Chapter 9: The Auction House of Turin

After another short period of time, the three of them finally walked out of the corridor.

At the exit is a spacious plaza with steam lamps embedded in the stone walls above the square, illuminating the square as if it were daytime.

At the outskirts of the plaza is a circle of shops, crowded with people in front of them, and it looks no different from Sixth Street.

But it wasn't until she got closer that Tamia realized that this was an extremely wrong idea.

The first shop near the entrance was a poppy shop, and in it sat a few men who were scanning up and down with unkind eyes, and Angelyl.

If it had been on Sixth Street, Tamia would have beaten a few people into pigs' heads.

Looking at the two of them who were stunned in place, Oreo whispered a warning.

"Follow me."

Angelyl answered, dragging Tamia and running over, the two of them following closely behind Oreo.

The door of the second shop was closed, but there was a lively commotion inside, and then the third and fourth shops were the same.

Although Tamia was curious, she didn't speak again when she saw Oreo's hurried steps.

There are many exits at the edge of the square, leading to one by one, which looks intricate.

However, Oreo was quite familiar with the environment, and he led the two of them into several corridors and through several squares before finally reaching his destination.

There was only one entrance and exit to the square, and the lights were dim, and the air was hot, and the smell of rusty steel wafted through the air.

There are many huge tents in the square, and the sound of iron knocking comes from the sheds, like some ironwork workshops.

These ironsmithing workshops are located on the mysterious Fourth Street, and they must be producing contraband.

Walking into the last tent with the two of them, the moment the curtain was opened, a wave of heat rushed towards the three of them, and the tent was as hot as the summer in Turin.

Hearing the movement of the door, the blacksmith closest to the door stopped his movements, he wiped his sweat, and then took off his heavy eyes, and his tone was calm.

"Lord Pravor, what wind has blown you over?"

"Rom."

Oreo nodded, and walked around the tent with his hands behind his back, the blacksmith named Roma following him, and the two of them continued to discuss something.

There were a number of workbenches in the tent with unassembled weapon parts, and Tamia and Angelil's attention was mostly drawn to them.

Without Rom's permission, Tamia could only speculate on the role of those things based on her previous experience, but those things were not related to what she had learned in the police academy, and she couldn't see the reason for watching them for a long time.

After a while, the Oreos and the others turned back again, and Tamia and the others faintly heard Rom's voice.

"I've made a prototype of the thunder mercury you mentioned, but I always feel that the thing called a bullet is unreasonable."

"That's not what I'm trying to solve."

Oreo said in a deep voice, "That's it, I still have to go to the auction...... Are you sure your message is accurate? ”

RΓΆm nodded, slipping the heavy eyes back on.

"At least that's when they announced it."

"That's good."

Oreo answered, lifted the curtain and went out.

Tamia and Angelil glanced at each other and hurriedly followed.

It was too uncomfortable to stay in such an unfamiliar, dark environment, and the two of them followed closely behind Oreo.

But looking at the way he took it for granted, Tamia almost wanted to eat him alive.

The three of them walked through the maze for a few more moments, and it was only by this time that Tamia finally understood why Oreo was asking them if they were thirsty or not.

After coming out of the previous blacksmith's workshop, Tamia felt that her mouth was extremely dry, and somehow the underground space was cool, but the air was dry.

It would be nice to have a cup of hot tea at this time.

Speaking of hot tea, a few people happened to pass by the door of a tea shop, and Tamia pulled Angelyl to stop, and then coughed twice.

"Ahem, ahem!"

Oreo stopped, touched the bloody scab on his head, and said suspiciously.

"What's wrong?"

Tamia said quickly.

"Angelyl is thirsty."

Oreo looked at Angelil, and then at the tea shop next to him, his face full of ignorance.

"You want to go inside for tea?"

Tamia rolled her eyes.

"Or else?"

Oreo hesitated for a moment and whispered.

"Those Zuma black teas were all stolen from the palace and sold by the gram."

Angelyl said in surprise.

"Zuma black tea? That's not ...... Isn't that going to be beheaded! ”

"Beheaded?"

Oreo paused, and pointed to the surrounding shops, "On Fourth Street, beheading is probably the least offense...... If you're really thirsty, I'll invite you to a bar later. ”

"No, I don't."

Angelil whispered, but was quickly drowned out by Tamya's voice.

"Let's go shopping!"

"But we have to get the business done first."

Oreo nodded and continued to walk forward.

The further you go, the crowd grows denser, all with ornaments that hide their faces.

Following the crowd, the three of them walked into the cave at the edge of the square, this cave is not known whether it is naturally formed or artificially excavated, the internal space is huge, and the people inside are full of voices.

Oreo explained.

"Auction House of Turin, where you can buy everything in Turin."

Hearing the auction, Angelyl suddenly became nervous.

"Mr. Oreo, what are you here to buy?"

Oreo whispered.

"I'll buy a message."

The crowd of auction participants poured up to the second floor, while Oreo wandered through the lobby on the first floor.

There are many counters set up at the edge of the hall, and there are also quite a few people queuing up at the counters.

The people who come here hide their faces well, and judging from the clothes, there are people of all religions and nine ranks.

Staying in such a place, Tamia always felt uncomfortable, and her proud legs did not bring her much sense of accomplishment, but attracted a lot of dark eyes.

Someday she's going to overturn the whole Fourth Street.

Tamia thought to herself.
