Chapter 45: The Chief's Deal
Nigel has been promoted to a high-level ability, and along with his abilities has grown a certain impulse of the most primitive human nature. This impulse became even stronger and irrepressible after seeing Heidi, who was standing on the edge of the mob with a slight frown.
"Boss, it seems that someone arrived earlier than us! But it doesn't matter, I'll go and communicate, and the other party seems to be a very good communication girl. β
Nigel craned his neck to look at the harmless figure in the distance, chuckled at Sean, and was about to pull the car door and get out of the car.
"Nigel, don't you think she's a little weird? Is she unaware or not afraid of the virus that these mobs are all about? And, don't you think it's suspicious that you didn't find any guards around her? Old man, I suggest you ......"
"Boss! You're a connoisseur at doing business, but I seem to have a better say in my instincts about danger! You can tell those damn wagons to hurry up, and I'll be done soon! β
Sean watched helplessly as Nigel walked towards the woman who was still standing quietly, he understood his old fellow very well, there were too few clean and beautiful women in the wilderness, and a man's impulsiveness always needed a channel.
Nigel wasn't as stupid as he appeared, and although he didn't feel even the slightest hint of danger from the woman with thick black glasses, he stopped far enough away from the other party.
"Hi beautiful lady, I see you've been here long enough, is there anything I need to do?"
Nigel greeted the other gentlemanly manner.
The other party should be a member of some mercenary squad, or a wilderness hunter like Sean who has the idea of fighting this small mob tide, but either way, the sixth-order Nigel is not afraid.
Heidi retracted her gaze from the wilderness mob, ignoring the Adeptus who had unlocked only six pairs of genetic sequences.
Three feet apart, it is the ideal psychological safety distance for a sixth-order ability with enhanced speed. Even if Heidi is willing to take a look at the other party, all the abilities that the other party has comprehended will be hidden in her eyes.
"Hey, you know, all the wilderness mobs in this wilderness are the private property of Lord Sean. If you or the team behind you are interested in them, we might as well talk about it. You know, beautiful lady, sometimes a proper fit will avoid a lot of unnecessary trouble. β
From the other party's behavior that seemed to dare not make eye contact with him, Nigel determined that the other party should be a mid-level ability.
"Yes, you're right, cooperation can avoid a lot of unnecessary trouble."
Heidi finally glanced back at the high-level supernatural who seemed to have some kind of idea in mind, perhaps the brain tissue of this high-level supernatural who had been dealing with the wilderness mob for a long time could make some new discoveries.
"Come with me, then, my dear, and let's find a slightly hidden place to communicate the distribution of the mob."
Nigel looked at the other's black-rimmed glasses, which had not been dusty, and behind the thin lenses were a pair of eyes that seemed to have no emotion.
Under Sean's slightly uneasy gaze, Heidi carried the small box in her arms and followed Nigel to a hidden place not far away.
"So now, dear, do you do it yourself or let me do it myself? Which do you prefer? β
"If you don't mind, I'd like to use a little thing first, you're going to absolutely love it."
Heidi's voice was still as cold as machinery, but that was exactly the tone Nigel liked.
And props to add to the fun? Nigel's interest was even greater.
Nigel, a high-level supernatural who was extremely vigilant, watched as Heidi elegantly opened the small metal box in his arms and took out a small steel ball.
It was so unremarkable, and it didn't seem to have anything special except for the silvery sheen that surprised Nigel slightly.
In Heidi's jade-carved palm, the tiny metal beads deformed as quickly as liquid, and in the blink of an eye, they had turned into a metal scorpion with a pointed scorpion tail and a flowing silver liquid luster.
The metal scorpion roared silently at Nigel, quickly leaping from Heidi's palm onto the other's shoulder, crawling down the neck to Nigel's face and burrowing through his ears.
Nigel stood there stunned the whole time, not even the excited expression on his face.
"Actually, I'm familiar enough with the brains of high-level supernatural beings, so I should review it again."
Heidi had somehow developed a small, delicate blade in her hand, her slender fingers fitting perfectly with the scalpel that the surgeon usually held in his hand.
