As for Step 3, Step 4 and the like are all procedural steps to recover data using a single FMC, so naturally this case is not applicable.

The failure of the dual FMC cuts off the pilot's navigation data page, leaving the pilot to rely on controlled radar guidance or his own traditional navigation.
