Part 1 Chapter 5 Invasion
Various attacks caused brilliant explosions in the air, and countless fires lit up the sky as if it were day. When the smoke cleared, the terrifying reality once again hung over everyone in the city. These weapons, made by human technology, did not do even the slightest damage to that huge target in the air. A pale green hemispherical shield enveloped the entire shadow, and the explosion had failed to cause any damage.
The back of the huge black shadow suddenly began to brighten, and a turquoise light slowly emanated from the tree-like tissue at the back end of the black shadow. By its own light, humans could barely see it for what it really wasโit was a terrifyingly large triangular object that looked almost a tenth the size of a city, and it was a spaceship.
Before the humans could react, the green light at the tail end of the spaceship had reached the extreme, and in an instant, countless pillars of turquoise light shot out from the tree-like organization, and the location of the pillar of light was just the place where Fang had launched an attack in the sky.
The defenses that humans can build are completely different from one level, and wherever the pillar of light goes, buildings are reduced to flying ash in a matter of seconds, and this energy destroys almost everything it touches. The illusions that humanity still had about its own armed forces had been completely destroyed. Under attack of this magnitude, human resistance is almost futile.
In just a few minutes, the entire city turned into hell, the military power of the human race had no effect, countless humans ran on the streets, the city was full of fires and explosions, the transportation system was almost completely paralyzed, and the signals composed of various electromagnetic waves seemed to disappear out of thin air without any reaction. In the face of this attack made of pure energy, humans are like ants, fleeing frantically with only their own instincts.
The pillar of light lasted only about a minute before disappearing without a trace, but the ship's green light did not weaken in the slightest. Before the humans could carry out a second round of counterattacks, the green light of the ship was once again flourishing.
This time, countless black dots were sprinkled from the sky. If the humans were lucky enough to see the creatures that were killed by Jia'er a few days ago, they would be surprised to find that the objects that fell from the sky this time were countless humanoid creatures, but this time it was not only humanoids, but also about one-fifth of the giant creatures that were three to four meters tall, and a small number of super-large creatures that reached ten meters in size. Without exception, these creatures are clad in black armor that completely covers their bodies without hindering their movements. It seems that the spaceship did not mean to destroy the entire city, but released countless special species to wipe out the humans in the city.
Jia'er sat on the wall of the building, staring blankly at what was happening in the city. The black creatures in the air were slowly descending, and at this speed no more than ten seconds, they would descend to the ground. These heavily armed monsters fell to the ground, contemplating on their toes what would happen to unsuspecting humans.
Han Kun stood behind Jia'er, and the cold wind blew the corners of his clothes to hunt.
"Jia'er, do it."
The four words that Han Kun spat out of his mouth seemed to activate Jia'er's switch.
A stream of energy so strong that it distorted the space overflowed from Jia'er's body, and just the little energy that overflowed caused the cement within two meters of Jia'er's vicinity to turn into ashes. Jia'er's eyes shone crimson, and she seemed to be trying to control this terrifying amount of energy.
Just when those creatures were only about a hundred meters above the ground. The space beneath them became extremely unstable. In an instant, countless cracks were torn out of the space, and a breath without the slightest life burst out from the countless cracks, and terrifying existences drilled out of the cracks.
If the creatures that descend from the sky are compared to the number of cows, then the monsters that emerge from the cracks can only be described as many as stars.
There are roughly two kinds of monsters that emerge from the cracks, one is only about a meter in size, like ants magnified many times, they have a blue-gray body, two pairs of claws in the shape of a spear, their feet do not look much different from humans, their heads have huge jaws like soldiers, and there are a small amount of blue-gray short hairs on the surface of their bodies. The other is about two and a half meters in size, and this monster looks like a warrior of the ancient Warring States period, except that they don't have hands, instead they have a sharp blade and a shield. The monster's color is more vivid than the former, their blades are completely dark red, and the body is iron-blue, with a metallic sheen on the surface, which is obviously more lethal than the former, but it is much heavier.
"These things, are they golems??"
Only a small number of black creatures recognized the sudden appearance of the monsters, but to their surprise, they were ready to shoot, and there was no doubt that these monsters had come out to stop their attack.
The flames of war ignited in the city in an instant. The two forces are incompatible, and they began to fight at the first moment they met.
