A love story

Practice the true love of a lifetime

There is such a story:

A soldier falls in love with a beautiful princess, but the princess doesn't like him. In order to prove his sincerity to the princess, the soldier decided to quietly guard the princess outside her window for a hundred days. So the soldier began this reckless guard. The sun was scorching, and the earth seemed to melt, but the soldier only looked at the princess's window, which was closed; The storm was raging, the world seemed to be shaken, and the soldier was still staring at the princess's window, which was still closed. The soldier watched the light in the window every night, and he stood so firmly in the dark; Seeing the light in the window disappear, he still stood firmly in the darkness. Time is the most meaningless in waiting, because waiting itself is the greatest meaning. Ninety-nine days of waiting passed slowly, and the soldiers had no intention of giving up, and the princess's window showed no sign of opening.

At dusk on the hundredth day, the closed window suddenly opened, and the princess poked her head out and waved happily to the soldiers. The princess was moved, and she fell in love with this soldier who had truly guarded her for a hundred days. But the soldier was no longer happy, no longer holding on, he turned around, and walked away in great stride. The princess hurried downstairs, ran to the soldier, and asked him why he had left. The soldier said that I guarded you for 100 days to prove that I truly loved you, and that I decided to leave you for the dignity of a man.

This is the end of the story, and most people will probably agree with the soldier's approach and the explanation he eventually gives. But it seems to me that dignity is just an excuse for him, and he tells a lie that is easily understood by the world. When a man falls in love, strong feelings will make him forget everything, she will become his only one, what dignity is, and who cares.

There is a true and vivid description in Jin Yong's pen. In "Dragon Babu", when the down-and-out You Tanzhi saw Ah Zi, who was the lord of the county, in the mansion of the king of the Southern Courtyard, the strong love made him kneel at Ah Zi's feet and kiss the soles of her feet with difficulty. It's a bit obscene, but it's commonplace. Since then, You Tanyi, who has changed his name to Zhuang Juxian, has always been a humble admirer of Ah Zi, and in front of Ah Zi, he even forgot the word "man", what kind of dignity do you talk about!

As for why the soldier left, I think the main reason should be: the heart is cold, and the love is dead. A hundred days of waiting is tantamount to a hundred days of torture, which is better than any kind of torture ever made. This is understandable, but it also proves that the love of soldiers is not true enough.

There is also such a story:

One day, Ananda, a disciple of the Buddha, said to the Buddha, "I have fallen in love with a woman."

The Buddha asked Ananda, "How much do you like this woman?"

Ananda said, "I would like to be incarnated as a stone bridge, and I will be blown by the wind for five hundred years, the sun for five hundred years, and the rain for five hundred years, and I just want her to pass over the bridge."

The Buddha asked Ananda again: How much you like it, but love at first sight will fall in love for a lifetime, but you don't ask for anything in return and pay to wait for Ananda, one day when the woman passes by the bridge, it will only pass, but you have become a stone bridge, destined to only stand with the wind and rain. You know all this, Ananda who is still willing to suffer the pain of creation only for that encounter, how much do you like the woman who passed by the bridge, so that you give up your life and are willing to suffer from the calamity of love

Ananda didn't say anything more, just asked the Buddha to be fulfilled.

In front of Ananda, did the soldier still tell his lies? He waited alone for a hundred days in order to win the princess's heart, and Ananda was willing to endure five hundred years of wind and rain just for the woman to walk across the bridge.

If you love, you have to love deeply, and it is better not to love if you love too shallowly. Forrest Gump in "Forrest Gump" proved his deep love with his life. He had only one woman in his heart all his life – Jenny. It took him his life to fulfill what Jenny said to her, "Run, Forrest, run." He has always run through high school, college, Vietnam, Alabama, and a legendary life. He once said to Jenny, "I'm not smart, but I know what love is." I think it was because of Forrest Gump's deep love that Jenny finally chose to return to him, and Jeanne understood that Forrest Gump was the most reliable destination in her life.

Cangyang Gyatso has a poem:

I have worried about many emotions and hurt all deeds,

When you enter the mountains, you may not fall into the city.

The Dharma of the World's Peace,

Live up to it.

I can't help but sigh, "O sixth, you are greedy!"

If you want to live up to it, others can't do it. But you really did it, live in the Potala Palace, you are the king of Tibet; Walking on the streets of Lhasa, you are a happy man.

However, after all, you failed to give up that relationship, and you ruined your cultivation and your life because of this. But I believe that you are satisfied, you are happy, and when you meet the Buddha, you can proudly say, "I have experienced true love, and I have practiced the Dharma all my life, which is far better than practicing true love for a lifetime." ”
