Chapter 10: Grandma's Amazing Experience

My grandmother's name was Ying'e, and she was born into a prominent family of eunuchs, and her father was a local official. My grandmother is considered to be a famous family, and everyone is beautiful! She has been reading poetry and books since she was a child, and she is proficient in piano, chess, calligraphy and painting. Because of her father's official position, her family has a collection of all kinds of books and picture albums, documents on local customs and customs, and so on. So when I was young, my grandmother was already rich and rich, and she was a well-known local talent.

My grandmother was particularly interested in studying local customs and cultures. On one occasion, her father brought back a travel album, drawn by a foreigner, describing the customs and customs of the various places he passed through on his trip to China. Among them, a special Tibetan Buddhist college attracted her attention.

The Buddhist institute in the album is spectacular, with dense red houses connected together to form a sea of red, which spreads throughout the valley. The red houses are like red waves blooming in the valley, dazzling in the bright sunshine.

The red houses of the valley are clustered around a splendid palace in the center, which is a Buddhist college. Countless devout people prayed here, and countless lamas dressed in red traveled here. It is as if you can hear the bursts of chanting coming from the prayer hall, as if you can smell the smell of incense wafting from the prayer hall, as if you can see the pious hearts of those who prostrate.

Ying'e was deeply attracted by this scene, how she wished she could be in it and feel the shocking red color for herself!

She proposed her idea to her father, she wanted to go out and see the outside world, to see that magical place. She looked forward to it day and night, thinking about it night and night, and the patches of red always appeared in her dreams from time to time, like a magic force, constantly calling her, calling her softly.

Her idea was strongly opposed by her father and the whole family, and a boudoir girl wanted to travel far away to that barbarian land, and spread it out to become a system!

Her father did not want to listen to her pleas anymore, let alone let outsiders know about her ridiculous ideas, so he imprisoned her. But Ying'e is such a strong girl, once she decides something, ten cows can't pull it back. What's more, that red world is like a living elf, calling her all the time. She found an opportunity and escaped.

Before leaving, she left a letter for her father, which read: "Father, forgive your daughter for being unfilial and against your will. I only want to fulfill the dream in my heart, but I am worried, and he will return one day.

In this way, Ying'e left, alone, with the picture album and a few books, and embarked on her journey, towards the distance in the dream.

Along the way, the wind, frost, snow and rain, experienced hardships, although there were many difficulties, but the novelty of what she saw and heard had already made her forget the difficulties and dangers, the Tibetan culture full of mysterious charm became her spiritual guidance, those who kowtowed along the way gave her faith, and accompanied her all the way to the red ocean.

When she arrived, Ying'e was stunned by the sight in front of her, surrounded by these red waves, and enjoyed the red sea to the fullest. With her eyes closed, breathing in the fragrance of the incense, and letting the chanting linger in her ears, she let go of all the distractions in her heart, the world became quiet, and the hardships and fatigue she had come along the way also dissipated.

After a short rest, Ying'e climbed up the stairs next to the red houses to the temple at the top of the mountain. The temple is majestic and splendid, and countless devout devotees worship here, they put their hands together, hold them high above their heads, and then go to their hearts, and then their whole bodies lie on the ground, kowtow, and then stand up and repeat the same action countless times. On the way here, Ying'e has seen many worshippers, kowtowing all the way. It was only in front of this solemn temple that she truly felt the power of this faith. She couldn't help but fold her hands together, raised them above her head, and when she reached her heart, the whole person lay on the place and kowtowed. Ying'e never believed in Buddhism before, but now she doesn't know why she can't help but kowtow, as if there is a powerful force driving her heart.

Ying'e admired this unique beauty alone and was reluctant to leave for a long time. Seeing that it was getting dark, Ying'e decided to find a family here to spend the night.

She tentatively knocked on the doors of several homes. The door opened, but no one else could understand what she was saying, and even though she was gesturing and gesturing her hands, others kept shaking their heads at her.

Ying'e felt a little overwhelmed, and she began to worry, if she couldn't find someone to stay at home after dark, then what would she do in this cold night!

Ying'e sat on the side of the road, at a loss. She didn't know where to go next, or if she should keep trying to knock on the doors of those who might still reject her.

While she was worried, a young lama passed by her with a bucket of water. He looked to be the same age as her, with an incomparably handsome face, with a well-defined face, thick eyebrows and big eyes, but there was a greenness between the eyebrows, and the red face caused by the plateau red made him look more and more immature and shy.

Ying'e was immediately fascinated by this face, she looked at him oncoming and refused to take her eyes off his face. At this time, the young lama also noticed her, and her eyes were like flames about to erupt, which made the little lama's cheeks feel hot for a while. He stole a glance at her face, then hurriedly looked away, his heart beat hard, countless fawns were bumping in his heart, and he quickened his pace of walking.

"Little master, please wait!" Seeing that the little lama quickened his pace and walked forward, Ying'e hurriedly stopped him.

"You, what's the matter?" The little lama asked shyly.

