XLIX. Sun bless
All in all, it sounds like a headache and a bad prospect.
I said to everybody, "Just be careful, they can't know what we're going to do, so it's a mess, we're just going to start the rockets, and once the sun is released, they're done." β
Leon nodded, "That's the truth. Then he said to Kimpoli, "We move." β
Kimpoli led us another kilometer or so, and the neighborhood looked like a station, and we emptied a building with a shop and a lot of food and water, all of which had not expired. Everyone smiled with satisfaction, tore open the package, enjoyed the rare delicacy, and chewed some of the fried food to a clattering sound.
Leon said, "Sun bless, rest here." He said this with a very reverent demeanor.
I don't feel comfortable with that, just as I heard "All are king." I said, "You are from outside, and you should know that the outside world is destroyed by the sun." β
"It seems so," Leon said. β
I stared at him and asked, "So the question is, how did you get away with it?" β
"Luckily," Leon said, "I happened to be in prison and didn't get caught by the sun." And when the guys came in, I was lucky enough to detect it in advance. β
I asked, "Have you been hunted by those infected by the sun?" β
Leon replied, "Yes." At this, he shook his head and smiled bitterly.
"What are you laughing at?"
Leon put away his smile, a sad and relieved look on his face, and said, "They are so noisy that my head is about to burst." β
I felt the same and smiled, "Isn't it? "He and I are both survivors of the Sun King, which adds an extra layer of connection to us, so I think he has a lot of excuses.
Even I, of all the fears I've experienced in my life, have been most fond of the soul-torturing song of the Sun King. It almost drove me crazy, or maybe it did, or if it didn't, I probably wouldn't have been caught by the madness net.
I saw Leon drinking coffee, so I opened a bottle and asked, "How did you get away with the Sun King?" They were notoriously stalking, and I was almost trapped to death by it. β
"I watched as the rest of the prisoners were absorbed by the mass of pΓ’tΓ©, and the warden, the guards, the nurses, the cooks, and the prisoners became pΓ’tΓ©, and one by one they came to life, singing songs and approaching me," Leon said. I climbed up the ventilation duct, and kept climbing, and kept running, and ran away, and escaped to the outside of the prison, and above my head was a full moon, and the moon was very bright and very new. Suddenly, the moonlight changed, and there was something out of it that I couldn't see exactly, but I could feel it. β
I wondered, "Has the moon changed?" β
"Yes," said Leon, "it seems to be brighter and darker. I heard the monsters screaming, no more singing, no more shouting, no more preaching, no more crying, and I fled without looking back. I found a helicopter and flew towards a place where there was no sun, towards the vast smoke, which was London, but when I got close to London, all the instruments went out of control, the plane crashed, and I was burned in the aether, maybe that's why I gained this power. After that, I was found by the scavengers of the Black Mansions. β
That being said, the moon wasn't inherently harmful to the sun's infected, and like the sun, it underwent some kind of mutation to stop these monsters.
I sighed, "Thankfully, it's all gone." β
"Yes, the world is pure."
I laughed out loud and held up the bottle, and Leon touched his bottle with me, and we drank our coffee.
I asked, "How do you know that the sun is harmless now?" What if it could still turn people into solar infectors? β
Leon pointed at me and said, "You are the best proof that the sun has returned to normal." β
I said, "How did you judge before you met us?" β
Leon looked up at the darkness and said, "I've done some analysis, and by chance, some sunlight shines on the ground through the clouds, and by analyzing it, I think it's safe." β
Human beings are destined by nature to find hope in despair.
"So, let's live and save humanity, because we've seen the world come to an end," Leon said. β
I wasn't as noble as he said, I just wanted to climb up at first, but when I climbed high enough, my spirit was sublimated, I had new ideals, I wanted to be a hero to be worshipped by all, so I started doing good deeds and started building my kingdom.
Until Longley Helsing almost destroyed my dreams.
Leon said, "It's night, put out the flames." We rested until dawn. β
I asked, "What about your claustrophobia?" β
"It's not underground," Leon said. β
The only thing I don't understand is why he still has a devotion to the sun, but the world of human spirits is so strange that no one can say. Probably because he was frightened in prison, he couldn't blame the sun for those "pupas", but on the darkness.
Demons walk around the house, and I think they are like playful urchins who can get into trouble if they're not carefulβlike slamming into our doors. Domingo, the iron god, made a large metal plate and blocked the door, and a few termites pushed and shoved like drunks struggling around, but finally gave up.
