Chapter 12: The Evil Spirit

"Yuxian, I'm back." Suddenly, I heard someone talking behind me.

But when I turned around, there was nothing behind me. I took a step forward, but it was like falling into an abyss with no end.

I woke up from bed with a lot of cold sweat on my body. I turned on the lamp and looked at the time: 03:00.

It was quiet outside, unusually quiet. I was suddenly depressed, as if I had just lost something very important.

The voice in the dream was familiar, I seemed to have heard it somewhere. My eyes were hazy with a moment of tiredness, and I fell asleep again.

The next day, I felt as if I had a lot of different dreams one after another, but I couldn't remember it.

"Xiaoxian, are you very tired today?" Li Wan saw that I was in a bad state and asked with concern.

"A little. I had a lot of dreams last night and didn't sleep well. "After that, I yawned a lot.

"You know what? Yujian Road has been haunted lately. Chang Lan said to us mysteriously.

I guess probably the woman who died in that car accident last time. But strangely, Chang Lan shook his head.

Li Wan and I both looked at her suspiciously.

"It's like a ghost dressed in black. It's floating there at night. It is said that he has a terrifying face and a pair of very frightening eyes. โ€

I was a little puzzled and asked curiously, "Shouldn't I be wearing a red and white dress?" โ€

Chang Lan shook her head, slowly leaned her face between me and Li Wan, and whispered, "It is said that it is a soul seeker." โ€

"Jingle bellโ€”" The class bell rang. Chang Lan sat back in his place unsatisfied.

After evening self-study, I walked alone on Yujian Road. Strange to say, I haven't seen the ghost of the young lady who died in a car accident since the last time I saw her. Sometimes, it's really a pity. That sister looks pretty good, why is her life so short. Also, on the day of the car accident, I vaguely felt the yellow sand blowing into my eyes, which was really a bit hanging. The road is so clean, where does the sand come from? Or was it that at that time, that sister had already been hit by a car? At that time, when my eyes were in the sand, I did hear a very rapid whistle and a screeching sound of brakes.

It's scary to think about. Am I missing something?

"I'm not going back." Suddenly, I heard someone say something cold from a short distance. I looked across the side. I saw a familiar looking man leaning against a telephone pole, his head facing the other side, as if I wasn't listening to anyone.

"Young Master, go back quickly. Now it's so cold outside, I'm going to get a cold. "It was a middle-aged uncle who spoke. He was dressed in a black suit and shiny black leather shoes.

"Let's go. It was the old man who asked me to come out, and now he is asking me to go back, what do you mean? He turned his head and looked at the uncle in front of him with an unhappy expression.

Only then did I realize that the young man who spoke was Han Wanting.

I didn't care about what happened later, I just pretended not to see anything and moved on.

I trotted all the way home, and suddenly saw the lights at the staircase flickering and flickering.

I walked upstairs confused. When I returned home, I found it pitch black. Usually, my mother usually sits on the sofa and waits for me, but why didn't I see her today? I tiptoed into my mother's bedroom. I saw that she was sleeping soundly, and then I was relieved to go back to my room.

As soon as I entered the bedroom door, I smelled a foul odor. I pinched my nose and looked around for the source of the flavor, but I couldn't find anything.

Suddenly, a hand was placed on my shoulder.

I was so scared that I almost fainted. I wanted to scream for help, but I couldn't make any sound out of my mouth.

I closed my eyes, even though I knew it was no different from covering my ears and stealing the bell.

"You can see me, right?" A chill hit my ears.

She was the weird sister I met on Yujian Road.

I could clearly sense that if I didn't answer, she might choke my neck all at once.

"Yes." I replied almost tremblingly.

"That day, I was hit by a car and I was killed, and you were right next to it, right?"

"I don't know." I looked at her with a shudder.

Her hands were thin and pale, and her fingers were long and crooked.

"You're going to help me find someone." Her voice was furious and murderous.

I didn't speak, because of hesitation, and because of fear.

"You don't want to?" She suddenly floated in front of me, staring at me with a pair of hollow, dead eyes. Unlike before, today, there is an aura of fear in her.

