Chapter 146: Listening to the Story of the Fireplace (9)

1. Guarding the corpse

Legend has it that once upon a time there was such a trade-corpse keeper.

What they guarded were some hanged, thrown into the river, and so on, and the corpses that had not been claimed after they died. Why guard these corpses? That's the fear of deceiving corpses! People were afraid that the corpses would wander around, so they sent people to watch them all night until the family came to find them and bury the dead.

There is a corpse keeper who has been descending from generation to generation, and the people in the village call him Lao Wang, and it has been passed down to his generation for five generations.

One day, a stranger hanged himself from a crooked-necked tree by the river at the head of the village, a scholar in his 20s. The villagers guessed that it must be because of the failure of the examination that they couldn't think of finding a short-term view. No one in the village knew the hanged young man, and they didn't know where his home was, so they decided to let Lao Wang guard the corpse, while sending people to the nearby village to inquire, and when he found his family, he would set up a tomb and a monument, and lay it in the ground.

At night, Lao Wang sat alone beside the jujube tree hanged by the young man, a small round table, a wooden square stool, a pot of wine, and a few small dishes, all of which were necessary for Lao Wang, one was to drive away the cold at night, and the other was to refresh himself, because the corpse keeper could not sleep all night, and he had to guard the corpse until dawn.

Lao Wang drank a few glasses of wine, ate a few mouthfuls of food, and didn't feel sleepy, because last night and a few people in the neighboring village gambled on the dice, the idea back, lost two Yuan Datou, Lao Wang didn't sleep well all night, not to say, the more he thought about it, the more he wanted to find those people to gamble again, and win back the two Yuan Datou, who knew that those people were all very cunning, which gnawed to give Lao Wang the opportunity to turn the book, they all said that there was something wrong, and they refused to gamble anymore.

Lao Wang drank wine alone, glanced at the scholar hanging from the tree, and said, "Alas, why do you want to die? Stay in the green mountains, are you afraid that there will be no firewood? I didn't make it this year, and there will be next year. Young man, I just can't think about it. Lao Wang shook his head, casually drank another glass of wine, yawned, and felt that his two eyelids were getting heavier and heavier, as if they were weighing a thousand pounds, and his drowsiness was getting stronger and stronger. Lao Wang couldn't stand it anymore, he wanted to squint for a while, and he was afraid that the scholar would come down and "go" by himself, so he took out a piece of incense from his pocket, lit it, and inserted it into the scholar's sleeve. In this way, once the corpse leaves the place, because there is a bright light after the incense is lit, it is obvious in the dark night, as soon as the light moves, Lao Wang can see it immediately, and then use the ancestral housekeeping skills to catch the corpse back.

After taking care of all this, Lao Wang looked at it for a while, and saw that the incense was still burning, so he put his head on his hand and took a nap on the round table.

Quietly at night, on the path by the river, a drunken man staggered towards Lao Wang, because it was dark at night, and he couldn't see the scholar hanging on the jujube tree. The drunkard walked a few steps, and suddenly wanted to smoke, so he took out a dry tobacco pouch from his pocket, rolled a dry tobacco with skillful skill, and when he went to touch the match, he couldn't touch it, and scolded "Fuck it!" Ran out. Then he stumbled on, and suddenly saw a fire not far ahead, the size of a cigarette butt. The drunk man thought to himself, "Hey, this brother knows I'm going to smoke, so he's waiting for me with a fire." The drunkard staggered towards the firelight, and was so drunk that he did not see clearly that it was a hanged man until he came to the scholar's side.

"Brother、、、、、、 borrow a 、、、、、、 fire." The drunk man said with a full burp.

After waiting for a while, seeing that he was silent, the drunkard thought to himself: yes, I'll do it myself. So, he reached out and touched the fire, took it and lit the cigarette in his hand. After a few puffs and a good addiction to smoking, the drunk did not forget to thank the person who lent him the fire, saying, "Thank you、、、、、、 thank you, brother." So saying, he returned the incense to him, and when he had not reacted, the drunkard felt strange, and by the light of the fire, he approached the scholar to see him. This look was amazing, and suddenly the drunkard's alcohol strength woke up half, only to see the scholar's face pale, his tongue sticking out of his mouth, drooping down from his mouth, and his eyes turned upward, leaving only the white whites of his eyes, which looked very scary.

