Chapter 319: Bodhisattva Hall
When I landed, I raised my flashlight and took a closer look at my surroundings.
It is boxy and looks like a Buddhist temple, with a bright fire. There were torches on the walls every two or three meters, emitting a dull yellow glow with a faint green glow.
Just looking at the color of the flame, I knew that the fuel used in the torch must be extraordinary, and it should be fish oil made from the mermaids of the East China Sea.
It is said that the East China Sea shark human silver, bone and sebum contain a special phosphorus powder, and the fish oil refined from it can be burned for 10,000 years without extinguishing, and is also known as the "everlasting lamp".
However, mermaid oil has always been precious and rare, and there are one or twenty torches in this hall, so it can be seen that the owner of this tomb is either a rich and noble person, or a person of high Guan Houlu.
Beneath his feet were rectangular stone slabs, one after the other, which were cleaned and spotlessly clean.
My place of residence was the center of the Buddha hall, which was empty, but at the four corners of the main hall, there were four statues of the golden bodhisattvas with their backs to the wall and facing the center, which was where I was.
The rays of sunlight that I saw in mid-air came from these statues.
Prick up your ears and listen, the surroundings were quiet, there was not a single sound, not even the sound of torches burning the air, the silence was terrifying.
Seeing that there was no danger in the Buddha hall, I shook the rope ladder and told the fat man that he could come down. There was also a shaking above the rope ladder, and it looked like the fat man had received the signal and began to climb down.
Remembering that the ancient well was written on the body of the previous "Bodhisattva Palace", looking at it, the four statues in this corner are also Bodhisattva statues. I put away my flashlight and stepped forward to take a closer look.
As one of the three major sects in the world, Buddhism has a large number of believers around the world. Primitive Buddhism was founded in ancient India in the fifth century BC and began to gradually become popular, and eventually introduced to China.
However, there are many schools of modern Buddhism, and the Buddhism that flows into China alone is divided into large and small schools, and in the subdivision, there are different schools such as the Southern Tradition, the Han Tradition, the Tibetan Tradition, and the Uighur Tradition, and their teachings are also different. After thousands of years of evolution, Chinese Buddhism has become a school of its own.
In primitive Buddhism, there was an essential difference between a Buddha and a bodhisattva.
The Sanskrit word for Buddha is "Buddha", which means ordained monk. It not only represents Shakyamuni, the founder of Buddhism, but also the name of a person who has attained perfection in his practice.
And Bodhisattva is the abbreviation of Sanskrit "Bodhisattva", also as: Bodhisattva, Maodi Satva. It is the meaning of Taoist sentient beings and practice at home, that is, the folk often say "lay disciples", which cannot be compared with the Buddha.
However, the status of the Bodhisattva in Buddhism in our country, especially in folk Buddhism, is extremely lofty, and even more of them are in the limelight than the patriarch Shakyamuni, and are worshiped by the believers.
The golden-bodied Bodhisattva statues in the four corners of this temple represent the four Bodhisattvas of wisdom, compassion, action, and wish.
They are Manjushri Bodhisattva, known as the "Golden Five Platforms"; The dojo is located in Putuo Mountain, and there is the Guanyin Bodhisattva known as "Silver Putuo"; "Tong Emei" of the Fuxian Bodhisattva; and the Jizo Bodhisattva of "Iron Jiuhua".
The Ming Dynasty's "Putuo Mountain Chronicles" wrote: "The Buddhist scriptures call the Buddha dojos of Tibet, Manjushri, Fuxian, and Guanyin, and it is said that the earth, fire, water, and wind are the four major gatherings, Jiuhua, and the earth; Emei, fire also; Wutai, the wind also; Putuo, water also. ”
Look closely at this Manjushri Bodhisattva, it is the body of a pure face of a dragon. He wears a five-haired crown on his head, holds a long-handled Ruyi in his left hand, holds a vajra sword in his right hand, his face is like a disc, his face is like a beautiful jade, he is free and worry-free, natural and quiet.