She suddenly reached out and grabbed me by the neck. Those horrible nails almost pierced my veins. For a moment, the fear of death flooded my heart. I had a hard time breathing and kept struggling.

I was breathing hard and had to compromise: "What do you want me to do?" โ€

She slowly let go of her hand. I relieved myself and gulped in the air.

"Give this to a man named Zeng Ke. He lives in 303, Building 7, West Road Garden." She said through gritted teeth.

She had an envelope in her hand at some point. The envelope was stained with a lot of blood. Trembling, I took the letter.

She snorted coldly and turned into a dark green puff of smoke. Even the stench dissipated. I breathed a sigh of relief, but I was still anxious.

The next day, I woke up from a nightmare.

I know, it wasn't a dream. I saw the marks on my neck in the mirror, and the blood-stained envelope on the table.

Why am I so unlucky?

But I'm going to be alone.

After school at noon, I hurried to the fortune telling place. It wasn't very close to my house. I'm hungry, but life is the most important thing. I even brought all my pocket money with me.

But as soon as I got to the door, I was dumbfounded. The door to the dilapidated fortune-telling hut was closed. I knocked on the door, but no one answered. An enthusiastic aunt who passed by looked at my anxious appearance and said, "Are you looking for Master Du?" He recently went to a neighboring city. โ€

I hurriedly said thank you, turned around and walked to Xiluyuan.

Let me go to Xiluyuan to find a man named Zeng Ke. Xiluyuan is a well-known luxury community in our local area, and the people who live in it are either rich or expensive. All I have to do is give him the letter. The envelope also has a clear address written on it, as well as the name of the person who wrote the letter.

In those days, there were very few letter writers. Why didn't she send a text message, how convenient it was. Now I'm going to look for it.

Xiluyuan is very large, and it took a lot of effort to find the home of this person named Zeng Ke. I knocked on the door, and it took a long time for someone to answer.

The moment I opened the door, I almost petrified.

This man turned out to be the one who troubled the master last time. He didn't seem to recognize me, though. I saw him ask impatiently, "Is there something wrong?" โ€

I replied hesitantly, "Someone asked me to give you something." With that, I handed the letter over. When he saw the blood stains on the letter, his face suddenly turned terrified. I didn't care so much, I turned around and ran away.

After the evening self-study school, I started to worry again. I'm worried if she'll come to me tonight.

As I passed through Yujian Road, a gust of wind struck.

The moon is dark and the wind is high, and the dappled shadows of the trees sway on the cold streets.

I pulled up my collar and quickened my pace.

Occasionally, I could see a few ghosts aimlessly shuttling through the bustling streets. Even if a car drove towards them, they were safe.

I heard that people go to Elysium after death, but sometimes what makes them so insistent on staying in the world and wandering around?

"He didn't come." A cold voice sounded behind me.

It's a big deal, it's that female ghost! She's coming to me again.

"I've given him the letter." I turned my head and saw her sitting in a tree. The blood stains on her clothes looked like bewitching flowers.

"He didn't come." She muttered again. Suddenly, her eyes glowed green. Her hair instantly became very long. And those hairs seemed to be alive, wriggling and growing like a disgusting mass of long worms. Before I could run, the hair was already wrapped around my neck, and it was getting tighter and tighter.

I was strangled and suffocated. When my vision was blurred, I suddenly heard a wind chime.

The sound was like the ringing of a bell under the eaves of a temple.

The voice was getting closer and closer to us. Suddenly, the female ghost held her head and screamed heartbreakingly, and she fell from the tree to the ground. Her hair was also retracted.

I saw a dark shadow pass in front of me. He wore one of those hats with a black veil around his head, and I didn't see his appearance for a moment. Just for a moment, I felt like I smelled a fresh fragrance. It tasted like the one that came out of my house that night.

"Who are you?" The female ghost curled up on the ground asked.

"The one who took you away." There was not a hint of warmth in his voice. He had a bronze wind chime tied around his waist, which kept ringing.