Over the next two days, Kim Porly moved ten more times. On one occasion, we were able to burrow into the encirclement of demons, but luckily we were able to kill them all quickly, and the smoke released by the god of mist allowed us to escape. The hunters are becoming more and more skilled in cooperating, and everyone is getting significantly stronger. Leon's personality has also improved greatly and he has become a little easier to get along with, but he must not be allowed to enter the sewers, or he will lose control again.
I sensed myself getting closer to another of Mokkawi's bones, an errand that had to be done, and for that I had to go alone for a while.
In the evening I said to them, "I am going out, don't come to me, take care of me, and I will be back soon." β
Mandarogo asked, "What's the matter?" β
I took some food and said, "I have what I'm looking for." β
Lamia picked up Kungunir and walked over to me, and I took her hand.
Leon hurriedly said: "It's really loose, what do you think this place is?" Our primary goal is to find and launch Newton's rockets, and when the sun returns, you can explore and hunt for whatever treasure you want. It's less than three kilometers away from the square, so don't make any extrasistine! β
I've considered coming back later, but we'll have to get back to Cry as soon as possible, and that's not too late.
I said, "We have to go." β
Leon said, "Mandarogo! Elrez! Help me convince him to stay! β
Elrez laughed and said, "I can't do that." β
"All we have to do is wait for him to come back, and if he doesn't, it's not too late for us to act," Mandarogo said. So far, so good, so don't worry too much. β
Leon clenched his hands and pinched his fingertips white, but finally gave up.
Now that they were hiding in a clothing store, Lamia and I were out of the store, there were no demons outside, and the aether was relatively thin due to its distance from the Aether Sea. I shrouded me and Lamia in the shadows and moved into the shadows.
Lamia asked, "What important are you looking for?" β
I said, "It's a dead man's bone." β
Lamia frowned and asked, "What's the use of that?" β
I said, "First of all, it can cure my madness and make me behave normally." β
Lamia laughed, "Really? No wonder you've been serious lately, I thought you had been dropped. β
I felt that Lamia was clearly seducing me, but just as I reached out, she nearly broke my bones.
Lamia said, "Are you aware of it?" β
I rubbed my fingers and wondered, "What do you notice?" β
Lamia said: "When Leon talks to you, his expression is unnatural. β
I carefully recalled the change in Leon's expression, and said in amazement: "Where? β
Lamia: "Yes, there's nothing wrong with his expression, but it's all fake, he's lying, I'm not sure what parts of his words are lying, maybe all of them are lying." β
"On what basis do you judge?"
Lamia: "For example, if he wants to make an excited expression, the muscles in his face will change, and this expression will be formed, but his muscles will move too fast, and often before he says that sentence, the expression is already in place, that is, his emotions are faster than his thinking, which is very unusual." β
I never expected my wife to be a sophisticated polygrapher, and it made me feel weak.
I laughed dryly, "Really? Could you be mistaken? β
Lamia said, "No, for example, your current smile is fake. β
I hurriedly covered my face and said, "Isn't this normal?" Leon wasn't a normal person, he had been tortured by the Sun King just like me. What does that idiom come about? Forced smile, yes, he is forced to laugh. β
Lamia: "Maybe, anyway, what he told you should be discounted." β
I asked, "Didn't he really want to implement the Clear Sky Project?" β
"This part is true, he's not lying, he's in a hurry to get the skies clearer than anyone else," Lamia said. But the signs of his fabrication about his past are clearly visible. β
If Lamia is not wrong, what is Leon's lie?
But people will lie, they will hide, maybe his past is too tragic, so he doesn't want anyone to know. Am I going to tell Lamia about my visit to the Ranger Academy to check for contraband? Apparently not, no! You can't think about this now, so as not to show your face...
Could it be that Leon was a follower of the Sun King? It's like the Tony of Ochid and the Pan-American Pyramid in the past.
Perhaps he hid the statue of the Sun King, wanted it to bask in the sun, and then began to assimilate all humans. But listening to what he said, it was not like that, he obviously knew the dangers of the Sun King.
Lamia nodded, "He clearly rejects the Sun-Infected, because he speaks of them with disgust, and he's not lying to anyone. β
"So is your facial lie detector technique accurate?"
Lamia said, "That's what Laca taught me." β
I didn't dare to question it, because I was like a spoiled daughter, and she had the right to withhold money from my black coffin at any time.
I continued in the direction of the remains of Mokkawi.
