33. Psychology
By the way, the closing speech of my book was sent to the work and could not be changed.
I guess a lot of people didn't see it, alas.
Let's talk about psychology today.
When I was a child, I read a book called "Fun Psychology", which was considered an enlightenment to my psychology, and at that time I thought that real Nima was beautiful. When I grew up, I read a lot of psychology books, some because I was curious, and some because I thought it was interesting.
Psychology, in my mind, can be divided into two categories, practical psychology, and academic psychology.
The former is something like "If you don't get angry, you don't get sick". The characteristic is that the content of a book can be summarized in a few sentences, but the author can break it into a whole book, and can also publish a sequel and a sequel 3 and 4. It's full of short stories and nonsense.
The latter is all the academic works of psychology that are serious about it.
Generally speaking, I mainly look at the latter, and the former occasionally piggybacks on it to see and is said to be pretty good. Of course, if I found out about Shabi, I wouldn't have read it.
But the most painful thing is that I often buy Shabi books. So later, I bought fewer and fewer books, and I always bought them after confirming the quality of the books on Douban.
When it comes to serious psychological writings, I feel that psychology is primarily a science, not a metaphysics. First of all, we must admit that consciousness and thinking are a function of the brain, and that the material composition of the brain affects consciousness, so that we can begin to conduct scientific research on human psychology.
There are two kinds of fun that I can feel.
One is the interest of scientific research itself, I often read popular science books all day because it is very interesting to engage in scientific research.
The second is that psychology is closely related to life, and through studying psychology, you can observe human activities in turn, which is interesting.
Of course, it is more about observing my own psychological phenomena, after all, I don't know what others think, I can only know what others do, and infer his psychology through behavior. But for yourself, it's knowing both, and it's easier to analyze.
From this perspective, it leads to another purpose of my view of psychology, which is to improve myself.
Know the reason, know how to change, and adjust your mentality.
In addition to psychology, there is also a branch, which is the combination of psychology and economics - behavioral economics.
The book on this is also very good.
Recently I watched Grotesque Behavior 1 and 2.
Behavioral economics looks a lot like some book, with lots of little stories in it, but if you look closely, you'll see the difference.
The characteristic of nonsense books (often success studies) is that each of his stories is from unknown sources, "my classmate", "an old man", "a doctor", etc., which are simply unverifiable and nonsense.
But in the book of behavioral economics, each story will give a detailed source that can be verified. And there will be a lot of real experiments in it, because behavioral economics is also a science, so there are experiments.
Finally, a little digression.
I often buy really bad books, and if I look at them for a while, I can see that I have planted them again, and this book is rubbish.
But even then, I wouldn't hurt it, I would throw it in the pantry.
I am gentle with every book. Especially for books that I like, I will wrap them in the book cover and read them again, and after reading them, I will take off the book cover and look like new.