"Do you speak Chinese?" Hearing the little lama ask this, Ying'e suddenly became happy, this little master can actually speak Chinese, it seems that there is hope.

"Well, somewhat. Is there anything you can do? ”

"Excuse me, little master, is there a place nearby where I can stay overnight?"

"Is it here? Not here, these are the houses of the locals. If you want to find a place to live, you have to go to the bazaar to find it. ”

"Where's the bazaar? Far from this? ”

"It's a long way, it's going to take two hours."

Ying'e looked at the sky at this time, and there was no light in the sky. It would be unrealistic to set off for the market at this time. She asked the little master again:

"Excuse me, little master, do you live here?"

"Yes, that's where I live." The little lama pointed to her.

Ying'e followed the little lama's finger and looked at it, it was a small red wooden house that was quite delicate. Although it generally looks like the surrounding mahogany houses, the wood on the exterior wall of this house has a painting of a white tower, which makes this small house stand out in a patch of red.

"I ...... Can I spend the night at your house tonight? …… I knew it might not be a good fit, but I couldn't find a place to stay. ......" Ying'e asked the little lama tentatively and in a low voice. She lowered her head, not daring to look up at the little lama's eyes.

"However, you are a girl, so this is not appropriate." The little lama was shy and quickly rejected her.

"It's okay, I can sleep on the floor or in a corner, as long as I have a shelter from the wind and rain." Ying'e, who couldn't find accommodation, just hoped to have a place to stay at this time, which was already very good.

"But ......"

"Please, take me in for the night, I really have nowhere to go." Ying'e was so afraid that the little lama would really reject her, so she could only sleep on the side of the road in the cold night.

"That'...... Okay...... come with me! The little lama hesitated again and again, but looking at her pitiful appearance, he could not bear to let her sleep outside, and finally agreed to her request.

Ying'e followed the little lama to the chic room.

The stove in the house was burning, and Ying'e felt warm when she came in, and she thought to herself, it was great to have such a place to stay, and Ying'e suddenly felt happy when she thought of the cold in the night.

"You stay here for the night! This room has a carbon fire and will sleep warmly. The little lama said to her.

"Okay, thank you!" Ying'e was really grateful, but she suddenly remembered and asked, "But, where do you live?" ”

"I live next door."

Ying'e looked at the next room, there was no bed, no charcoal fire, cold.

"But there's nothing next door, how can you sleep?"

"It's okay, I can sleep on the ground against the wall."

"Then what's going on, there's no charcoal fire in that room, how cold it is at night!"

"It's okay, the night will pass soon, I'll fall asleep while reading a book."

"Do you like to read?" Hearing the little lama say to read, Ying'e suddenly became interested

"Yes, I watch it every night before I go to bed."

Only then did Ying'e realize that the house was very simple, with only a bed, a stove, and a table full of books.

"Are these scriptures?" Ying'e asked, pointing to the book on the table.

"Some are scriptures, some are not."

"Not the scriptures? What is that? ”

"There are all kinds of books." The little lama replied. Then he said:

"You can rest for a while, and I'll go fetch some water and come back."

After saying that, the little lama went out again with the bucket.

Ying'e was bored alone in the room, and she flipped through the books on the table.

A book of poems caught her eye. She flipped the first page and couldn't stop.

This name, Cangyang Gyatso, was deeply imprinted in Ying'e's mind for the first time. His loving love poems are like a delicious and sweet cup of tea that people can't help but savor over and over again. Ying'e was deeply attracted by these affectionate words, and she was intoxicated by the poems and couldn't extricate herself. Every word written by this romantic and amorous man fascinated her so much that she didn't even notice the little lama when he returned.

"Do you also like Cangyang Gyatso's verses?" The little lama asked.

Ying'e was taken aback by this sudden inquiry, and then came back to her senses.

"It was the first time I knew this man, and the first time I read his poems."

"He was the most controversial and talented lama in history." The little lama said.

"Do you know him?" Ying'e asked.

"Yes, I don't know, but I can read him, from his words."

"Just like me now? I also think I understand him. ”

"Yes, every time I read his poems, I am as fascinated as you are now."

"Can you tell me about his story and his poems?

"Absolutely, if you like."

The little lama read Cangyang Gyatso's poems to Ying'e, and Ying'e listened carefully, and the affectionate language and melancholy eyes actually gave Ying'e a hint of illusion, as if Cangyang Gyatso was standing in front of her......

The little lama told Ying'e the story of Cangyang Gyatso and Maggie Ami, and he gazed at Ying'e affectionately, just as Cangyang Gyatso gazed at Maggie Ami affectionately, and the two of them regarded themselves as the protagonists of the story, feeling the deep affection told in these words in mutual understanding and admiration.

This night, they read poems together and discussed together. The carbon fire in the furnace changed batch after batch, and before I knew it, it was already dawn.

"I didn't expect time to pass so quickly." The little lama said.

"yes." Ying'e replied.

"Are you leaving?" The little lama asked again.

"Yes."

