Volume 1: Summary and Reflection

Before I start the second volume, I would like to do some self-reflection and summary, mainly for myself.

This novel was inspired by the theme of "son-in-law". Especially in the era of feudal patriarchy, the status of a door-to-door son-in-law is definitely not too high, commonly known as eating soft rice, even now, it seems that secular morality does not welcome these men who eat soft rice, but the male protagonist of this book is not so aggrieved, the male protagonist is a general of the dynasty, and he is good in all aspects, so the emperor personally gave him a marriage and let him "marry" Bai Yirong.

As for the emotional line between the hero and heroine, in fact, I wrote it rather failed and was vague. My premise is that there is no affection between two people at first, but there is some kind of subtle affection in the slow relationship between them...... But what I wrote was very different. The mistake is that the male and female protagonists have a good impression too early, and the female protagonist seems to be too submissive.

The image of the heroine is indeed a bit too described, and she is actually very confused. Does Bai Yirong have a favorite person? Of course, there is, but she herself is not aware of this, and the more obvious manifestation is the painting she painted, that painting, she is painting with a certain emotion, which is actually distorted. Let's put it this way, the person she really liked was actually the man who saved her at the Lantern Festival the year before last, that is, Lou Zhan, Lou Zhan was sloppy at that time, and he had just returned from the battlefield, maybe it was fate, so he saved her....... From this point of view, the two fell in love at first sight, but they didn't let each other know, because the environment they were in was too depressing......

The painting painted by Bai Yirong is actually the effect of her subconscious, what she painted is really what she really desires in her heart, but because of the pressure of reality and environment, she suppressed her unconscious love and caused this emotional distortion, and even transferred to other people, this other person refers to the image of Lou Zhan she heard from others - this Lou Zhan was given to her by the emperor for marriage, and she had to accept it, so there was that ambiguous painting.

This is my own explanation for the plausibility of the existence of that painting.

Bai Yirong's outstanding character trait is submissive, which is also caused by her weak personality, but her advantages are also obvious. She did not show extreme sides in the face of her own predicament, but had a super ability to endure and adapt, and she quickly accepted the situation she faced - being given marriage.

And Lou Zhan, Lou Zhan is a very thoughtful person, he has the city in his chest, but he is not a ruthless and unrighteous person, he also has a good impression of Bai Yirong, and he was shocked and painful because he found out that the woman he had a crush on was Bai Yirong, the reason for his pain is said in the book - this is also the biggest bomb hidden in this book, which may explode at any time, and if this bomb is ignited, whether he wants it or not, it will definitely be ignited by him himself. This part of the plot will be unveiled later (it will be exciting).

Another clue in this novel, the white hosta, is a bright line, in my own opinion. However, the number of appearances of the hairpin is too small, because it is not used in many plots, but it will definitely be used in the later plot arrangement, this hairpin is directly related to Bai Yirong's real life experience, but whenever it comes to Bai Yirong's life experience, the hairpin will definitely be mentioned.

Of course, the white hosta is not only related to Bai Yirong's life experience, but also related to Lou Zhan and Bai Yirong's first meeting, just because of a hairpin, there is a connection between the two, because this hairpin represents Lou Zhan's love for Bai Yirong, in other words, if Lou Zhan has no love for Bai Yirong, then he can not pick up the lost white hosta, or take it to the pawnshop, but he didn't do it, he regarded the hairpin as a baby, and after he got married, he didn't immediately confess his love, Because he wasn't sure whether Bai Yirong also had affection for him, so, as a man with strong self-esteem, he couldn't take the initiative to confess, but he should express his thoughts tactfully after determining Bai Yirong's intentions, or, in another case, under extreme pressure, when facing life and death, he might express it, for example, in the process of dealing with the remnants of the previous dynasty, the remnants of the previous dynasty were so powerful, he considered that he might have an accident, So he left a letter and took out the hairpin to confess his heart.

The appearance of the remnants of the previous dynasty has played a role in contributing to the plot of the whole book. I won't go into the details of this.

I want to talk about the names of Bai Yirong and Bai Yiyun, when I named them, I didn't notice the naming of a feudal family's male and female names, so please bear with me if I made mistakes.

This book is still immature, so it is necessary to summarize and reflect, and I like to write novels very much, and I also hope to be able to make a living by writing novels, and I also realize that if I want to write a good novel and be able to live on it, I must improve my own writing level, so I have made a summary and reflection here, hoping that I can improve even more.

Finally, encourage yourself – don't be smug about making it to this point, ask yourself if you can do it for the rest of your life!