Han Kun jumped forward suddenly and caught Jia'er who was about to fall in the air, he took out one hand and grabbed the wall backhand at the moment he hugged Jia'er, as if he grabbed the wall in the air, the two of them changed their bodies and quickly flew towards the wall, fortunately, the lower side of the building was almost composed of glass curtain walls, and the two of them crashed into the room in the glass, bringing up a burst of glass shards but they were not scratched.
Jia'er seemed to lose consciousness, and her eyes became much darker, and it seemed that the action just now had taken a lot of toll on her. The walls were lit but empty, and the people on the top floor had fled as soon as the alarm went off. There were a lot of tables and chairs scattered in the room, Han Kun didn't have time to care about these at the moment, he stood in front of the big hole that he had just hit out with Jia'er in his arms, looking down at everything that was happening on the ground.
"Damn, where did these things come from!"
"Miscellaneous, die!"
The city instantly turned into a battlefield, and some of the invaders were mercilessly intercepted in the air, and because they could not dodge in the air, the puppets attacked them with huge casualties in the first place. Fortunately, after landing, the intruders quickly formed their own squads, but no matter which team landed, they were immediately targeted and were attacked extremely strongly. Those two monsters are lifeless puppets with a fighting instinct. Because of this, they can cause great trouble to intruders due to their superior hardness and high mobility. Despite their black armor wrapping, the kind of armor that could withstand the impact of falling from a height of several kilometers was not much of an advantage in front of this kind of golem, the kind of golem with a dark red blade could almost kill them with a single blow, and the metal armor was like a joke. In addition, they also have to defend against another extremely fast puppet to sneak attack from various unexpected angles, although each time it can't cause much damage, but the speed of that puppet can be instantly increased to the speed of sound, and every sneak attack is invincible, but this kind of puppet is almost directly scrapped under the blow of those three or four meters tall big guys. The giants who were ten meters above were carrying weapons, and several puppets were damaged in almost one move, and it was difficult for the puppets to attack their vital points.
Under the violent attrition of both sides, although the number of golems consumed is far greater than the number of intruders killed, those golems have a crushing numerical advantage after all, and the golems are a kind of lifeless consumables, and the invaders are all living flesh, this disadvantage almost makes the commanders on the ship crazy. They had hoped to take the city in one fell swoop, but they didn't expect to be met with such a strong counterattack.
Woo!! A muffled horn sounded from the ship, and upon hearing the sound, countless intruders flew into the sky at the same time, apparently even helping them fly with armor. But this kind of flight does not seem to last long, otherwise it would have been directly launched in the air from the beginning. At the same time, the tail end of the spacecraft was full of green light, and countless pillars of light were launched again, but this time the pillars of light were not lethal, and the pillars of light sprinkled on the intruders instantly recycled them into the spaceship.
There was no doubt that they were beginning to retreat, and when they saw that they could not kill the humans in the city in the first place, they chose to retreat.
"Are you awake?"
Looking at Jia'er, who opened her eyes in her arms, Han Kun asked softly.
Jia'er snorted softly, her scarlet eyes were much darker at the moment, and it seemed that it was already her limit to be able to summon so many golems.
"It's not bad, I'll take care of the rest, and for that, I need to borrow your energy."
Jia'er didn't answer, just shifted her gaze to the end of the spaceship in the sky. The turquoise tree-like tissue was still glowing strangely. It looks like the tree-like part is the most important part of the entire ship.
"Are you, going to destroy that?"
"Hmm. After I'm done using it, you'll probably be asleep for a while. โ
Han Kun slowly took a step forward, he stepped into the air, but it was as if he was walking on flat ground, and his body did not fall.
At this rate, in less than two minutes, all the invading creatures will be back inside the ship. Han Kun hugged Jia'er with his left hand, and the two of them were suspended in the air. An extremely strong energy was released from Jia'er's body, but this time it was not actively controlled by herself.
In an instant, the energy formed a vortex of energy in the air, and the clouds in the sky began to slowly rotate around this vortex. In a matter of seconds, the building was blown away by the strong pressure, breaking in two, and slamming the other into the ground.
By the time the intruders discovered the mutation, it was too late, and an energy that made them shudder crept into the air. This energy absorption took nearly half a minute or so to reach a threshold. Han Kun's right hand was slowly raised to the sky, his face was very solemn, as long as there was a slight mistake in this step, he and Jia'er would instantly turn into ashes.
"Condensation!"
The energy vortex converged on Han Kun's palm at a speed visible to the naked eye, and after stopping its expansion, it suddenly contracted into two air currents, one green and one red, circling and twisting together, forming a one-meter-long entity, condensed into a sharp blade.