"I don't know your name yet!" The little lama looked at the girl who had read poetry with him all night, and he was a little reluctant.

"My name is Ying'e, what about you?"

"My name is Phuntsok."

"Thank you Phuntsok, goodbye!"

Ying'e got up and prepared to leave, but she couldn't move. Suddenly she felt a sour nose, and she couldn't help but feel sad.

"You...... Is it possible to stay another day? Phuntsok asked, bowing his head as he spoke.

"Huh? ……”

"Don't get me wrong, I don't mean anything else. If you don't mind, I'd like to take you to a place in the evening, I think you'll love it. ”

"Where?"

"Can I stop saying it now? I want to surprise you. Phuntsok's face was as red as an apple.

Ying'e didn't ask anymore, she turned around and put down the package. I was happy in my heart, it wasn't that I didn't leave, it was you who asked me to stay, because you wanted to surprise me and I stayed, but it wasn't for any other reason, Ying'e persuaded herself in her heart to find a reason for herself to stay.

"I'm going to study and do my homework, you can stay here and read a book or walk around by yourself, and I'll pick you up in the evening."

After Phuntsok finished speaking, he took a few scriptures and went to the Buddhist college, leaving the lonely Ying'e alone.

Ying'e decided to take a good look at the book here, since she escaped from the house, she has not read a book in a good and quiet place for a long time.

In addition to a stack of scriptures, there are also poetry collections, picture albums, flowers, and so on. And Phuntsok said that this is only a small part, Ying'e boasts that she has read poetry and books since she was a child, but she feels that Phuntsok's knowledge is not below her, and even on par with her. She couldn't help but be amazed, she didn't expect to meet such a learned person here, but it was a pity that he became a lama instead of a great official!

Ying'e felt that the time of the day was short and long, the short was that she was completely fascinated by the reading of the book, and she could hardly feel the wandering of time, and the long thing was that whenever she stopped, she always looked out of the room from time to time, as if she was looking forward to someone.

Ying'e didn't know what was wrong with her, but she had a trace of affection for the lama she had just met. Isn't this sentiment a worship? Or pity? Or is it an expectation?

Worship is his knowledge, when she is with him, Ying'e feels that she has met a bosom friend, she thinks he understands, she also understands his heart, they can communicate with each other from ancient times to the present, from Tiannan to Haibei, from the weather to food, from children to the elderly, from poverty to wealth, from laughter to sadness, this has never happened in Ying'e's previous life, such a person has never met her, she has a respect and respect for Phuntsok.

But she had pity on him, and pitied him for being just a poor lama, who had a lot of talent and knowledge but couldn't show his strength, couldn't be a big official, couldn't enjoy the glory and wealth, couldn't enjoy the delicacies of the mountains and seas, couldn't see the prosperity of the world, and could only succumb to live here, in this place where the weather was bad and the conditions were extremely difficult, he hid his talent and became an ordinary lama.

But she is full of expectations for him, what kind of expectations is this? Looking forward to him coming out of here to see the wind and snow outside, or looking forward to the day when he can rise to the top? No, it turned out that she just wanted to stay quietly by his side, listen to him read her poems by Cangyang Gyatso, and tell her stories that she had never heard.

Ying'e spent the day in torment and anticipation. It was dusk, and Phuntsok must be coming back soon, thinking that she had walked out of the house, wanting to quietly greet the figure she was looking forward to!

At this time, the sun is setting, the afterglow of the setting sun is like a crystal pearl scattered all over the earth, and the beautiful red house is reflected more vividly and dazzlingly in this red sunset, which is a color full of life. The sun was beating, like a mischievous elf, shining on her cheeks.

She stood in the sunset, letting the afterglow of the setting sun shine on her eyes, she half-squinted her eyes, a slight smile on the corner of her mouth, and enjoyed this wonderful time to the fullest. This scene is like a beautiful picture, and she is the most beautiful person in the picture.

Phuntsok came back and saw the beauty standing in the sunset from afar. He was stunned for a while, and he was fascinated by it, she was so beautiful, more beautiful than the Tibetan goddess of lust, and even more beautiful than the fairies in the sky! Phuntsok was reluctant to look away, and he looked at her quietly, as if he had seen his own Maggie Ami.

Ying'e opened her eyes and turned her head to see Phuntsok not far away, she waved at him happily and shouted:

"Hi Phuntsok, I'm here!"

Phuntsok was shouted by her like this, so he came back to his senses and hurriedly walked towards Ying'e.

"Why did you just come back, the sun is almost setting!" Ying'e actually had a hint of coquettish complaints.

"Yes, we're going to study the scriptures every day until this time."

"It's so beautiful here, especially at this time, the sun is warm and soft." Ying'e said, half-squinting her eyes again and enjoying the sunshine.

"Yes, it's always been so beautiful!"

"By the way, didn't you say you were going to take me somewhere?" Ying'e was afraid that Phuntsok had forgotten their agreement, and began to remind him.

"Hmm!" Phuntsok nodded.

"Where?"

"You'll know when you go."