Nigel's hard skull cracked open from within, revealing the brain encased in a thin silvery metal membrane that had severed all the blood vessels connected to the brain, but the nerves in the brain had not been damaged in the slightest.
Heidi crouched down and expertly extended the blade in her hand to the soft brain tissue.
Sean felt that Nigel was a little reckless, the wilderness is not a good place for ***, if the harvest is rich enough this time, there will be enough women waiting for him.
Of course, the woman's delicate face, as well as her cold and unsmiling expression, should also be one of the reasons for Nigel's gaffe.
Some people like to be enthusiastic and unrestrained, and some people like cold and subtle.
Sean saw Heidi's coldness as an alternative subtlety, and he still thought so until Heidi sat down next to him.
"Sir Sean, your retainer has abandoned you, and you still have a minute to consider whether to pursue him or follow me."
Heidi's words were slow, so slow that Sean seemed to have time to look at the reddish-brown dirt on both of her heels.
The dirt pattern on both shoes is identical.
"Beautiful lady, it would be a great honor for Sean to obey your orders compared to that foolish Nigel! I don't know what you command? β
Nigel's long absence has shown that Sean would not be naΓ―ve enough to think that his followers were delayed by smoking aftermath.
"I need to find that mob that's old enough, you should have seen it. My patience is not very good, Mr. Sean, how long do you think it will take to find it? If it's been too long, I might think you're not fit for the job. β
She's looking for the mob chief! She's the new discursor of the Cadivan family! That madman!
There weren't many people in the wilderness who were interested in mobs, and from Heidi's clothes and the silver box in her arms, Sean quickly identified the other party.
"Your Excellency Heidi Cadivin, your vision is so good, I am definitely the best person to find that old chief! Because I've captured it before! Give me a week, no! Three days! It only took me three days to find it! β
Sean suddenly realized that he was only allowing himself to find the hateful old mob, not capture it, and cut the time needed by more than half.
"I hope we have a good time working together, Lord Sean. I'll pay you enough, but for now, can you take this first? β
Sean looked at the small metal ball in the palm of the other party's hand, and took it with a trembling hand. Although the other party used a negotiating tone, he did not feel that he had the right to refuse.
In contrast to Sean, Chief Abner Sotos believes he has the right to refuse.
The chattering chief refuses to leave the H913 colony for the Alik base. The reason is simple: the great Abner Sothos could not have left the believers who bathed in his glory and left alone.
The glory of the chieftain, his irritating chatter, had been bathed by almost all the inhabitants of the settlement.
Panis was embarrassed, she had considered moving all the inhabitants of the colony to Alik, and the Alik base had enough space to accommodate these poor residents.
But Panis doesn't want to bring the mutation into Alik because of her kindness. Alik was bought by Lowe with her life, and she valued Alik as precious as the glory of a mercenary.
"Uncle Abner, we can take most of your followers to Alik, but those with mutated organizations, we can only give up!"
Panis can't remember the first time she's spoken to the chief.
"Dear Lord Panis, you still have a deep fear and aversion to mutations. Every one of my people has mutated groups, and some have even lost their consciousness, but the benevolent Abner Sotos has not given up on them. β
Panis, of course, remembered that the mob with the heavily mutated group had saved the H913 colony, and she couldn't convince the chief, so she had to try to convince herself.
It was at this time that Lowe returned to the H913 gathering place.
Lowe's communication with the chief was simple and receptive to the chief.
A high-level genetic potion, in exchange for a believer with a mutated organization in his body, has the right to enter Alik, and he can be credited for a short time!
The Chief's abilities seem to be working again, and Lo just gives the Chief a small excuse to get back to his old business.
For the bishop who is believed in by the believers is not allowed to do the dirty theft again, but it is acceptable to do it once in a while in order for every believer to have the right to enter the good kingdom.
And so, under Panis's disdainful gaze, the chieftain holding the lamb was the first to step into the large transport van bound for Alik's base.
Oh, almost forgot about this lovely lamb. On the pretext that Alik did not allow mutant animals to enter, Lo asked the chief to pay for three high-level potions in exchange for permanent residency for the poor life.
