?"
"That's not necessary."
Oreo shook his head and instructed Angelyl to run to the grocery store opposite.
After a while, Tamia saw a horse's head poking out of the grocery store.
Tamia was stunned.
"Where did you get your horse?"
Oreo straightened the hem of his clothes.
"I don't want to answer you, but ...... I'm just a horse. β
As she spoke, Angelyl had already led the horse, and she handed Tamia one of the reins.
"Sheriff Tamia, it's yours."
Tamia looked at her quizzically.
"What about you?"
Angelyl said as a matter of course.
"Of course I'm ...... with Mr. Oreo"
As the two of them were playing, Oreo had stepped onto a military horse, and he flicked the reins.
"Ladies, hurry up."
Tamia glared at Angelyl, and was about to turn over on the horse, but she didn't expect Angelil to flip on the horse faster than her.
She was far less effeminate than she was in front of Oreo.
"Sergeant Tamya, military horses are difficult to control, so I'd better do it."
"Huh,"
Tamia rolled over and whispered in Angelil's ear.
"Angelyl, you won't be proud for long."
With a wave of the reins, Angelyl lowered the brim of her hat and said coldly.
"Sheriff Tamia, are you talking about the Black Queen?"
Against the bitter cold wind, Tamia sneered.
"Or else?"
Angelyl pursed her lips with a determined expression.
"You're right, I'm just a prostitute waiting to be sold, but my mind will never change, not anyone."
"I understand, I understand,"
Tamia covered her mouth so as not to be flooded by the wind, "But you have to go left at this intersection." β
β......β
Angelyl was silent, turned her horse's head, and galloped towards the fork in the road.
......
Marquis Carmen's estate soon arrived, and the two found Oreo near the side door, crouching on the side of the road, holding a roasted sweet potato in his hand, and seemed to have been waiting for a long time.
Tamia rolled over and dismounted, she sniffled and said in confusion.
"Where did you get the roasted sweet potatoes?"
"I bought it on Eighth Street."
Oreo broke the sweet potato and handed half to Tamia, the other half to Angelyl, and the remaining small piece into his pocket.
"Tamya, the prostitute was tied up in this house, but you're not sure where she's located."
Tamia nodded, and the roasted sweet potatoes were left for a while, and the temperature was just right.
She took a bite of the roasted sweet potato and muttered.
"I looked through the files on Sixth Street, and a prostitute died in the neighborhood a week ago, and I suspected it was that kind of thing, so I've been hanging around here for the past few days."
"Tutan is above, may we still be in time."
Oreo nodded and rolled over his horse.
He stepped on his horse, and then slowly climbed into the wall.
Angelyl and Tamia looked at each other, and the two quickly eliminated the roasted sweet potatoes in their hands, and then climbed into the fence like a game, and Tamia won the game.
After a little recognition, Oreo walked briskly in the direction of the Magpie Towerβ
This is a false name for the building that was used for recreation, and presumably the poor prostitute is currently suffering in it.
Tamia watched her surroundings warily, and after making sure there were no guards, she spoke quickly.
"I've been researching a lot of prostitutes these days, and the prostitute I was invited to come over was an orphan who had an uncle who lived on the outskirts of the city."
"Tamya, well done."
Oreo complimented Tamia, but his expression was extremely serious.
"Angelil, give the weapons to Tamya, and you two stay outside and wait for news from me."
Angelyl answered, but Tamia didn't seem to understand, and she tugged at Oreo's sleeve.
"I'll go in with you."
Oreo shook his head firmly.
"Sheriff Tamia, it's not appropriate for a girl to go inside, and besides, I have a weapon in my hand, don't worry about me."
Hearing this, Tamia quickly let go, and then snorted.
"Who would worry about you...... Something called us! β
Oreo waved his hand and pushed the door open.