"Then let's go now!"

Ying'e couldn't wait, she didn't know where Phuntsok was going to take her, and she was full of curiosity about the place that Phuntsok said she would definitely like.

Phuntsok took Ying'e to the back mountain of the valley and said to Ying'e, "We go up from here, and when we reach the mountain, you will be able to see." ”

Ying'e followed Phuntsok together, and the two walked to the top of the mountain.

Along the way, the mountains are filled with colorful wildflowers. There are red, yellow, blue, white, pink, large, small, round, fan-shaped, fragrant, fragrant, elegant, blooming, budding, high out of the grass, hidden in the green leaves of the meadow, scattered, intertwined, like a huge carpet of flowers, covering the whole valley.

A gentle breeze blows, and the rich floral fragrance is mixed with the freshness of the earth. In the distance, a group of yaks are leisurely gnawing on the grass on the ground, and an uncle who seems to be the owner of the yak next to him is kowtowing and worshipping, everything is so beautiful and harmonious.

Ying'e saw such a scene for the first time in her life, and couldn't help but sigh:

"This place is so beautiful!"

The sun is setting little by little, and the afterglow is slowly dissipating. Ying'e and Phuntsok talked and laughed all the way, but Ying'e didn't feel the hard work of climbing the mountain, and they finally reached the top of the mountain before the last glimmer of light disappeared.

"This is it!" Phuntsok took Ying'e to a large rock, motioned for her to sit down, and then said to her, "Turn around and look down!" ”

Ying'e turned around and looked towards the valley, she was stunned by this scene! Her eyes widened, her mouth wide open, and she lost her mind for a while, and after a long time she finally came to her senses, and couldn't help shouting:

"Oh my God, this is incredible!"

At this time, the valley is no longer the appearance of daylight, but starlight, countless dense candlelight from the red house, decorating the whole valley into a hazy red, like a red light veil, looming, if it is about to leave.

The red light danced, like an elf that could not be caught, shuttling back and forth in the red house. They are more mischievous and adorable than the stars in the sky, and they turn the valley at night into a dance arena for elves.

This valley comes alive at night, full of the light of life, the beating of the soul!

"Phuntsok, this is so beautiful, more beautiful than the stars in the sky! Even more beautiful than the brilliant fireworks! I've never seen such a beautiful place! Ying'e said excitedly.

She couldn't find the words to describe the beautiful night.

"I said you'd love it here."

"Yes, I've fallen in love with this place, and I don't want to leave."

At this time, Ying'e really didn't want to leave, because this was the most beautiful scenery she had ever seen in the world!

"Come, Phuntsok, sit next to me, and let's enjoy this beautiful night together!" Ying'e said to Phuntso, who was standing next to her.

Phuntsok was a little embarrassed, but sat down next to Ying'e.

The two of them sat side by side, without speaking, and the night was so quiet that they could hear each other's breathing.

"Phuntsok, do you come here often?" Ying'e broke the awkward silence first.

"Yes, since I've been here to study, I've often come here alone, and I love the nights in the valley."

"You're here to study? Aren't you from here? Isn't that house yours? Ying'e asked in surprise.

"It's not mine, it's someone else's lease to me, I'm not from here, I'm going to go back to where I came from after I finish studying."

"Will you come back then?"

"I only come here once in twelve years."

"Then if you leave this time, you will come here again in ten years?"

"Yes."

Ying'e didn't expect that Phuntsok was not from here, and he would leave after studying. So where is his home?

Ying'e asked again, "Where are you from?" Where is your home? ”

"My home is in a very far away place, but it is beautiful, with snow-capped mountains, lakes, meadows, cattle and sheep, and it is as beautiful as here." Phuntsok said, his eyes full of warmth, as if he had seen his distant home.

"Is it also a Tibetan village?"

"Yes."

"I'd love to see it! I saw that the Tibetan villages depicted in the book were beautiful and mysterious. It's a pity that I haven't really walked into a Tibetan village to see it. Ying'e is full of yearning for the beautiful Tibetan village that Phuntsok is talking about.

"Do you want to see a Tibetan village? I can take you there if you want to go, and there is a village in front of this valley. Phuntsok looked at Young'e's expectant expression, and he wanted to help her achieve her dream.

"Really? That's great! You must take me to see it. Ying'e shouted happily.

She looked at Phuntsok with a look of gratitude and love in her eyes.

It didn't take long for Phuntsok to bring Ying'e to the village.

The sky here is particularly blue, a few white and flawless clouds floating in the air, against the blue sky, like marshmallows hanging in the sky, very attractive! Below the blue sky is a low hillside, under the hillside is a wide meadow, the wild flowers everywhere decorate the land colorfully, yaks sway leisurely in the meadow, a small river that is not wide meanders in the middle of the meadow, the blue sky is reflected in the pure river water, the river is also reflected in the blue, the river flows softly, like a blue ribbon dancing in the grass.

