Chapter 1 Hearing the Wind Ringing at Night

Next Chapter

In the middle of the night, the wind chimes in front of the door were blown by gusts of wind.

"Ding Ding Dong ......"

I couldn't stand the noise, so I started fumbling in the dark and pressed the lamp button.

The room was instantly lit up by a warm yellow light. I rubbed my eyes and walked towards the door, ready to remove the wind chimes hanging from the door. But before I could open the door, the wind chimes suddenly stopped. The voice stopped abruptly to the point of being almost eerie. It's as if someone is outside controlling the wind chimes.

I immediately became alert and stood in front of the door. In the middle of the night, when I heard the wind chimes, I timidly opened the door. Because I was scared, I turned on the bedroom light as well. As soon as the door was opened, a swishing wind blew. Only then did I notice that there was a big gap in the sliding door of the balcony. I shuddered and stepped forward and closed the door.

I looked at the wind chimes on the door and thought to myself that the balcony door was closed anyway, so there would be no wind, so I didn't take it off. But just as I was putting the quilt on my body, the wind chimes began to ring strangely again.

I sensed that something wasn't right, but at the thought of having class tomorrow, I got up from bed impatiently. This time, I'm going to have to take it off.

Although I was a little scared in my heart, I felt irritated at the thought of not falling asleep. Listening to the crisp but now very disturbing wind chimes outside the door, I suddenly opened the door angrily.

But as soon as I opened the door, I was stunned.

The wind chimes hadn't moved at all, but the wind chimes were still ringing outside the door. I even felt that the voice was getting closer and closer to me. A chill suddenly rose from my heart, and I screamed and ran downstairs in a panic, ready to ask my mother for help. The wind chimes were getting louder and louder, and I was running faster and faster. Obviously the family is so big, why haven't I been to my parents' bedroom yet? I was so panicked that I didn't even notice that there was an unidentified object in front of me in the dark. I was running so fast that I didn't pay attention and crashed into it.

This collision made my eyes look like Venus, and I suddenly felt that the sky was dark. I didn't have time to think about what I had hit, and I was already asleep. I don't think it's because of the collision, but the strange smell in the air, which makes people feel that it smells so good, and it even seems to have a kind of hypnotic magic. The smell was strange, a faint, seemingly non-offensive fragrance.

In a daze, I seemed to hear a low sigh. Immediately afterward, I felt like I was being gently picked up. I didn't have the strength to struggle, but my previous fears dissipated. I felt like a warm current was running through my body. I tried to open my eyes, but in vain. I started to fall asleep completely.

Recently, I have been under a lot of pressure to study, and my sleep quality is not very good. But when I woke up the next day, I felt refreshed. It's like having a long dream and sleeping for a long time. But I don't remember the content of the dream very clearly. It seems to be related to wind chimes, but it seems to be related to a person.

Morning class morning reading.

"Xiaoxian, what's wrong with you today?" Li Wan, who was at the same table, waved her hand in front of my eyes.

That's when I woke up. "Maybe I didn't sleep last night......" I was about to say something, but was interrupted by the old class who suddenly walked into the classroom.

The old class in school is notoriously strict. Li Wan and I hurriedly lowered our heads and pretended to be very serious about reading. Not only the two of us, but also some other students who were chatting or napping in the morning immediately picked up the books and began to read. The class that originally read very quietly became several times louder in an instant after the head teacher came.

During this period, I secretly glanced at the podium, but found that the old class was talking, but the students were reading the textbook "seriously", and no one dared to raise their heads at all. Everyone reads with their voices open. The old class raised his voice halfway, but his voice was quickly drowned out by everyone's reading. Finally, the old class couldn't hold back anymore and knocked on the podium with a blackboard.

His classmates also began to put down their books and looked up at him with both worry and curiosity.