The drunk man gasped, only felt that his legs and stomach were spinning, and he wanted to run, but he couldn't use his strength, and he wanted to shout, and he opened his mouth, but he couldn't make a sound. The drunk man had no choice but to lean down and start climbing. Crawl, crawl, crawl back、、、、、、

Lao Wang, who was sleeping soundly, heard the movement, and when he opened his eyes, he saw that the light of incense was moving slowly on the ground, and Lao Wang thought: "Hey, okay, you kid, you are not honest when you die, see me arrest you back!" Lao Wang walked quickly behind the drunk, slapped the drunkard on the shoulder, and shouted: "Where are you going, kid!" Come back to Lao Tzu! "This shot is good, the drunk thought it was the hanged man who came to arrest him, and he was scared to death on the spot.

Lao Wang carried the drunk man to the jujube tree, wanting to hang the corpse again, but he went to the tree and looked: Hey? Why is there another one?。。。。。

2. Widows

Qu Dongjiang told me that it was a county that was adjacent to them, and I didn't know what county it was -- this county has a characteristic: there is a widow in this county.

One night, still a summer evening. The widow slept in the house, and I guess she wore less clothes in the summer, and the windows were probably open. There was a pervert, and I found out, the black light was blind, and I couldn't see the appearance clearly, anyway, I was just looking at a bunch of meat and a girl.

The pervert was bold enough to jump out of the window and go in and ooxx the widow. We don't know if this widow is really asleep or pretending to be asleep, anyway, she didn't wake up until ooxx was finished, and she exclaimed: "Brother pervert, what's your name?" ”

The inner pervert said: "My name is Lei Feng." "--I ran through the window.

The widow is so angry, we don't know why she is angry--anyway, as if she was afraid that others would not know about it, she scolded all day long:

"A pervert with a thousand cuts! Colored, colored, colorless! You have the ability to leave a real name! ”

No one paid attention to her stubble, just like that, after coming and going, the widow got sick, and she died. Until she died, she didn't know who this living Lei Feng was, so she went with endless regrets.

The widow had been dead for more than four years, and suddenly Li Shi, a villager from the same village, had Lei shake to deathβ€”he was shocked to death, his appearance intact, and his inside was a mess.

Everyone came to see the excitement, and an old lady in the same village was the most peculiar, and she put her hands together and chanted the Buddha:

"Amitabha, the widow's revenge is washed away today~~"

Everyone asked what's going on?

The old lady said:

"On that summer night four years ago, the widow made people ooxx, in fact, I saw it that day, Li Shi, this kid jumped into the wall from the widow's house, jumped out of the 、、、、、、"

Everyone said that you had dried your hair a long time ago, but now you said that you might not be angry if you said that the widow was earlier.

The old lady said:

"You also said, is it easy for you to be me, I am such a gossip person, this matter has been held back for more than four years--I'm not afraid that Li Shi will retaliate against me."

(Ray, you should have even split this.) οΌ‰

3. A pair of embroidered shoes

My mother-in-law's mother-in-law's family used to be a landlord, and her family was simply a mountain of money, so she was often kidnapped by the bandits around her and ransomed with money and grain.

This year, the bandits began to kidnap tickets again, this time it was a female relative (I can't remember what kind of relative it was), and sent a notice to my mother-in-law's house to ask when to pay the money. Then the relative was left alone in a small two-story wooden house and left to herself. The guards and bandits played cards and drank outside the house, waiting for the ransom to be delivered (thieves also have a way, as long as the ransom is paid, no personal harm is done).

It was late, I felt very bored in the house alone, and I didn't feel too worried, probably because similar situations had happened too many times, so I simply took off my coat, went to bed, put my clothes on my body, and looked at the tung oil lamp next to me. At this time, she suddenly heard the sound of someone walking upstairs, because it was a wooden building, so the sound was very loud and clear. Relatives felt strange and felt that in such a situation, how could there be people upstairs? So she stared curiously at the wooden ladder that led to the second floor in the room. The sound of people moving is very clear, but the footsteps are very slow, and the footsteps stop abruptly when they reach the ladder. Feeling strange, the relative stared intently at the top of the ladder, wondering who it was. After a long while, the footsteps began again, and a red shadow swayed a few times above the ladder, "pop", and something fell down on the first step, and the relative looked at it, it was a pink embroidered shoe, and his heart suddenly became furious. Then, another embroidered shoe also fell down and landed on the second staircase. The two shoes went down the ladder alternately, and the wooden ladder made a "squeak" sound. The scalp of the relative exploded all at once, and he didn't even have time to put on his clothes, so he rushed to the door barefoot and shouted: "There are ghosts! There are ghosts! "Shouting and slamming the door, slamming the door loudly.

