Chapter Seventy-Six: The Crowd Outside the Door
Funeral parlor.
The door had been opened by me, but there was darkness out there, unlike what Hawkeye said of the dark clouds and sunset.
"Taste this."
We waited for half a minute, and the thing outside the door seemed to be more patient than we did, and finally, Hawkeye got impatient, took a round ball from his waist and threw it out the door.
"What's that?"
Before I could react, it was already daylight outside the door, so bright that I couldn't see anything.
"A light bulb grenade emits a bright light close to kilowatts after impact, but it only lasts for a few seconds."
Hawkeye, don't look away, explain.
"It can dispel the darkness and shoot the eyes."
I quickly turned my face, and the puppet didn't care, still staring at the door.
After the bright light, I finally saw out the door with the lowered light, which immediately made my scalp tingle.
A group of people gathered outside the door and looked inside the door, everyone had expressionless faces, like a crowd of onlookers on the street watching inside the door.
The bright light made their eyes bleed, but they were still looking inside the door.
I think of a sentence.
When you stare into the abyss, the abyss is staring at you.
Not only me, but Hawkeye didn't expect the scene outside the door to be so "charming".
I knew I wasn't the only one who could see her expression, but fortunately they were only watching from outside the door and didn't make any further movements.
"We've got to close the door, close the door."
Hawkeye is a bit empty, no one likes the feeling of being watched, let alone not knowing what the hell is watching you.
I stood up, and I accidentally saw that the receptionist turned his head, very subtlely, and then looked at this guy with a smile and a grin, looking at me and Hawkeye, and suddenly a wave of anger came together.
"Make you laugh, make you laugh."
The more I looked at it, the more uncomfortable I became, and I walked over and let the puppet lift him up directly, pinching his head.
What Hawkeye saw was the receptionist flying out of thin air in front of me, towards the door.
"Throw him out."
I shouted, Hawkeye looking inexplicable, but the golem was completely on my orders.
The receptionist was picked up by the war puppet and walked in the direction of the door, step by step, the receptionist's originally smiling face began to turn ugly.
The golem didn't care about the receptionist's struggle, just threw it out, and then stepped on the arm on the ground to pull the door shut.
"Boom."
The feeling of a world outside the door and a world inside the door.
I seem to hear screams, and it turns out that the immortal are afraid.
Hawkeye stood up, looked at me, and took a step back.
"What was it just now?"
She should have known that there was something other than me and her.
I shrugged my shoulders and didn't want to explain, to be honest this place made me very uncomfortable, and now I can't get out of the main door, and I have to find another way.
Hawkeye was still a little scared, his eyes wandering around, but he couldn't see anything.
"Let's go, see if there is any other way, the goal has been achieved, we have to get out of here."
I spoke, looking at the buildings around me.
Hawkeye gave me a meaningful look and nodded.
She recovered faster than I thought and didn't ask about the puppet, and I couldn't explain it.
Raising a little ghost? It's too unbelievable, think about it, forget it, the mystery can make them fear me, after all, I don't know if the so-called supernatural research is an enemy or a friend.
"This way."
Hawkeye led the way, and I paid a little attention to it, and the receptionist at the reception desk did not "refresh" again.
It seems that this goods will not come back.
I thought to myself.
The boiler burners in the freezer were already frozen into popsicles, holding a position.
"Looks like he won't be able to go to work today."
I shook my head and joked.
"It's better than being burned, let's go, there's a staircase here, and the windows upstairs don't have burglar-proof windows."
Hawkeye looked, lifted the gun, and put it down again, clearly pleased with his ice sculpture.
Although the golem can pass through walls, I still let it return to the ring, and it is only by surprise that I can overcome the enemy.
There is also a door in the freezer, which pushes open, is a staircase, and Hawkeye's sole tap tap rings in the stairwell.
Follow her and head towards the second floor.
To my surprise, the second floor was the mourning room, and many people bowed their heads in front of an urn, and we walked past the door and saw a group of people dressed in black, all with their heads bowed, as if they were silently reciting a deceased relative.
I took a few looks, took out my phone on a whim, and took a few photos, and Hawkeye urged me to follow.
"They? And not people? ”
I asked.
Hawkeye nodded and replied to me.
The last time I went in and saw it, I had a posture and an expression, and my face was full of sadness and longing, so I just lowered my head and didn't react.
It's like a funeral home, although I don't know what it is, so I'm too lazy to care.
The upstairs was a little cramped compared to the downstairs, and an open window caught my attention.
I walked to the window and looked out.
As Hawkeye said, the place where he is seems to be standing in a desert building, looking outside, there are endless flat-bottomed hills, there is not a single tree or a big stone, and the sky is obviously a sunset shrouded in dark clouds.
"Looks like the rain is coming."
I spoke, and Hawkeye replied next to me.
"It's always been like this, I waited a long time last time, there was no rain and the sun didn't set."
I can't imagine a girl who spent some time in this isolated place, although it was very short, if it were me, I swore that I would have been able to be sent to a psychiatric hospital in no more than three days, and I know the fragility of the human spirit as a doctor.
"We've got to jump from here, I'll do it first."
Hawkeye showed a different downfall than before coming to the funeral home, like a second trip that made her no longer afraid.
I took a step back, and she stepped over the window and landed perfectly.
It's not high, I looked at it, I can't lose to girls, I'm not afraid of heights, I also turned over, and then I felt the difference in my body, because the previous alcoholic life almost made me a lazy and lazy waste, but now my muscles are more flexible than I imagined, which should be attributed to that river map.
Hawkeye gave me an appreciative look, and I seemed to hear her whisper.
"Oh, yes!"
Hawkeye gives me the feeling that I am a professionally trained person, neither the use of a sniper rifle nor the agility of my body is like a pampered girl.
"You were a soldier?"
I'm also looking for a topic out of curiosity.
"Well, a few years of service."
Hawkeye looked around, as if looking for the strange creatures that were watching the door.
I would have liked to continue to ask more about her, after all, the two of them don't speak, and the silence is depressing.
But at this moment, a figure in the distance walked slowly towards this side, and the posture reminded me of the zombies in European and American science fiction films.
I grabbed Hawkeye, who was walking forward, and nodded my chin, pointing forward.
Hawkeye stopped, and his body shook involuntarily.
"It's that woman, like a written script, and it's surprisingly similar every time."
Eagle Eye stared at the figure walking in the distance.