He sits on the white lotus platform, and his crotch scares the mount as a smiling lion-headed fairy, shaking his head and shaking his head, and he is very comfortable, which is a symbol of "wise man".
The Guanyin Bodhisattva on the side, also known as "Guanyin". This son is a boy and a girl, his eyes are slightly closed, and he has a slightly sad color. It has thousands of hands and thousands of eyes, and each hand has a magic weapon or mudra, which is all-encompassing.
In the middle of a pair of left and right hands put on the dantian, palm upward, holding a net bottle, inserting fresh willow branches, Linlang Ganlu dotted, meaning "Hengshun wishes, Pudu sentient beings".
Guanyin's body is scared of no lotus, and the mount is a canine-like horse, a scaly hyena, and a golden retriever with dragon horns on his head. It is recorded in the "Narrative of Differences" that it eats dragon's brain, soars up and down in the air, is fierce and abnormal, and has several feet of fire in its mouth.
Also quiet and moving, great mercy and compassion.
On the other side sit Fugen Bodhisattva and Jizo Bodhisattva.
Fuxian Bodhisattva hangs his shoulders with both ears, his face is like autumn water, one hand is suspended in the air, and the other hand pinches the mantra on his chest. He sits on the lotus platform carried by a giant elephant with six tusks, not angry and self-assured, how can the word "virtue" be expressed.
Jizo Bodhisattva is wearing a robe, wearing a Pilu crown on his head, holding a tin staff in one hand and a lotus flower in the other, with a pious expression and slightly open lips, as if chanting. The crotch scare mount is the truth of the swarm of beasts.
It has a tiger head, a single horn, dog ears, a dragon body, a lion tail, a unicorn foot, turning its head to look back, like a lover of the world, for the "willingness" incarnation.
The four Bodhisattva statues in the main hall have exquisite lines, treacherous axes, and the whole body is shining with golden light, which is obviously made of pure gold, which is beautiful and incomprehensible.
There is no incense burner here, but I don't know if it's my delusion, but the smell of fire in the air is very great, as if smoke is not smoke, which makes people feel a sense of foreboding out of thin air.
As everyone descended through the rope ladder one after another, they were all amazed by the four Bodhisattva statues.
I glared at the fat man, He Xiaoqi, and Xiao Jun, suggesting that they were unusual here, so be careful. The three of them understood, and stood silently behind me, carefully guarded.
Looking around, this hall is just a boxy space, surrounded by heavy stone walls, and there is no exit, I don't know if there are any hidden mechanisms and secret passages.
Ma Leizi came down after the four of us, and before the others landed, they looked at the four pure gold Bodhisattva statues and began to glow green.
Before he could stand firm, he ran and climbed to one of them, knocking and touching them one by one, and shouting: "I'm rough, pure gold!" Tema's fortune! Ha ha...... Got rich......"
He was bubbling with snot and his eyes were green. Because of the excitement, the facial features on his face began to distort, and he looked like he was enchanted.
Each of the four Bodhisattva statues and the crotch-frightened mounts were more than two meters tall, and the five short figures of Ma Leizi looked unusually small in front of them, in stark contrast to their crazy demeanor.
The rats and compression clothes that came down in the end were obviously also shocked by these four Bodhisattva statues, but they were obviously calmer than Ma Leizi.
Compressing Yi Nunu's mouth, the mouse walked up, pulled out a knife from the back of the waist, and slashed on a Bodhisattva statue, twisting the gold dust on the blade, and the voice could not hide the excitement.
"Pure gold!"
In fact, needless to say, they are a group of tomb robbers, and even the people I am here to save people are incredible. These bodhisattva statues weigh two tons each, a full eight tons of gold, which is an astronomical amount.
Suddenly, I saw that Ma Leizi was holding and kissing wildly, the statue of Guanyin Bodhisattva with great compassion seemed to move secretly......