Ying'e ran happily on the grass, she was so happy that she couldn't suppress her joy! But she was distressed, afraid that she would step on those beautiful flowers. She simply lay down, put her hands on her head, closed her eyes and enjoyed the comfort, and before she knew it, she actually fell asleep.

Ying'e had a sweet dream that she was surrounded by flowers, and the air was filled with the intoxicating fragrance of flowers, which made her intoxicated! Suddenly, she felt a strong scent of flowers hit her nose, and she opened her eyes lazily, and Phuntsok was holding a handful of wildflowers in front of Ying'e's nose.

"Is it fragrant?" Phuntsok asked.

"Incense." Ying'e nodded.

"Do you like it?"

"I like it."

"For you!" Phuntsok happily handed the flower in his hand to Ying'e.

"It's beautiful, but if you pick them up, they're lifeless." Ying'e sighed.

"Beautiful flowers bloom for beautiful people, you are beautiful people, they bloom for you." Phuntsok said.

A warm current suddenly surged in Ying'e's heart, and she looked at Phuntsok's gentle eyes, which were a kind of loving eyes, and she couldn't help but pound her heart!

"Don't move!" Phuntsok said softly to Ying'e.

As he spoke, he took out a small light blue flower and gently inserted it into the hair next to Ying'e's ear, he looked into Ying'e's eyes and said, "You are so beautiful!" ”

Ying'e didn't know how to answer for a while. She glanced at Phuntsok, and she could feel that it was love, the love that was written in Cangyang Gyatso's poem.

She was at a loss, and her heart was beating faster when she looked at Phuntsok, and she hurriedly lowered her head to straighten her clothes and leave the eyes that had made her flustered.

They walked along the grassy path, dotted with small Tibetan huts. They stopped in front of a log cabin.

In front of the hut is an open courtyard, the ground is made of a lot of red stones to build a high mani pile, on the top of the mani pile is placed a small white pagoda, a few hatas are wrapped around the white pagoda and the stone pile, a middle-aged man holding a Buddhist bead in his hand, is reciting scriptures over and over again around the mani pile.

An old man was leaning against a big tree at the edge of the courtyard, laughing with the children playing next to him, several children were chasing and playing, and the laughter like silver bells echoed in the small courtyard.

Wisps of smoke wafted from the roof of the hut, and it must have been the mistress of the house preparing a delicious meal for her family!

"What a warm scene!" Ying'e sighed, "I hope I will have such a lovely child and such a warm home in the future!" ”

Phuntsok didn't know how to answer, but replied, "You will!" ”

During this time, Ying'e had become accustomed to falling asleep listening to Phuntsok read poems to her every night, and to waking up in the morning to the sound of Phuntsok's chanting. She seemed to have lost the urge to go home, she knew that Phuntsok had only been here for a year, and now that there were only three months left, she just wanted to spend as much time as possible with this important person who appeared in her life.

Happy times are always short-lived, and before you know it, the day has come when Phuntsok is about to leave. Ying'e couldn't help but feel a little sad in her heart, she suddenly didn't want to be separated from this man!

In two days, Phuntsok was leaving, and the two were about to separate. That night, they came to the top of the valley again, sat on the big rock, and snuggled together and looked at the red stars in the valley.

"Phuntsok, will you miss this beautiful night?" Thinking that Phuntsok was about to leave, Ying'e's heart was full of sadness.

"Yes." Phuntsok also had a lot of reluctance in his heart.

"Let's take a closer look at this place, we may not see it again." Ying'e said absentmindedly, she seemed to have something to say, but she stopped talking.

After a while, she asked again, "Then will you miss me?" ”

Phuntsok was silent for a while and said, "Yes." ”

Then he added, "Forever." ”

Ying'e looked at Phuntsok and said, "Then can you not leave?" ”

Phuntsok was silent again, and after a while, he said, "No. ”

Phuntso's answer disappointed Young'e, and she angrily asked, "Why?" ”

Phuntsok was silent and did not speak.

Ying'e said again: "You can go back with me, we can find someone to do anything you have to do." Moreover, I can find you a good job that will allow you to bring out all your talents and you will become a promising person, not just an ordinary lama. ”

"That's your world, your life. I can't. Phuntsok looked at Ying'e and said.

"Why not?"

"Because I don't belong here, I'm going back to where I came from, to finish my unfinished mission."

"What mission?"

"I can't tell you, but that's what I'm going to protect for the rest of my life."

"It's all now, do you have any secrets that you can't tell me?" Ying'e asked Phuntsok.

But Phuntsok was silent and did not answer.

Ying'e had no choice but to say again: "Then you can always tell me where you are going, where you are going back." ”

"That place is a place you'll never know."

"What the hell is that place?" Ying'e asked.

Phuntsok fell silent again.

"Well, I don't care what that place is, you take me with you, go to the place you said!" Ying'e didn't want to ask any more, she had already made the biggest concession.

"I can't take you there, because outsiders can't go to that place, and if you go, then you won't be able to come out again for the rest of your life."

"Why? What secrets are you hiding from me? Why can't you take me there? ”

"I can't tell you."

