Chapter 9: The City of Eclair

Angelyl took a nap, but she didn't sleep well on horseback, so she squinted a little and soon woke up.

Staring at the road beneath her feet in a daze, she suddenly noticed a few weeds in the wasteland, and the greenery made her feel a little more energetic.

Raising her head, Angelyl saw a green carpet spread out at the end of the moor, and she couldn't help but marvel at the vibrant sight.

"It's beautiful...... Where have we been? ”

Cuarón ran to the side, and he looked back.

"After this wasteland, it's the Venada Empire."

"The Venada Empire,"

Angelyl muttered, "It's like spring." ”

While she was stunned, the horse's hooves had already sunk into the grass.

The bone horse is running wild on the grassland, swaying in the morning breeze with the new grass that has just dewed, and the smell of spring wafts in the wind.

Climb up the grassy slope and see a wider grassland.

Angelil's mouth was wide open, and she saw a city in the middle of the meadow, surrounded by cattle and sheep, a scene that would never have been seen in Turin, like a fairy tale beauty.

So this is the Venada Empire......

Cuarón's attention was not on that, he squinted slightly and whispered.

"Young master, there is Eclair City in front, the number of people in the city defense is not up to standard, it seems that the people of East Ikra have really moved."

Oreo nodded slightly, and he rode across the lawn on his skeleton horse, and not far away was a well-groomed stone path that led to the city of Eclair.

On both sides of the road were woodened pastures, and the cattle and sheep did not bother much to talk about such strange creatures as bone horses, and they flicked their tails gracefully, and from time to time they nibbled on a mouthful of new grass.

Gradually, Angelil saw dense buildings in the distance, and it seemed that she had reached a place that looked like a village.

Further afield, the majestic walls of the city of Eclair, with their recesses reflecting a blinding light, and you don't have to think about it to know that they are complete sets of Venada steel.

Put on the gloves, button up the trench coat, and Oreotti rein in the horse.

Angelyl couldn't react, and her head hit Oreo's back, hurting from the bones.

"Miss Angelyl,"

Caron held out her hands and followed Angelyl underneath.

"Come down, let's go and do something for the young master."

Angelelle nodded slightly, then held out her right hand.

Holding the prosthetic leg, Cuarón helped Angelyl down in an awkward position.

She asked curiously.

"What are we going to do?"

"Purchase the resources you need, and ......"

Caron paused, he glanced at Oreo, and then said, "And take care of some small things." ”

Sensing that the two of them wanted to speak, Angelyl didn't say anything, just nodded.

Taking two tulle gloves out of her pocket, Cuarón half-crouched down and put gloves on Angelyl's two prosthetics, which concealed the unnaturalness of the junction between the prosthetic and severed limbs.

Placing her hands in front of her, Angelil pursed her lips slightly, then whispered.

"Shall we go?"

"Of course."

Caron turned around and led Angelyl towards the bustling bazaar.

Angelyl quickly turned around, and Oreo was staring at her with a faint smile in his eyes.

He waved his hand and disappeared into thin air with the bone horse.

......

The road is getting lively.

Accompanied by the sound of boiling people, the fishy smell of cattle and sheep soon filled the streets, and the roads were lined with desperate farmers shouting for help.

Stopping in front of a steaming stall, Cuarón bought a piece of goat's milk cream, which she broke into small pieces and fed it to Angely's mouth little by little.

Angelyl couldn't get used to the smell at first, but the milky aroma soon took over her taste buds, and the sweet taste soon spread between her lips and teeth.

Smashing her mouth, Angelyl whispered.

"It's delicious."

Cuarón smiled and broke off another piece of goat's milk cream.

"Miss likes to eat this too."

"Sister."

Thinking of that hateful liar, Angelil's mood suddenly deteriorated.

She waved her hand.

"I'm not eating."

Handing over something in his hand, Caron said softly.

"The young master has explained, you have to supplement your nutrition these days. Miss Angelyl, you might as well have a bite to eat. ”

Angelelle pursed her lips, and finally opened her mouth.

Walking through the gap between one of the two stalls, the two men quickly moved away from the market.

Outside the bazaar are rows of wooden factories, and the smell here is much stronger than in the bazaar.

Angelelle faintly hears the screams of cattle and sheep coming from the factory, and she speculates that this must be a slaughterhouse or something.

Caron led Angelil into a factory where pink blood flowed between the troughs, and not far away were cows and sheep being skinned.

Seeing Caron, several workers stopped what they were doing and glanced up and down at Caron.

Cuarón gave him a gentle look in return.

"Lord Pravor sent me here."

A worker snorted and said angrily.

"Miss is waiting for you inside."

"Thank you."

Cuarón thanked him politely and continued to walk inside with Angelyl.

There was a row of rooms in the corner of the factory, and only one room had the door open, and in it sat a woman in a denim suit, and her side face was very stunning.

Tapping lightly on the eaves, Caron whispered.

"Miss Filia, long time no see."

The woman at the desk seemed to be napping, and when she heard Cuarón's voice, she quickly raised her head, her eyes full of anticipation.

But instead of seeing the man she wanted to see, she saw a pretty little girl following Caron.

Filia frowned.

"Who is she?"

Cuarón replied.

"Your Excellency Plavor's new lover."

"I knew it was so."

Filia gritted her teeth and said, "He still likes the new and hates the old." ”

As if he hadn't heard this, Cuarón sat down across from Filia and pulled a stack of golden tickets out of his pocket.

He said seriously.

"Young Master is very grateful to you, he said that this is the last time he begged you for help."

"Begging."

Fried, Filia picked up the stack of golden tickets and counted them haphazardly.

"How much is this, 200,000 Okasim gold coins, where do you let me go to exchange cash at this time?"

Caron shook his head slightly.

"It's not difficult for you, and we only need two tons of unengraved Vinada steel."

Filia frowned.

"Who scarces your money, and I brought five tons this time, and you take them all...... Like you said, this is the last one busy. ”

Nodding slightly, Cuarón pulled out another gift box.

Seeing his movements, a hint of anticipation flashed in Filia's eyes, but she pretended to be cold and said.

"Okasim, don't try to bribe me, this is really the last one."

Cuarón shook his head and said word for word.

"Miss Filia, you will be married soon, this is a congratulatory gift entrusted to you by the young master...... You should love it. ”

Filia frowned, her ponytail whirling behind her head.

"What the hell does he mean?"

"It's just a blessing."

Without giving Filia a chance to refute, Cuarón waved his hand and stood up from his seat.

After thinking for a moment, Angelil still said.

"Miss Filia, thank you."

Filia rolled her eyes.

"No thanks, I wish His Excellency Plavel to dump you soon."

Seeing the woman's anger, Angelil nodded slightly, then turned to leave.

Seeing the two of them in the distance, Filia picked up the box and threw it into the stable next door.

She held her chin and shook her head.

"Oreo, Oreo, why are you looking for a disabled person to prevaricate me...... You don't really think that the old lady is still thinking about you? ”

After knocking on the table for a moment, Filia suddenly stood up, and plunged headlong into the stable.
