Chapter X

Perhaps because of a day of shopping, Gray and Dilly were both very tired after dinner. They were washed up and ready for bed before eleven o'clock.

"Good night, Gray." Deli said.

"Good night, dear." Gray kissed Deeli on the cheek. Turn off the lights.

Lying on the bed, Deli couldn't sleep, she tossed and turned and thought about one thing—tonight, will Kaz scream again?

At supper, Kaz crouched at their feet, munching on the flesh and bones; When watching TV, he lazily dozed off next to the sofa in the living room - no matter how you look at it, Kaz looks like an ordinary dog - but why does it bark unusually in the middle of the night?

Thinking about it, Deeli fell asleep unconsciously.

After some time, Dilly felt the bed shake a little, and she opened her eyes in a daze, only to find Gray sitting up from the bed. He put on his slippers, walked to the door, and opened the door.

Dee Li looked at the wall clock on the wall, it was two twenty o'clock. She remembered that Gray had drunk two more bottles of sparkling wine after dinner tonight—maybe it was time to go to the bathroom.

Gray had already walked out of the room by this time, and in order not to wake up Dilly, he deliberately did not turn on the light, and groped out.

Dee Li rolled over, ready to go back to sleep.

Suddenly, she opened her eyes again—she heard Gray coming down the stairs from the second floor.

Dilly sat up from the bed alertly, and she felt incredulous - why did Gray go to the bathroom on the first floor when there was a large bathroom on the second floor? Didn't he go to the toilet?

Thinking of this, Di Li felt a chill in her back, and she had a sense of fear - what was Gray doing on the first floor in the middle of the night?

Dee Li slid out of bed and put on her slippers.

Gray did come out of the bathroom on the first floor, turned off the light, and felt the railing of the stairs to go up to the second floor.

Gray went upstairs with his head down, and when he was about to reach the second floor, he inadvertently looked up and saw a black figure standing in front of him.

"Ahh Gray let out a yell, and his body fell backwards, almost falling down the stairs.

"Gray, it's me!" In the darkness, Deli hurriedly stepped forward to support Gray.

"Deere? You are crazy? Black Gul stood there in winter, without saying a word - do you want to scare me to death! Gray clutched his heart and said in shock.

"Gray, I'...... I'm just coming out and seeing what you're doing downstairs. Dilly explained apologetically.

"What am I going to do downstairs?" Gray said angrily, "Of course, go to the bathroom." ”

Di Li stared at the blurred dark shadow in front of her and said, "But, there is obviously a bathroom on the second floor, why do you go to the first floor to go to the toilet?" ”

Gray was silent for a few seconds: "Isn't Kaz in the bathroom on the second floor?" ”

"So what? Is Kaz in his own kennel, does it affect your use of the toilet? ”

Dilly's question seemed to leave Gray speechless, and he paused for a few moments without speaking.

"Hmm...... The toilet on the second floor is a toilet, and I am used to the toilet with a squatting toilet, so ......"

"But, Gray. You didn't even say you could talk about the second-floor toilet because Kaz was in it. ”

"Of course...... That's a reason, too, but the main ...... is that "Gray is stumbling and increasingly unable to justify himself."

"Gray, are you making up the reason?" Dellie asked suspiciously, "Are you hiding what you're doing from me?" ”

"I don't ......," Gray paused, "Deere, you're interrogating me again." ”

"I just wanted you to tell me the truth!"

"I'm telling the truth!" Gray began to get impatient, "It's you who don't believe it, okay, I'm going to sleep, I don't want to dwell on these boring questions anymore!" ”

"Boring question?" Surprised, Dee Li asked, "Gray, do you think I'm being vexatious?" ”

Gray didn't say anything more, and he walked straight to the bedroom.

Deli watched Gray walk into the room alone, ignoring her, and suddenly felt a chill in her heart.

But she had no choice, and after standing at the top of the stairs for more than ten seconds, Deli had no choice but to return to her bedroom.

This time when she was in bed, Deli couldn't close her eyes at all, she couldn't sleep at all.

Dilly's eyes were fixed on the big wall clock on the wall, and she watched the minutes pass by, nervously waiting for that moment to come.

Dee Li felt that an hour at this time felt like a day to her.

Finally—it was 3:15.