"Does that mean we're going to be separated?"

"Yes." Phuntsok replied.

Ying'e didn't want to ask any more, she lowered her head, and the man in front of her seemed very strange.

Phuntsok patted her on the shoulder and said, "Here's for you." ”

Ying'e looked up, and he saw Phuntsok remove the piece of jade from his neck that he wore every day.

Phuntsok once told Ying'e that this was the most important thing in his life, as important as his life.

"Didn't you say that this is the most important thing for you? Why give it to me? Ying'e asked.

"Because, you are my most important person, the same as it, the same as my life." Phuntsok looked at Ying'e, his eyes full of guilt.

"But why did you leave me?" Ying'e asked Phuntsok crying, her voice trembling.

"Don't leave me, okay?" Ying'e took the jade and prayed in a low voice.

Phuntsok couldn't hold back any longer, hugged Ying'e tightly to his chest, and said three words for a while:

"I'm sorry."

When Ying'e heard these three words, her heart had collapsed, and her tears couldn't stop flowing. She knew that Phuntsok had already made up her mind, and no matter how much she tried to redeem it, she still couldn't keep him. She hugged Phuntsok tightly for a long time, and the two of them hugged each other like this.

Then, Ying'e let go of her hand, broke free from Phuntsok's arms, and ran down the hill crying without looking back.

This night, the two were destined to have no sleep.

Ying'e was still alone in the room with the fire, and Phuntsok was still alone in the corner of the outhouse, wrapped in a quilt. It's just that every night in the past, Phuntsok would read poems to Ying'e, and until Ying'e fell asleep listening to it, Phuntsok would get up and leave. But tonight, he didn't read her any more poems, and the room was empty, and without Phuntsok's voice, it was eerily quiet.

At this time, Phuntsok in the outhouse was even more distraught and restless, and he could only keep reciting scriptures in an attempt to calm his mind.

However, after all, he could not be at peace, his mind was blank, and he forgot even the scriptures that he was familiar with. His mind kept flashing through Ying'e's face, and the bits and pieces of these days together kept coming to his mind, lingering, he stopped reading the scriptures, he stopped.

Phuntsok came to Ying'e's side, Ying'e was sobbing quietly at this time, Phuntsok saw the familiar face, at this time his face was full of tears, Ying'e had already cried into a tearful person.

Phuntsok was distressed, he wiped away Ying'e's tears with both hands, and then hugged her tightly in his arms.

Neither of them spoke, their minds colliding rapidly, and they could feel each other's breath and heartbeat.

"I don't want to hide it from you anymore, shall I tell you everything?" Phuntsok finally couldn't take it anymore and decided to tell Young-e everything.

I came from an ancient Tibetan village, which was unusually beautiful, like a fairyland, but completely isolated, lonely and mysterious. People outside don't know that there is still this place in the world, and people inside don't know that there is such a vast world outside. For hundreds of years, the village has been unknown to the world. The villagers inside thought that it was their whole world, and they didn't know that there was a road to the outside world, because this only passage was known to only one person, and that was the living Buddhas in the temples inside, and no one knew about it except for the living*.

Once a year, there is a one-month retreat, and the villagers and the lamas at the temple know that the retreat has gone, but they don't know where the retreat has gone. And this time is the time to live* out and learn from the outside world, just like I am now. We would come out and learn the words, the language, the sutras, and so on, and then we would go back and teach the people inside what we had learned.

You must wonder why there is a way to the outside world but not let the people inside know. Why not let the people inside come out and let the people outside in?

Because that place can't be discovered. The villagers there have been guarding it for generations, and the ancestral teachings passed down from their ancestors are that they cannot leave that place for the rest of their lives. And they thought that there was no road to the outside world in that place. Because their mission is to protect the biggest secret inside, the water source of Jiuzhaigou. If the water source is damaged, then all the lakes in Jiuzhai will dry up, and this fairyland on earth will no longer exist.

Legend has it that the lake in Jiuzhai was formed by the tears shed by a fairy. This fairy came to play in the world and accidentally met a handsome Tibetan man, and the two quickly fell in love. The fairy is determined to stay in the mortal world and stay with the man, and does not want to return to heaven. This angered the Jade Emperor, who mercilessly executed the man, and a fire burned there for three days and three nights, reducing the man to ashes.

The fairy was so grief-stricken that she drained all her tears until she could no longer shed tears. She gouged out one of her own eyes and spilled the last tear onto the ground where the man had been burned. This teardrop fell to the ground, and the splashed tears suddenly turned into 108 seas of different shapes, which were inlaid in this land, crystal clear, like pearls, showing off dazzling light. Everything around her that had been destroyed by the fire came back to life, the grass was green, the trees were growing branches and leaves, and everything was back to the way she and the man had first met.

This familiar and beautiful scene evokes fond memories of the fairy's old days. She didn't want it to go away, and she was determined to protect these beautiful seas so that they would never dry up, and that they would always protect the place she loved. So she transformed the eyeball into a water source embedded in the depths of the earth, with this water source, the water of these seas will continue to flow and never dry up.

