Chapter 16: You Owe Me
Her voice was gentle, not threatening.
"So...... Miss Angely, is there anything I can do for you? ”
Oreo said helplessly.
Hearing his master's words, Cuaron lowered his head in amusement, turned behind Oreo, and bowed his head in silence.
It's only when dealing with rather tricky characters that the two of them put on this stance.
"Mr. Oreo."
Looking into Oreo's eyes, Angelyl said softly.
"Last night, Katyusha went to Eighth Street to receive guests, but she didn't come back this morning. According to the guests, a group of robbers escaped to Eighth Street and are currently hiding in the Red Rock Clubhouse.
They have a lot of hostages in their hands, and I think Katyusha is in it. ”
"You mean let me help you rescue your prostitute friend?"
Oreo spread his hands, "I think you should go to the City Patrol, and I'll have to let Lady Emma negotiate with me." ”
Angelyl took out a bag of gold coins from her waist, the same bag that Oreo gave her yesterday.
"I know your rules here, you only negotiate with money."
Oreo scoffed to cover up his guilt.
"Rescuing a prostitute intact in a frenzied pile of robbers, I think it's worth at least 1,000 gold coins."
Angelyl didn't make a sound, but took something out of her bag, it was a thin, square object, and as it slowly unfolded, Oreo went crazy.
- Damn, it must be a wanted newspaper with a bounty!
Angelelle pushed the unfolded newspaper to Oreo and whispered.
"Kelvin, the leader of the bandits, his head is worth 2,000 gold."
"Are the City Patrol so generous now?"
Oreo pouted.
However, compared to the bounty within the police department, the 2,000 gold coins are not worth mentioning at all.
Angelil withdrew her right hand and looked at the bag of gold coins.
"Mr. Oreo, this is a deposit."
Oreo couldn't resist the stubborn girl, he said angrily.
"Miss Angelil, how do you know I won't refuse you?"
Angelelle didn't answer immediately, but followed the example of Mrs. Peggy last night, half sad, half helpless, and sighed.
"You owe me."
"Oh my God!"
Oreo slammed the table, and he spun around twice in frustration, only to get the bag of gold coins.
He stepped out of the table and strode over Angelyl as he spoke viciously.
"You're a copy of Peggy!"
Angelyl replied calmly.
"I really wanted to be a prostitute, but unfortunately my mother wouldn't let me."
"Bang!"
Oreo slammed the door shut, and he walked down the road in exasperation, staring at the passing crowd with cynical eyes, until he stopped at a candy store on Eighth Street, and his mood eased a little
— but it's still bad overall.
"Hey!"
He turned and stared at his henchman with the cane.
"If you go one step further, it will be seen as your provocation to Detective Oreo!"
Angelil held her hands behind her back and tiptoed slightly in place, looking aggrieved, which caused the surrounding crowd to stop.
Oreo pointed his cane in the direction of Tenth Street and said rudely.
"Go back, I don't want to mess with Peggy anymore!"
Angelyl said quietly.
"I reported it to my mother."
"Then you can follow!"
Oreo walked into the candy store in a rage, and it wasn't long before he saw him walk out of the candy store licking his right hand.
"Suck and slip."
He glared back at Angelyl, "Look at what, you have to eat it and buy it yourself!" ”
Between Marshmallow and Oreo, Angelelle hesitated unusually for a moment.
She hesitated for a long time, and finally chose to walk into the candy store, after all, Oreo would definitely be in the Red Stone Clubhouse.
Angelyl thought.
......
"My friend, I knew you were coming!"
Reka greeted Oreo warmly and looked around.
"What about the powerful manservant?"
Oreo sucked his fingers and slurred.
"I'm enough for one person."
"Make no mistake."
Reka's eyes widened, "Dare you go home to change your clothes?" ”
Oreo lowered his right hand and silently pulled a cane from his waist, and before he could press the cane against Reka's head, Reka quickly apologized.
"It's also great to change your clothes, I know it's the code of a detective."
Pillar cane, Oreo looking across the board.
"Sheriff Tamia, what's going on now?"
Tamia gestured to the Red Stone Clubhouse, which was empty and uninhabited, presumably in a tense standoff.
"We're late, half of the scene is from Kathu, and the other half is the City Patrol from Eighth Street."
Listening to Tamia's words, Oreo frowned.
"So what are you doing here?"
"I remembered the reasoning of the two of you at noon today, so I decided to stay and take a look."
Tamia gestured to the refreshments on the table.
"Besides, it tastes good."
Oreo nodded and sat down across from Tamia.
"That's very extreme reasoning, and I don't recommend you take it to heart."
"Hey."
Reka looked at the unusual partner and reached out to touch his forehead.
"Do you have a fever?"
Oreo used his cane to open Reca's hand.
"I'm fine."
"It's all big men, what's wrong with touching it."
Reka smirked back her right hand and sat down beside Tamya.
Avoiding Tamia's scrutinizing gaze, Oreo said lightly.
"I told you, I have a habit of cleanliness."
After this topic was over, the three of them did not find a new topic, so refreshments on the table became the only pastime.
Fortunately, time flies quickly when the brain is running at a high speed, and Oreo feels like he has just sat down for an afternoon.
However, there was no sunset this evening, and the sky was very gloomy.
Tamia leaned against the railing and squinted her eyes to rest, while Reka looked toward the Redstone Clubhouse.
If it weren't for the fact that he was with Tamia, he wouldn't have come to do such a laborious and thankless job, and he was bored at the moment.
Suddenly, he noticed something, and immediately craned his neck to look out.
"They seem to be negotiating?"
Oreo poked his head out as well, and four of them were facing each other in front of the Red Stone Clubhouse, but they quickly ended their conversation.
Judging from the actions of the two detectives, the negotiations most likely collapsed.
Awakened by the movement of the two, Tamia stood up in a daze, then stumbled on her feet, nearly falling to the ground
—but Oreo was quick to hold her.
Within a considerable distance, the two looked at each other for a short moment before quickly parting.
Tamia touched her ears and said casually.
"Don't worry, I'm clean."
Although Reka was furious, she could only sigh helplessly in the end, like a resentful woman who was hurting her spring by the railing.
