The second part of the Sea of Dragon's Guardian 39 is coming to an end and about to begin

39 The end and the beginning

The Beautiful Starlight is a standard cargo ship, there is no such space as a guest cabin, including the captain, and all the crew can sleep in a random place on board. Captain Allen has created a private space for the three female passengers, while the male passengers are treated like ordinary sailors, with no privacy to speak of.

Captain Allen used a small boat to carry a few people to visit the two ships behind, and sure enough, as he said, it was full of spices, wood and other goods, and only a few powder kegs, which made Milo and the others more relieved.

Erin didn't get seasick, because the captain gave her a good job and asked her to cook in the kitchen, and the crew improved their food, and everyone liked Erin's craft very much. As a thank you to Erin for her efforts, the chef of the Beautiful Starlight taught Erin how to make cakes, and she quickly learned how to do it.

On November 14, the Beautiful Starlight sailed into the Constant Temperature Sea from the south, exactly more than a month ago, Milo and his party entered the Constant Temperature Sea from the north on the Union. It was still the sea where there was no wind and the temperature remained the same, but the mood of the four people was very different from before.

To the left of the Beautiful Starlight, to the west, the golden line appeared on time, and it remained the same as it had been, with the slight difference that the sky over the Desperate Desert was slightly grayish, probably a sandstorm. No one paid attention to the yellow line—except for Kelan, who sometimes stared at the golden continent of the West, as if trying to see through the endless sand, but she never mentioned it to anyone.

Nightfinch and Koran occasionally discuss the topic of magic, and she specially borrowed Kolan's Saknusem Manuscript, which, like her own, was not as thick as the one of the wind chimes. Nightfinch told Kolan about the thicker Saknusem manuscript published 1250 years ago, and Kolan said: "Well, yes, the manuscript published before 1250 records a lot of content, but it is said that many sentences are deleted that are extremely difficult to decipher but have little practical use. The condensed Manuscripts greatly increased the popularity of magic, which also made it clear at the time that the publication of the Manuscripts must be in a condensed version, and most of the thicker ones were recycled and destroyed...... Although this practice is somewhat extreme, judging from the current popularity, it is indeed better than it was at the time. Nightfinch was pleased with this explanation, which cleared her long-standing doubts.

Kelan was also interested in the mage Wind Chime, which was often mentioned by several people, but none of them told her much information, including that Wind Chimes could use teleportation magic alone. It's not that people don't believe in Kelan, it's that they think it's disrespectful to the wind chimes.

On November 20, the Beautiful Starlight finally sailed out of the Constant Temperature Sea, two days longer than the Union. In the following voyages, the number of ships continued to increase. On the morning of November 30th, the northern coast was already in sight, and it was expected that in the afternoon, the Beautiful Starlight would arrive in Windwalk. The journey that began on October 6 has lasted nearly two months, and it is finally coming to an end, and the long-lost Fengxing Town is close at hand. Unable to hide their joy, Milo and his party stood on the bow of the ship and looked out over the northern coast, as if they had seen the people of the harbor waving their hands at them to welcome them back.

Erin clasped her hands together and silently thanked those who had escorted them on this difficult journey, praying for their fate.

Milo also recalled the people and things they encountered along the way, which is still vivid, and the actions of Milo and others have more or less changed the fate of many people, perhaps, most of their deeds have little to do with the main line of our story, but we are also here to sort them out, so that our story does not leave any regrets:

The first is the wind chimes that say goodbye, which is very much in line with her style, and she has not been seen before Milo and the others have left Windwalk, and she has not even said goodbye to anyone. No one knows where she went, but in later stories, we will meet her and tell the story of her and her lover.

Captain Finn and his Union returned to the port of Persima in the "Golden City", where he thought he would be fine enough, but with news from all over the world, it was finally determined that he had helped the wanted man escape from Dragon. The army seized his Union and crew and had to pay a fine and spend several months in prison, but the gold that Milo gave him was enough to pay the fine and get him released on bail early. After his release from prison, Captain Finn and his crew continued to sail the Union to and from various ports to deliver food to Il Island...... It's a pity that he never docked at Fengxing Town again during this period. It wasn't until later during the "Raid on Port Wall" that shocked the world that he would meet Milo and the others again.

Dr. Morel and his medical team on the island of Il remained on the island, and since the original medicine did not work, they began to make new medicines themselves to deal with the growing plague. Three months after Milo left Ill Island, they finally succeeded in concocting a special medicine that cured most of the patients on Ill Island and sent them back to Sprout. The 1,000 gold coins donated by Melo played a crucial role in the process of making medicines, and Morel mentioned Milo's contribution several times in his letters to the authorities. Sadly, Dr. Morel died of illness due to a long and high workload and was cremated on the island of Il. Dr. Morrell's name is also inscribed on the monument, just after Edward Trister's name.