In order to protect the water source, she quietly moved a nearby village to the bottom of the ground one night, and then erased all memories of the outside world from the villagers, leaving these memories in the mind of only one person, that is, the life of the temple*. The fairy appeared in a living* dream, and she told him all about it, and told him to remember that the people of this village were to guard this place and this water source for generations.

Because the water source is an important secret that cannot be known to the villagers or outsiders, the fairy has set up a barrier between the village and the outside world, and the water source is the key to open this barrier from the inside.

At the same time, she gave Huo* a special string of Buddha beads, telling him that if he wants to cross the barrier from the outside world and come back, the Buddha beads are the only magic weapon, and only if the living * holds the Buddha beads and recites the correct mantra, the barrier can be opened from the outside world. So, there is no one in the outside world except for live*.

The fairy has given the living * a special right, but the living * must keep this secret forever, and can only pass it on to the next living person*. No one else can go back and forth between the inside and the outside world except for the living, and the village must be forever cut off from the rest of the world, and no one inside can go out, and no one from outside can come in. If he breaks his oath, then he will be punished by Heaven.

After listening to Phuntsok's account, Ying'e was speechless in surprise: "Is what you said true?" I can't believe how there can be such an amazing place in the world. ”

"I know it's hard for you to accept it, it's hard to believe, but that's the truth of the matter."

"So you're the one who lives*?"

"Yes!"

"Wait, you just said that your life* comes out to practice for a month every year, but you've been here for a year?"

"Because of the barrier, our time is much slower than yours, and our month is your year. Because guarding the water source is a thousand-year-long process, the fairy set up an enchantment and changed time, making our time pass very slowly. ”

"It turns out that these are really two completely different worlds, so that's why you said you can't take me with you?"

"Yes."

"What would happen if you took me back? What kind of punishment will there be? ”

"I don't know."

The two fell into deep thought.

After a while, Phuntsok asked Ying'e, "If I take you back with me, would you like to go?" ”

"What do you say? But didn't you say you couldn't take me back? You will be punished by the Divine. ”

"I'm not afraid, though, I don't know what kind of punishment it is. But I don't want to be separated from you, as long as I can stay with you for even one more day, I am willing to pay more. So I'm going to take you back. Peng Cong looked at Ying'e, he had already made a decision.

"But, I'm afraid!"

"What are you afraid of?"

"I'm afraid you'll be punished, I'm afraid I'll lose you. I want you to live well. ”

"But would you be happy if we were separated now?"

"No, it won't."

"Neither will I. And never again. Instead of living my life like this, I should take you back now, and no matter what happens in the future, I will use my life to protect you and protect you. ”

"Phuntsok, have you really thought it through? Are you really going to take me back? ”

"I figured it out. Just ......"

"Just what?"

"But once you go back with me, then you will never come out again for the rest of your life, and you will be completely cut off from this complicated world. Can you stand that loneliness? Peng Cong asked.

"Also, after taking you back, I can't let others know your origin, in order to hide your identity, you can only be a deaf and dumb person who pretends to be deaf and dumb in front of others. Can you do it? Peng Cong continued to ask.

"I can! As long as you are willing to take me with you, I am willing to do whatever you want me to do, as long as I can be by your side every day and see you, then I will be satisfied, you are enough in this life! Ying'e said categorically. At this point, everything has been left behind her.

They looked at each other with trust and perseverance in their eyes, and they were ready to face all the unknown.

In this way, Phuntsok took Ying'e back to that ancient and mysterious place.

Ying'e stayed in the temple, and was usually responsible for cleaning, serving tea and water, and taking care of the daily life of the house. When someone asked her about her origins, Phuntsok only said that she had met her by chance in the village, and that she was born deaf and dumb, and had no relatives and no reason, so he brought her back to the temple. Ying'e doesn't mind the comparison, happily being a deaf and dumb girl who doesn't matter in the eyes of others.

Their lives are quiet, happy, fulfilling, and uneventful. Sometimes Phuntsok would take her out of the temple, go to the mountains to see the yaks, go to the fields to pick wild flowers, and when he was in the mood, he would also read the scriptures for Ying'e or write some loving poems for her.

However, the good times did not last long, and after returning from outside, Phuntsok's body deteriorated day by day, and he seemed to have a strange illness, but no one could diagnose what disease he had. He was thinner and weaker, and sometimes he didn't even have the strength to walk.

Ying'e is worried about Phuntsok's health, and guards him every day and takes care of him meticulously. But no matter what they tried, Phuntsok's health did not improve in the slightest.

At this time, Ying'e found out that she was pregnant, and she happily told Phuntsok the good news. Phuntsok's eyes, who had been unenergetic for a long time, suddenly lit up, and a long-lost smile appeared on his face, and at this time he seemed to be full of strength all over his body, and he unwillingly picked up Ying'e from the ground.

"Let me go and be careful of being seen." Ying'e gently pounded Phuntsok's chest and told him to quickly put her down.