The bandits outside heard the heart-rending screams of my relatives and hurriedly opened the door and rescued her.

There was a little daughter-in-law who was hanged in that small building, and probably the embroidered shoes were hers.

4. Stand-in

This story was told by an elder, it was a story from the 50s, and it was said to be true, but there is no way to verify it.

On the railway from Shijiazhuang to Taiyuan, there is a very small station called Douyu Station, and a strange tragedy occurred on the railway near here.

At that time, the railway did not have so many protective measures, and many crossings were unguarded, just on a crossing near the station, one after another people were hit by trains and died, so that crossing was a murderous place.

It happened at noon in the summer, a 6-year-old girl, temporarily named Yeziba, carrying a basket, probably came out to mow the grass, and unconsciously walked to the middle of the railway. At this time, many adults were working in the fields on both sides of the railway, and everyone didn't care when they saw the leaves walking in the middle of the railway.

At this time, a whistle was heard in the distance, and a train was coming.

The leaves probably heard it too, but for some reason, they stood in the middle of the road, not moving, and the adults began to shout in panic, "Leaves, get out of the way!" "The leaves go to the edge." But the leaves still don't move.

The train was getting closer, and they could already see it from afar, and at this time the adults were really anxious, so they stopped what they were doing and shouted as hard as they could. Ye Zi seemed to react suddenly and began to run to the side, but something strange happened, Ye Zi ran to the left, turned around and ran to the right, ran to the right and turned around and ran to the left, back and forth, but she couldn't run the railway, looking at the situation, it was clear that there was something on both sides of the railway blocking her.

The adults suddenly realized that this was very strange, and some men threw down the things in their hands to save the leaves, and the women were even more panicked, and they were so frightened that they looked at the leaves that were still running back and forth.

However, it was too late, the train whizzed by, and in the end people only found a few hairs and an empty basket on the track.

The place where the accident happened was less than 200 meters away from the murderous mouth, and some people said that something was looking for a substitute to press the little girl on the railway.

5. Roast the fire

In the past, not everyone of the peasants had land to plant, to eat, they had to go to the landlord's house as a long-term worker, also called carrying work, you know, this is very bitter, not to mention anything else, because there is no rest day, to work every day, do not do well and be scolded, generally a year can share some grain home, at the end of the year, the landlord will invite the long-term workers to eat a good meal, and then each person will share the wages and grain, let the long-term workers go home for the New Year, and wait for the beginning of spring, and then come back to work.

It is said that there are so many long-term workers, together in a landlord's house dozens of miles away from home to work, the harvest at the end of the year is good, the landlord invited everyone to eat dumplings in the evening, and drank some wine, each person got the wages, several people are very happy, should have left tomorrow, but everyone is excited, a year has not seen his wife, and drank some wine, impulsively, he decided to go back tonight, dozens of miles of road, to the middle of the night to get home. When the landlord found out, he persuaded them, saying that the road was not smooth, because it was a war year and there were dead people everywhere. But the young man did not listen, so he insisted on setting out.

Not long after walking to the road, it snowed, and several people relied on the strength of the wine to brave the snow, but the weather was really cold, and the night was deep, but fortunately, they were all young and could resist.

When everyone was cold and sleepy, they suddenly found that there was a fire in front of them, and when they got closer, several people were roasting the fire there.

I walked over and talked to a few people who were cooking the fire, but those people didn't seem to like to talk much, they just lowered their heads to bake the fire, and a few long-term workers didn't care so much, so they sat down around the fire.

The long-term workers put their hands on the flames, it was so warm, and their hands immediately had a temperature, but why did their bodies get colder and colder?

The next day, a man passed by and found several dead people scattered all over the place, as well as a fire that had been extinguished, and the man was so frightened that he hurried to report to the police、、、、、、

After verification, the dead people were those long-term workers, and none of them were spared, and they all froze to death.

No one knows how they froze to death. However, there is a folklore that on a cold winter night, a ghost who freezes to death comes out to suck the heat from the living. Come to think of it, these long-term workers have met frozen ghosts.

6. Pull your hair

Once I went to the countryside to play, I saw a grave full of wild vegetables, because I was young and didn't know how to be afraid, I played games with my friends.

We ran around the grave, pulling the grass out of the grave as we played. When I got home, I took a shower and went to sleep, and I slept hard all night, feeling like someone was pulling my hair all the time.

The next day, my mother was surprised to find that there was not much hair left, and I told her about the grass I had pulled out of the grave grass. My mother was frightened, and took me to the grave to burn the paper and kowtow to it.

From then on, I never dared to play on the grave again.
