Chapter 2: About Me, About Zero
I'm a killer, a killer who never has a name.
I don't know where I've come from or where I'm going to go. I'm just carrying out one command after another, like a killing machine, and if I ignore the normal feelings of people who eat and sleep, I think I am indeed a machine.
Is there a thrill in killing? I don't know, for a machine, there are no such messy ideas.
One day, I received a mission from the organization to kill the mysterious killer Zero, who had been at the top of the killer rankings for nearly a year.
I didn't know much about Zero's identity, except that the man liked to kill international criminals, not even his gender and age.
So, I set out on a long hunt.
I hibernate for a year, find out exactly what an organ trafficking organization is, and even investigate the life lines of the head and each of the main members in detail, just waiting for Zero to come.
During that time, news came from the international community that Zero had killed all the core figures of a drug-making gang and bombed an underground organization that made guns.
When I saw the news, I wasn't in a hurry, because I always had an intuition, which belonged to the "killing machine", that zero would definitely come, and I would definitely encounter it.
I kept waiting, waiting for zero.
On that day, the weather was not good, and the sky was so overcast that it looked like it was going to rain. After staring at me all night, I was ready to go to the coffee shop to buy a cup of coffee to wake up.
At breakfast time, the coffee shop was crowded, and I lined up quietly, trying to keep my presence as low as possible. Out of boredom, I subconsciously looked out the window again, wanting to explore the sky as much as possible.
And it was this moment of looking back that I froze.
It was a beautiful girl, the presence of a sunflower. She was sitting by the window, her brown hair seemed to be coated with a halo in the light and shadow, her lips curved into a beautiful arc, and as a small corner of cake entered her mouth, her clear eyes narrowed into a line, and her happy and happy expression was overflowing, as if she had eaten the best taste of the world.
In just a moment, I withdrew my gaze, but in my heart, I couldn't stop rolling out a thousand waves.
As soon as I bought my coffee, I walked out of the café pretending nothing had happened, and God knows how I suppressed the urge to say hello to her. I know very well that I'm still on a mission, and even though that mission will come to an end tonight, I can't even look back, even if I look at it again, because that's my killer rule.
I reassured myself that maybe when the dust settled, there would be a chance.
Back at the secret base, the surveillance screen is still full of arguing. Since receiving the news that they have been targeted by the police, those people have begun to formulate a retreat plan, but when it comes to the distribution of funds, several parties have been deadlocked. However, regardless of the outcome of those discussions, according to the previous methods, Zero will definitely do it tonight, and it will definitely be a shocking blow.
Suddenly, there was a little excitement in my heart, and I was really looking forward to the final performance.
I lay on my stomach in the corner of the harbor that I had already chosen, and waited for a long time. After the police evacuated, the next step of deployment began, just after the rumbling explosion, finally, waiting for Zero to appear.
The flowing figure jumped down, light and agile, like a girl, but alas, there was never a living ghost under my gun.
As with thousands of pulls on the trigger and hitting the target, I quickly put away my gear. I don't know, it's the dazed after the mission, or the emptiness of the journey, the night seems particularly lonely. But when I think of something, I am inexplicably a little excited, and I can't help but look forward to it, it is like another chance encounter in a beautiful morning.
Once, through the long canyon, through the desolate desert, quietly waiting for a round of the sunrise, but also under the noise of cannonballs to take away the unwitting soul.
I know very well that I won't be included in any records, and that no one will remember me until I die.
But walking in the darkness of the way home, I suddenly wanted to have a name, so that I could exchange names with her.
What's it called, I'm really looking forward to it.
The slender knuckles caressed her chest, and her heart began to beat uncontrollably again, the way she ate in the morning was so beautiful.
