Chapter 34: Return to Home

In the early morning of the next day, the "Polar Eye" lifted anchor and sailed from the Diaoyu Islands to the Ryukyu Islands, focusing on exploring the Ryukyu Trench.

The relics of 3,000 years ago, which fell in that sea, can they be safed now?

Not to mention the long time ago, just talking about the influence of the ocean tides and currents, it is conceivable that the bronze energy motherboard will no longer be in place!

Will it work to carve a boat for a sword? Not to mention the first memory of the spirit!

"Turn on the probe scanner and search!" After the "Polar Eye" sailed away from the Diaoyu Islands, Tang Shaohe decisively issued an order.

Thirty knots is not a low speed! It is only 150 nautical miles from the Diaoyu Islands to the Ryukyu Islands, and it is estimated that the key search area will be reached in the afternoon.

The bronze energy motherboard may exist on any seabed within 150 nautical miles centered on the Ryukyu Islands, and Tang Shaohe decided to expand the search area.

However, the situation in the Ryukyu Islands today is extremely complex, and the complications need to be traced back to history.

The issue of sovereignty is difficult to resolve, and there are too many opposing and opposing arguments that draw on history, international law, treaties and geographical locations. For example, China has made claims to these islands based on early contracts and historical records, discovered them, and named them, claiming them.

Japanese records and published reports indicate that Japan recognized China's early claims to sovereignty, but Japan still insisted that it acquired the islands in 1895 under the Treaty of Shimonoseki, which ended the Sino-Japanese War, and that the islands were considered part of a transfer from Taiwan to Japan, which was subsequently administered by Okinawa Prefecture.

At the end of World War II, according to the Cairo Declaration and the Potsdam Proclamation, Japan was not allowed to retain any of the territories it had seized from China. Japan did not object, because it had just been defeated. The San Francisco Peace Treaty finalized this arrangement.

However, after World War II, the United States took control of the islands as part of its administration of the Ryukyu Islands. The ownership of the Ryukyu Islands had not yet been decided at that time. The U.S. Navy had leased the islands as a firing range to a Japanese who held a contract with the Diaoyu Islands. In 1972, the United States returned the Ryukyu Islands to Japan.

At the same time, the new findings of scientists can show that geography no longer supports Japan's sovereignty claims. The Diaoyu Islands are not geographically – as has long been believed – part of the Ryukyu Islands, but may be an extension of the Chinese mainland's shelf, although this has not yet been ruled under the relevant provisions of international law.

In 1372, Zhu Yuanzhang, the Taizu of the Ming Dynasty, sent Yang Zai to the three kingdoms of the Ryukyus to issue an edict to the three kingdoms of the Ryukyus, and the king of Zhongshan sent his brother Tai to envoy to the Ming Dynasty, and in the second year, the king of Shanbei was afraid of Nizhi and the king of Shannan Cheng Chadu also paid tribute to the Ming Dynasty and became a vassal state of the Ming Dynasty.

According to the vassal relationship between Ryukyu and the Ming Dynasty, each generation of Ryukyu kings had to receive canonization from the Ming Dynasty.

In 1872, Japan declared the Ryukyu Islands to be the territory of Japan, did not recognize China's suzerainty over the Ryukyu Islands since 1372, announced the abolition of the Ryukyu Kingdom, established the Ryukyu Domain, canonized the Ryukyu King Shotai as a vassal king, and officially invaded the Ryukyus.

On March 30, 1879 (the 5th year of Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty and the 12th year of the Meiji era), Japan moved the last Ryukyu king, Shotai and his son Shonori, to Tokyo, and made Ryukyu Okinawa Prefecture, and the Ryukyu Kingdom was destroyed.

On September 8, 1951, Japan and the United States signed a military alliance treaty at the headquarters of the Sixth Army of the United States Army in San Francisco, that is, the U.S.-Japan Security Treaty, which not only constituted the legal basis for Japan's subordination to the United States, but also allowed the United States to establish, expand, and use military bases in Japan almost without restrictions.

Tang Shaohe thought of the complexity of the Ryukyu Islands, his mood was quite restless, he frowned slightly, and stared at the sea with a cold face.

"What's wrong? Less and! Helena's white, slender hand rested on his slightly shaved willow shoulder, and looked sideways at his resolute face.

"Alas, the search has been fruitless at present, my big bronze fish has swam to nowhere to go, there is the Ryukyu Islands ahead, I plan to go to the Ryukyu Trench to explore, however, there is a US military base there, I hope everything goes well!"

Helena saw the complexity of things in his twinkling gaze.

"What a bronze fish, you're really here to fish? How does it sound so mysterious! Dong Lang, tell me honestly! She took his arm and accompanied him to stand in the sailing wind, which was mixed with water foam and wet their cheeks.

"Tell me what? Well, it's just a metaphor, the lost things of the past, the haunting worries, the waves, the millennium, the search today, I don't know if it's wrong? Although there is advanced detection equipment, he knows that finding a bronze energy motherboard that has been lost for 3,000 years in this vast sea is tantamount to looking for a needle in a haystack.

"This is the confession you gave me, this confession makes me confused, I listen confused, alas, forget it, I appreciate my sea and sky, you let go and catch your fish!" The eyes of the deep sea are clear and innocent.

Standing in the corridor on the right side of the third floor of the wheelhouse, looking back at the long snow-white track of the "Polar Eye" sailing fast, like a churning white jiao, the pressure of the water waves provoked a group of flying fish to fly low out of the sea, the jellyfish on the sea surface are leisurely floating, like a white fresh mushroom, the seagulls chirp and circle, swoop into the sea, and take the small fish on the surface of the sea.

"Young master, three corvettes are heading towards our ship in an encirclement posture, the captain asks for instructions on the next move!" The first mate quickly walked out of the cab and came to Tang Shaohe's side.

"Slow down!" After Tang Shaohe gave the order, he entered the cab with the first mate.

The captain slowed down, then stopped, as the three frigates were already approaching.

The Japanese flag and the naval flag are hoisted on the tail flagpole of the frigate, damn me, the three corvettes are all Japanese naval warships!

"Hurry away, you have approached the joint military exercise area of the Japanese and US Navy, leave immediately! Otherwise, you will bear the consequences! The frigate shouted at the Polar Eye.

It turned out that the Japanese and US navies were conducting a joint military exercise codenamed "Thunderstorm-2054" in this sea area, and the joint military exercise lasted for half a month.

The Ryukyu Islands are the main areas of the joint military exercises of the Japanese and U.S. navies, and the 100 nautical miles of the U.S. Air Force Base in Kadena are no-sail zones for merchant ships and fishing vessels.

Kadena Air Base is located in the southwest of Okinawa Island, and it is the largest air base of the US military in the Far East.

Sure enough, three F-15 fighters whizzed over the "Polar Eye" probe ship.

"Shaohe, it seems that we are about to break into the Japanese-US military exercise area, evacuate, don't trespass! You see, the three frigates are clearly going to drive us out! Helena also entered the cab, and she kindly reminded him.

This trip is really not the right time, it happened to meet the joint military exercises of the US and Japanese navies, alas, I had to be forced to return!

"Homecoming!" Tang Shaohe ordered.

The Polar Eye probe ship sailed out of the waters of the Ryukyus under the watchful eye of three corvettes.