Phuntsok happily put Ying'e down.

"You look much better!" Ying'e said.

"Really? Because I'm so happy! ”

Phuntsok got carried away, still basking in this sudden joy. But then, he began to worry. He thought for a while and said to Ying'e:

"I'm going to send you out!"

"What?" Ying'e wondered if she had misheard.

"You're pregnant, you can't stay here anymore. If someone finds out you're pregnant, they'll burn you and the baby in your womb. ”

"Why?"

"Because they don't know who the father of the child is. You're alone, you're living in a temple, and you're pregnant, what do they think? This kind of behavior is absolutely not allowed here. In order to preserve the dignity of the temple, they will execute you and your children. ”

"How so, and what should we do?" Ying'e began to get scared.

"Listen to me, you have to be obedient, take our child out, and give him and yourself a way to live." Phuntsok said to Ying'e seriously.

"But we can't leave you, how can I rest assured that you are like this now! Nor can a child be without a father. Besides, as you said, I will never leave here for the rest of my life. ”

"It's different now, you have our children. I know my body, my time is numbered, and you know it very well, but we don't want to face reality. But now we have to face it, I can't hold out for long, and I can't continue to protect you in the future, so you must live well. Remember what I told you? If he breaks his promise, he will be punished by Heaven, and now that it has been fulfilled, I have nothing to fear, and I will send you out no matter what. ”

"No, I'm not leaving, I'm going to accompany you, even if it's only for a year, a month, a day, I'll accompany you for the rest of the days." Ying'e cried.

"No, the sooner you go, the safer it is, if they find out, you won't be able to leave if you want to. Let me send you out while I can walk, or you won't be able to get out if you want to go out when I'm gone. Take good care of our children. Remember, don't tell outsiders about your experience and forget everything you have here. ”

"No, I'm not leaving, I can't leave you!"

"The safety of you and your child is my last wish in this life. Only when you go out can I leave this world in peace. Phuntsok said affectionately to Ying'e.

Ying'e hugged Phuntsok and cried bitterly, she didn't know if this parting was the last parting.

"Then when I give birth, I'll bring him to you, okay?" Ying'e asked crying.

"Don't do it in vain, you know, you can't get in. By the time the child was born, I would have left this world long ago. Don't think about coming to me and starting your life again, hiding all these memories in your heart, or forgetting them completely, including me. ”

"No, I can't!"

"You can, it's just a dream, wake up from the dream, everything is different!"

In this way, Phuntsok took Ying'e to the junction to the outside world, and he used all his strength to open the barrier. But at this time, the water source continued to pour out dense bubbles like boiling water, the barrier shook violently, it was slowly tightening, and the road to the outside world became fainter and more blurred, as if it was about to disappear. Seeing this, Phuntsok used all his strength to push Ying'e onto the road to the outside world, and at the same time placed the jade in Ying'e's palm.

Ying'e didn't have time to react and had been pushed to the outside world, she looked back and saw Phuntsok shouting at her:

"Remember to leave it to our children! ……”

Young-e was drawn to a huge attraction from the outside world and couldn't break free, and she saw Phuntsok's face become more and more blurry, and finally the barrier disappeared, and Phuntsok's face disappeared with it.

Ying'e has returned to this familiar world. The world has become so strange that it has only been a year inside and twelve years have been outside.

She returned to her home, where her parents were visibly senile. Over the years, they have worked hard to find their daughter's whereabouts, but there has been no news. They have lost hope, and they have even accepted the fact that their daughter is no longer in this world. The sudden appearance of Ying'e surprised them, and when they found out that their daughter was really still there and really appeared in front of their eyes, the family couldn't help but hug each other and cry bitterly.

Her parents anxiously asked her where she had been all these years and why there was no news. Ying'e only said that she went to a very distant and beautiful place. When they wanted to ask more, Ying'e didn't want to say anything more.

Later, my grandmother Ying'e gave birth to my grandfather.

Later, she made a picture book of her experiences. In the last days of her life, she always carried this album in her arms and flipped through it, sometimes smiling when she looked at it, and sometimes falling asleep when she looked at it.

On her deathbed, she called my grandfather to her and told him all about it.

My grandfather's eyes widened, he couldn't believe his ears, everything her mother told him sounded like a story of the Arabian Nights. Then my grandmother took out the album and the piece of jade, and gave them to my grandfather, who said to them:

"You must take good care of these two things, these are the two most important things in my life. I have no worries, this life is enough! I know you don't believe my story, but you remember, this piece of jade is the only thing your father left you! How legendary my experience is, my story sounds fantastical! Child, this is not a story, because you, you are the best proof of this. But I prefer you to treat it as just a story, and never try to find it, to bother with it, because you can never find it. ”

Just like that, my grandmother Ying'e passed away. And this legendary experience of hers was also told to my father by my grandfather on his deathbed. Half a year ago, my father unfortunately passed away due to illness, and before he died, he told me this story. The album and the jade left by my grandmother have been passed down from generation to generation as heirlooms in accordance with her wishes.
