Why is May Fourth Youth Day?

On May 4, 1919, due to the incompetence of the Beiyang government at the Paris Peace Conference, although we were the victorious powers, we could not escape the fate of land reparations. So the Chinese people were completely enraged, and the hot-blooded young people of China stood up and roared, like a deafening thunder that woke up the Chinese people!

So students went on strike, workers went on strike. Between the rise and fall of the country, enthusiastic young people sought a way to save the country and survive, and China entered the new democratic revolution.

That's why we commemorate May Fourth.

Three years later, Lu Xun wrote in the preface to "The Scream":

If an iron house is windowless and indestructible, and there are many sleeping people in it, they will soon suffocate to death, but they will fall from slumber to death, and they will not feel the sorrow of death. Do you think you are worthy of the cry of the more sober men, and the irremediable suffering of this unfortunate few?

But since a few people have risen, you cannot say that there is no hope of destroying this iron house.

Although Lu Xun didn't see it with his own eyes, the young people who woke up in the May Fourth Movement, they finally demolished the suffocating iron house.

Thus was born New China.

These people may be students, workers, or peasants...... They woke up, they resisted, they demolished the house, they moved the mountain that weighed on their heads.

At that time, some people said, ah, this house has always been like this, why did you tear it down? This mountain has been pressing on you for so many years, why do you want to move away now?

There is no why.

"I used to be a cow and a horse, but now I want to be a man."

In Anyuan, three years after the May Fourth Movement, teachers and tens of thousands of workers answered this question.

It's always been that way, right?

It has always been so, and it should be the case in the future?

People live on their own, and they should have what they should have, not let people deprive you of everything and then let them give you a part of what should belong to you.

The spirit of May Fourth, in essence, is the spirit of patriotism, the spirit of resistance, and the spirit of people who are unwilling to be slaves to rise up and resist!

So how can you really be willing to be a cow and a horse for the rest of your life?

However, a person who only has one pair of bottoms in Goose City will never be able to be Zhang Mazi, nor will he have the courage to be Zhang Mazi.

Lu Xun said, we ourselves have already been properly arranged, there are high and low, large and small, up and down. You are abused by others, but you can also abuse others; Eat yourself by others, but you can also eat others. Level by level, I can't move, and I don't want to move. Because if you move, although it may be beneficial, it also has disadvantages.

Therefore, this feast of human flesh is still in line, and many people still want to keep it in line. But sweeping away these cannibals, tearing down this feast, and destroying this kitchen is the mission of the youth today.

The world is yours and ours, but ultimately yours is yours.

Some of the young people may be awake, some asleep, some faint, some lying, some playing, and many more.
