Chapter 8: Hell

When I came back with the little black cat in my arms, my mother was already asleep. The first thing I did when I came back was to bathe the kitten. The kitten is actually very obedient and does not make a sound. However, I could tell from its resentful little eyes that it was still reluctant.

When I used the hair dryer to blow it, it looked cute, didn't move, and was very obedient. I love looking into its eyes and feel a force that draws me to it. A long time ago, I wanted to get a pet or something, but I never had the chance. The little animals are fluffy and simply so cute.

When I was done, I found a blanket and made a small bed for Xiao Ye temporarily. Since today is Friday, I was going to relax and there was no homework. But when I looked at the time, it was already one o'clock in the morning. At this time, I was so sleepy that I couldn't open my eyes. I lay on the bed in a daze, and soon fell asleep.

Weekend mornings are a great time to get some sleep. But I was woken up by my mother's scream. I saw my mother open my door violently, still carrying Xiaoye in one hand, and asked, "Did you bring this cat back?" ”

I suddenly sobered up, got out of bed, and replied with some confidence: "Yes." I saw it last night when I came back from school. It's so small, it's pathetic on the outside. ”

The old mother was a little angry and said, "People say that the black cat is unlucky, you should send it away." ”

I didn't speak. But I really don't want to send it away. I hugged Xiao Ye from my mother's hand and begged, "Mom, for the sake of studying so hard now, let's keep the kitten." When is it now, and it's still so superstitious. Besides, how nice it is that cats can catch our mice! ”

Under my soft grinding and hard bubbles, my mother finally wavered. But she was afraid that Xiaoye would affect my studies, so we agreed on three chapters: my next monthly exam score can only go up and not down, otherwise I will send it away.

I've been doing my homework at home for almost a day, and I feel a little irritable, so in the evening, I take Xiaoye for a walk in the community. There is a small pavilion in the community, and there will always be some grandmothers and grandfathers in it. I'm usually not very curious about what they're talking about, but this time-

"You know what? There was a car accident there on Yujian Road last night. "There is an old man who said.

"Is there something wrong with people?" Several old men asked him worriedly.

"The driver ran away. After the person is taken to the hospital, it is too late. I heard that she was still a little girl. The old man looked sorry.

A group of people began to sympathize with the deceased.

Yujian Road is the only way for me to get home from school, and I guess the car accident there must have happened after I got home or when I was about to get home. Otherwise, I passed by there yesterday and there was nothing.

It was getting late, and before I knew it, I had been walking outside for almost an hour. I've been listening to them and I've lost track of time. I was worried that my mother would say that I wouldn't be home for so long, so I hurried home. Suddenly I heard what seemed to be someone calling me, but I didn't look back. I just felt like I was fluttering, like a ghost. Xiao Ye, who was originally very docile in my arms, suddenly broke free from my embrace.

I was a little sober and wanted to chase it, but Night's speed was too fast. I anxiously searched everywhere but couldn't find it. I have a feeling that it shouldn't come back. I returned home in disappointment. As soon as I entered the door, my mother asked curiously, "What about the cat?" ”

"Ran away." I replied weakly.

I thought my mother wouldn't care, but she comforted me: "Cats also know the way home, don't worry too much." Maybe it just wants to hang out. ”

I smiled helplessly, turned around and prepared to enter the room. My mother suddenly stopped me and said that she was going to dance in the square with her neighbor aunt now, and that she would see if she could find Xiaoye by the way. After speaking, the aunt next door was already knocking on the door. Mom hurried to open the door, and then went downstairs with Auntie. Before going downstairs, she also instructed me not to open the door when I was alone at home. I nodded, and locked the door.

As soon as I entered my bedroom, I smelled a strong smell of blood. I almost vomited from the smoke. Although it was very uncomfortable, I hurriedly searched for the source of the taste. But I searched all the rooms, but I found nothing. It's just that the smell is getting heavier and heavier. Suddenly, a gust of wind blew, causing me to shiver with cold. Somehow, my vision began to blur. I leaned against the wall and lay down in my chair with some difficulty.

But at this time, the smell of blood was gradually mixed with a familiar fragrance. My head was groggy and tired, and I had no strength to open my eyes again. It's just that, in a trance, I feel as if there is a tall figure in the room.

When I woke up, there was no smell in the room. I felt as if I had slept for a long time, but in reality, I had only slept for less than ten minutes. I felt a lot of pain in my head, so I looked for painkillers in my medicine cabinet at home. But after looking for a long time, I remembered that it had long been used up. There is a pharmacy opposite the gate of the complex, which is not very far. So, I'm going to go out on a trip.

When I arrived at the gate of the community, I suddenly saw a woman running quickly on the road. She was followed by a little girl, who also ran very fast, as if she was chasing the woman in front of her. The little girl was dressed in a delicate red dress, the red seemed to be like blood, and under the street lamp, she was like a rose blooming in the dark night.

I thought they were just mother-daughter relationships, but strangely, the woman looked behind her in horror as she ran, as if trying to get rid of the little girl. I wanted to go to the pharmacy, but I almost forgot to buy my medicine because I was so focused on watching them. I was just about to cross the street when suddenly, the little girl stopped.

I glanced at her. The light shone on her face, and it made her little face extremely gloomy. She gave me a weird smile and looked straight into my eyes. Before I could come to my senses, she vanished into thin air. I know I don't have yin and yang eyes, and I can't see ghosts. However, my instincts told me that the little girl was definitely not human. I remember Wang Ming said, I can't see ghosts. But what the hell was going on?

That's when I realized that I had been unlucky lately, and I was always exposed to something unclean.

I walked into the pharmacy, which I usually knew the people inside. Because this store has been open for some time. When I was a child, my mother often brought me here to buy pagoda candy to get rid of roundworms in my stomach. The owner turned out to be an old man with a goatee, but he died a few years ago. So, now the store is left to his son.

"Why are you out shopping so late?" Uncle Lin asked.

"Uh-huh. Suddenly my head hurts a little. Are there painkillers now? Is it the kind my mom used to buy? ”

"Yes. You wait, I'll find out. After speaking, Uncle Lin went to look for medicine.

I waited where I was, thinking about what had just happened.

"Xiaoxian, are you here?" Suddenly, I heard someone behind me shouting my name. I hurriedly turned around and saw an old man with a goatee sitting on a wicker chair.

It's Grandpa Lin. He hadn't changed at all, and his smile was still as kind as before.

"Grandpa Lin, you ......" I was so stunned that I was almost speechless.

At this time, Uncle Lin came out of it, took a box of painkillers, pointed at this and asked, "Is this it?" ”

I turned around, looking horrified. He seemed to sense that something was wrong with me and asked, "What's wrong?" ”

I quickly shook my head. I think I might have lost my eyes just now. But then I thought, no, that voice was real!

Uncle Lin thought I was strange, but he was too embarrassed to ask any more. I handed the money to Uncle Lin, and while he was looking for money, I also stole a glance at the rattan chair next to me, but it was empty, and there was no one.

I ran home.
