Representatives of the town's businesses and organisations were summoned together in the DW building, where the Ministry of Internal Affairs explained the details of the evacuation to them.

A lot of people find it hard to believe. Some of the children even jumped up excitedly, and despite the militiamen's repeated persuasions, some people still came downstairs in advance to talk to their neighbors, and some women even wore only light pajamas and did not even bring their passbooks, because the radio said that as long as the doors and windows were locked, the militia would help them watch over the contents of the house to make sure that no thieves would enter.

And when the time came, the buses drove in one by one; Pripyat, parked under different residential buildings, the militia kept urging people to speed up, and there were several small disturbances, but they were quickly quelled, and then the car started again, carrying a carload full of people into the unknown distance.

Behind the car, there are many cats and dogs, who seem to be aware of their fate of being abandoned by their owners, running behind and barking, and even trying to force themselves into the car, but they are unsuccessful. Although some owners opened the windows despite the dissuasion, they could only look at their pets with tears, shouting their names and saying goodbye to them, because the government has a ban, these pets cannot leave with their owners.

Eventually, the cats and dogs got tired of running and could only stand on the side of the road, watching their owners go away, their eyes full of sadness.
