Chapter 106: The Third Project

The warriors gathered at the entrance to the labyrinth, where the original Quidditch pitch had been transformed beyond recognition, and a sprawling labyrinth had risen from the ground.

A twenty-foot-tall hedge enclosed the edge of the field, leaving only a gap where the warriors entered, and it was pitch black in the passageway, which made several warriors feel a little frightened, and the unknown was always unsettling.

The spectators sat in the original stands of the Quidditch pitch, which may have been chosen for this reason, so as to reduce the amount of work.

Hagrid, Professor Moody, Professor McGonagall, and Professor Flitwick walked towards Bagman and several of the Warriors, who patrolled the perimeter of the labyrinth and would rescue the Warriors in distress if a Warrior signaled.

As for Ios, he could have participated in the patrol, but he refused, he knew very well what would happen in this game, and no one else was in danger except Cedric anyway, so it was not impossible to take him down depending on the situation when the time came.

After all, his death was meaningless, neither to move the plot forward, nor to get Harry to hang up and defeat Voldemort. Therefore, since it is worthless to die or live it, it is a human life.

After the four patrolmen dispersed and went to different places to start patrolling, Bagman began to blow the whistle after reading out the total scores and rankings of the Warriors at this stage.

Harry and Cedric are still tied for first place, while Fleur is one point behind them and Krum is third. With a short whistle, the warriors entered the maze according to their rankings.

Seeing this, Ios took out a monocle and put it on his left eye. It's a magic item he's made out of the past, and it has the ability to see through disguise and perspective, so it's perfect for use here.

With these glasses, he could see exactly what was going on in the labyrinth. Although the sky was not very good, there was still a faint light in the labyrinth, especially since several warriors used magic wands to illuminate them, which exposed their positions.

When the fake Moody heard the whistle, he snuck into the labyrinth, and at once he ran into Krum, who was walking cautiously, and before he could react, he was cast a Imperius curse, causing him to walk in the direction of Fleur.

Then Krum attacked Fleur under his control, successfully eliminated her, and then attacked Cedric, but was saved by Harry as in the original book, and Krum was also eliminated, seeing this, he carefully hid to the side to prevent the two of them from noticing.

Then he followed Harry like this, removing a lot of obstacles in his path in advance, so that Harry, a young wizard, could also cope.

Many of them were a threat to their warriors, not to mention Harry, who was only in his fourth year. Cedric, on the other hand, carefully avoided most of the dangers, and only used magic to solve those that could not be avoided.

So it was a coincidence that the two saw the trophy at the same time, and even Cedric was a little faster, and I have to say that without the help of this fake Moody, Harry would not have been able to pass this Triwizard Tournament.

The first project is hard to say, and even if it weren't for Moody's reminder, maybe he would have thought of that approach eventually. But the second project was different, without Moody's intervention, he didn't think of a way until the beginning of the project, did he finally swim by holding his breath? It's impossible at all!

As for this maze challenge, if it weren't for this fake Moody, he would have encountered several times more danger than now, and he might have been eliminated by then, but even so, he couldn't outpace Cedric.

It can only be said that the protagonist deserves to be the protagonist, and there is always someone to help solve the problem, although this person is the enemy, and the purpose is not pure.

Seeing this, Ios knew that he had to make a move, otherwise when the two of them solved the spider and went to get the trophy together, Cedric would inevitably die.

He had already arrived near the maze when they were separated before, and he had to go into the maze immediately while the two of them were still dealing with the big spider, but accidents always happened so suddenly--

"Stop! Who are you? You can't get close here... Oh, it's Mr. Sovor, why are you here? Professor McGonagall spotted him while on patrol and rushed to stop him.

"I have urgent matters and I don't have time to explain, goodbye!" As he spoke, he was about to enter the labyrinth.

But where would Professor McGonagall, who takes the rules so seriously, let him go so easily? Even if he was the president of the student council, the best student wouldn't be the best, so she pulled out her wand and cast a spell to try to immobilize him.

No way, he couldn't let the petrification spell hit him, turned around, and flicked the magic away.

Seeing this scene, Professor McGonagall was secretly surprised, it is not impossible to use a wand to bounce off other people's magic, but that requires a lot of strength, not to mention that he can't even use a wand! Has this kid grown to this height?!

Can't make it... Seeing that the two had already rushed to the trophy, Ios sighed and gave up the idea of continuing into the labyrinth.

"Do you have any reason? Why go into the maze now? Seeing Ios pause, Professor McGonagall asked.

"I noticed that Professor Moody seems to have a problem, he went into the maze and helped Harry out a lot of trouble, which is not like what he would do." He couldn't explain that he had discovered that Moody was a fake, so he had to make a different excuse.

"What?! Professor Moody literally got into the maze and helped Harry cheat! Professor McGonagall didn't suspect that Ios was lying, and although she wasn't a Gryffindor student, she knew something about Ios and knew that he didn't bother to do such things.

Then there is only one possibility, that Moody's really has a problem! He had no reason to do so, it was suspicious to do such a thing. But there's another question, "And how do you know this, Mr. Sovor?" ”

Ios didn't say anything, untied his monocle and handed it to Professor McGonagall, "Just put it on and see." ”

Professor McGonagall understood everything after taking it in her left eye, and there was no longer the slightest suspicion, "I'm going to find Professor Moody, do you want to go with me?" ”

"Professor McGonagall, with all due respect, the point now is not to find Professor Moody. Harry and Cedric vanished when they touched the trophy, which had apparently been made into a portkey. Now that the situation is serious, let's find Professor Dumbledore first. ”

"Makes sense, I'll go find Professor Dumbledore." With that, she hurried away.

The rest is none of Ios's business, he went to find Fleur, and he hasn't seen how she's doing. When I found her, I found that she was only knocked unconscious, and she was relieved that there was nothing serious.

Dumbledore, on the other hand, did not immediately go to the fake Moody, after all, he could not confirm the situation, and it would be bad to startle the snake. However, after Harry was transferred back and taken by him, he secretly followed the fake Moody and heard something terrible.

Something is wrong! This was Dumbledore's first thought after learning the whole truth from Crouch and Harry, who were pretending to be Moody, that Voldemort had really come back to life!

Although he had expected it, he couldn't help but feel a rush when the reality was in front of him.

It's time to call the Order of the Phoenix.