The Seagull was eventually determined to be sunk when the steamship was attacking, and due to its flying of the Dragon flag, it was listed as a priority target. Fortunately, Captain Yule and most of the crew were rescued by the surrounding merchant ships and saved their lives. Hule, who returned to Dragon, switched to overland trade and achieved a small success. He was always at ease with Milo's affairs, because he had not been able to complete the transfer agreement, and he was afraid for a long time. Later, after learning of the fate of Milo and the others, he decided to send him back the deposit that Milo had paid him, plus his own liquidated damages. However, due to his business loss, this plan was stillborn.

The Pearl still travels between Aube and Spleit, and Jasmine's "In Praise of the Dragon" still echoes across the Dragon's Sea.

The crew of the steamship was sent back to Harbor Wall, where the admirals ostensibly condemned them for illegal privateering and secretly praised and rewarded them for their contributions to the country, and as Captain Allen put it, they were veritable unsung heroes.

The legend of the dragon continues, and occasionally there are stories of dragons sinking pirate ships or privateers, but as seen on the Pearl, the dragon's true body has never been discovered or discovered, and the dragon's existence remains a mystery.

The last thing to say is the war in the south of the Split Empire, after the siege of Anselson City was lifted, the two sides entered a stalemate, with the steady stream of reinforcements of the Split Empire's army, plus the United Kingdom's sea supply lines and trade lines were repeatedly attacked, the Split Empire turned the tide of the war, and the time for a counterattack could come at any time, and there was news that the rulers of the two countries had begun to consider peace talks.

……

At this point, the curtain of the story of "The Curse of the Stars" has been slowly opened, and the main characters of the current era are basically together, and the legends, prophecies, and mysteries about the stars will be narrated and solved one after another, but the black hand behind the "curse" is still hidden in layers of fog......

On the evening of November 30th, the Beautiful Starlight slowly sailed into the harbor of Fengxing Town. Viscount Li, who got the news, made a special trip to greet the four of Milo outside Fengxing Town, and also specially welcomed Captain Koran and Allen, who arrived together. The Viscount held a dinner party for the two dignitaries, and promised Captain Alan that he would buy the goods on his ship at a high price to thank them for saving their lives.

At the Viscount's kind invitation, Klan also officially agreed to build a library for Windwalk, but she said that she would first go to the Spallow Empire to complete an important task, and would probably return to Windrun early next year. The viscount proposed to equip Kelan with corresponding carriages and horses to improve efficiency, but was politely rejected by the other party.

The dinner party was very lively, and everyone enjoyed it, but the viscount still ended the banquet on time, so that Milo and the others could rest in time.

That night, Milo did not sleep in his own room, he fell asleep in the room where Heidi lived, and he met the maiden again in a dream, conveying to her what had happened on this trip, and also feeling regret and sorrow for the affairs of her family. The girl in the dream did not cry, but comforted him not to blame himself, and the dead people were irretrievable, so let them merge into their bodies, and remember and miss them with their own hearts. When Milo woke up from his dream, his face was full of tears......

Early in the morning of December 1st, facing the howling cold wind, Koran Dutved said goodbye to Milo and others, Viscount, and Captain Allen one by one.

"I'll be back in a month." Kelan said with a smile. Erin stepped forward to hug Klan, and she couldn't hold back her tears. When Klan's figure disappeared to the western horizon, Erin's tears welled up.

In the afternoon, a caravan from Windrun to Butler City was ready to depart, and the escorting bodyguards were doing the final checks and counts. Erin found the lead bodyguard, handed him a few gold coins, and left after a few words. A short time later, Milo also arrived, handed a letter and a few gold coins to the leading bodyguard, and instructed him to deliver the letter to the designated mansion. The bodyguard complained to Milo that Erin's requirements were too harsh before, and he actually asked him to buy flowers this winter, and when Milo learned about the variety of flowers that Erin requested, he gave the bodyguard a few more gold coins and told him to fulfill Erin's wish.

Twenty days later, the Count's Mansion of Akkai in Butler received an unsigned bouquet of flowers, including carnations, gladiolus, and white roses, decorated with a starry sky. Count Akayi was puzzled when he got the flowers, but fortunately, the countess understood the flower language: "mother", "father", "daughter" and "happiness". The couple understood that this was Erin's message, and they were moved to tears.

On the same day, in the same city of Butler, Count Entekoman received a letter, and it is said that when he read it, he burst into tears and cried like a child, and was so excited that he could not speak for a long time. That evening, Count Entekermann was in good spirits and visited Count Akay's house, where several old friends told many interesting stories, and laughter spread out of the mansion, attracting the neighbors and passers-by to stop and watch—they had not seen the old men laugh so merrily for a long time.

Also, a bouquet of flowers was placed in front of a mansion in the imperial capital, and the family crest at the door was a golden flag with a rising lion printed on it.

Some things are finally over, and some things are about to begin.
