Chapter Twenty-Eight: The Beggar Man

Even if you leave your hometown, even if no one knows you, even if you beg along the road, even if you can't see the future, it's okay, leaving is the beginning.

Beggers from all walks of life fled to this border city, where there was a huge and frequent flow of people, in search of a place to live.

Due to the geographical location of the city itself, as well as the unique culture of the city, they can only keep their heads down when begging.

In this way, those who originally knew them could not see their appearance clearly, and it was impossible to recognize them.

Life is often full of difficulties for beggars, but it is the little hope in their hearts that makes them reluctant to give up life.

He is even more unwilling to give up his life, unwilling to give up hard-won opportunities, and unwilling to give up the beauty that may exist.

I don't want to let my life end inexplicably in this era of development, wouldn't this be too much of a loss and too bad.

Even begging in the streets and alleys of the border city, in small shops, it is enough to ask for a little leftovers to eat.

The border city is often visited by many wealthy families, and sometimes if you are lucky, you may have a few well-wishers.

Even if the playboy or the rich lady doesn't give much money, at least for a while, there will be a little bit of improvement.

Sometimes you may be ridiculed by children, sometimes you may be spurned by people on the street, and sometimes you can't think about the meaning of life.

Or sometimes begging, accidentally blocking other people's business, and being chased around, too late to clean up.

Sometimes you may be kicked by some local bullies, and you don't dare to fight back, let alone do it, you can only eat deflated.

But these are small things, not enough to change their attitude towards life when they look down and look forward, no matter how difficult it is, and forget the past.

These are all things that Ivan knew after he met them, and he sincerely admired them, and even trusted them very much.

These people are the best example of how to grow up in the face of adversity, even if they are broken by someone, even if they are born without wings.

can still fly against the wind, only to live, to live, is the greatest meaning, if you die, there is no meaning.

These begging people are the ones who can really give a crisp and resounding slap in the face to those in the world who think they live in the lowest places, who think that their lives have no direction and no hope, and at the same time let them see the essence and meaning of life.

It is true that beggars are materially poor, but spiritually they are richer than many people.

Their hearts are not poor, just like the beggars that Ivan met along the way, they often had their own miserable appearances.

Except for the one assassin who pretended to beg but was actually trying to assassinate, many beggars were just poor people.

Ivan just wanted to help them, to help them as much as he could, and never thought about getting something in return from them.

Ivan had no such thoughts, which would make him feel that he had good intentions from the heart, with other intentions and purposes.

Such kindness was no longer pure, but only hypocrisy, and Ivan respected them and treated them as ordinary people.

There has never been any discrimination or disdain for who they are, more often than not, there is a desire to change them from the inside out.

Even though Ivan knew that his power was very small, it would take a process, and he would need more powerful people to help.

Ivan stood at the door of the room, looking at the person in front of him, even though the person in front of him lowered his head, there was not much difference in height between the two.

This also makes it convenient for Ivan to look at the person in front of him by turning his head slightly.

Ivan didn't rush to see his appearance, just looked at his appearance and the aura of the whole person, and he was able to determine this person.

He was the same beggar who had come to report to him a few times yesterday, his height, his voice, and the overall feeling.

All of this made Ivan feel very familiar, but he seemed to be a little tired today. Presumably, he got the relevant news very early, so he rushed to his side. He didn't necessarily get a good night's sleep, he looked a little sleepy.

Maybe it was the long wait outside the room that made him a little listless, Ivan guessed why.

Thinking from this angle, Ivan couldn't help but want to look at the person in front of him, and turned his face sideways, and the beggar had some dust on his face.

Even if the beggar didn't look sleepy-eyed, it made Ivan feel that he was holding on a little, and his facial features showed that he was nervous.

Ivan looked at the beggar's face for a moment, it was supposed to be the appearance of a young boy, but it was not very clean.

Through the boy's facial features, Ivan guessed that the boy should only look like thirteen or fourteen years old, which is exactly when the body is growing.

Even though the boy's lips looked a little dry, his eyes were still bright and had a youthful glow.

This was the kind of vigor that Ivan could rarely see in the eyes of a beggar, and this boy was obviously different from other beggars.

He is still so young, how can he become a beggar, presumably from a not very happy background and a not very happy family.

Even though Ivan looked at the boy's face, he could still feel his gaze dodging, and he didn't want to make eye contact with himself.

In the boy's mind, telling Ivan the news was the most important thing for him, and Ivan didn't know anything about it.

Ivan looked at the boy in front of him, and for a moment he was in his mind, after all, they were people of about the same age. If he lived in an ordinary family, with a father and a mother's love, no matter how he was, he would not have been able to fall into such a fate, he could only beg.

couldn't help but feel a little distressed, he should be just an ordinary person, Ivan's breathing gradually became lighter.

Why does this boy look so humble in front of him, the unfortunate people in this world often have their own misfortunes.

And status, family background, power and power, in Ivan's view, have really gradually become something that can never be surmounted.

Ivan's mind was still thinking about other things, but his body couldn't help but make some movements, and he began to move.

Ivan listened to the boy's words, and after a while, quickly walked back into the room. The boy was in sight, looking at his shoes, which had I don't know how many holes they had broken, and in front of him was Ivan's, and his shoes suddenly turned in a different direction.

It must have been back in the room, the boy thought, but Ivan was willing to open the door and thank him, he was satisfied.

Ivan didn't have time to explain too much, and he found a teacup on the tea table in his room.

Picked up the teapot that the shopkeeper brought up yesterday and poured a glass of water into the teacup, he just wanted the boy to drink some water.
