Chapter 12: A Trip to Frankfurt
In the blink of an eye, the summer vacation has arrived.
This summer, the school organized students to voluntarily sign up for a youth travel summer camp in Frankfurt, Germany.
Jingjing and Dongdong both signed up, and Anne wanted to go too, so she went home to discuss with her mother.
When I went home at noon that day, Anne and her mother were eating in the community cafeteria, and Anne said: "Mom, our school has signed up for the Frankfurt summer camp this summer, Wang Jingjing and Liu Dongdong have both signed up, and I want to go too."
Mom lowered her head to eat, without raising her head, and asked, "How long will it take?"
Anne replied, "15 days"
After speaking, her mother didn't speak, Anne thought to herself, it's over, the meal is not salty or light, and the ribs that Anne loves to eat are tasteless at the moment.
After eating, my mother took out a small mirror from her bag and touched up the lipstick.
I saw the sullen Anne in the mirror, and said: "If you want to go to the summer camp, you can go, it just so happens that your cousin is also in Frankfurt, you can just go to see your cousin, you go to sign up in the afternoon, and the registration fee Mom will take the time to send it to the school tomorrow to the teacher."
Anne looked up suddenly, as if she had been reborn, looked at her mother carefully depicting her lipstick, and said casually: "Mom, you are so beautiful, and today's lipstick is also beautiful."
Mom smiled and narrowed her eyes into a slit, and said: "Don't shoot on the back, let your mother pay for the matter, you are the best at blowing rainbow farts, blowing and blowing, and your mother's 3-month bonus salary will be blown away for you."
The night before going to the summer camp, Anne couldn't sleep excitedly, and her mother came in and explained: "Safety first when you go out, follow the teacher, don't run around alone, follow the teacher team at any time, you can't leave a step, if you are obedient, every year the summer camp mom will let you go, mom is usually too busy, too little time to accompany you, you have to be obedient, mom is not by your side to take care of yourself, even if we usually save a little, every year the summer camp mom strives to let you participate, go out to see more is good for you."
Anne was flattered when she sat on the bed, her mother rarely spoke to Anne so tenderly and sweetly, Anne's heart was as sweet as honey, her mother still loved herself very much, she was just too busy with work.
Anne's mother works as an engineer in a state-owned enterprise, and often works overtime or travels all year round.
In fact, Mom is very hard, and she is not easy, although the work is very hard, Mom would rather spend 3-4 months' salary to let Anne participate in the summer camp, Anne thought to herself in her heart.
On July 5, half of the afternoon Berlin time, the flight from Yanjing to Frankfurt landed smoothly at the airport on time, and people gathered to greet relatives and friends at the customs inspection exit of the Frankfurt airport hall.
A group of 20 students, under the leadership of the teacher, wore a little yellow hat, and walked out with the passengers, Anne only carried a big schoolbag at any time, which was not like coming to Frankfurt summer camp, but more like coming home from school.
Faced with an aunt in a khaki trench coat and holding a large sign in her hand, she stood not far from the crowd, quietly watching the passengers who came out one after another.
When I walked in, I saw that the aunt in the trench coat had a face so delicate that it was impossible to judge the age, as if it was a work of art created by an oil painting master.
She wore a Burberry khaki trench coat, a pair of black slip-on high heels, her hair tied into a high ponytail, her eyes were full of aura and confidence, and she exuded a shrewd and capable temperament, which is typical of white-collar women.
The teacher who led the team took a few steps to meet and shouted affectionately to the aunt in the windbreaker who was watching while walking: "Teacher Tang!"
Teacher Tang walked quickly when he heard the sound, and shouted excitedly, "Teacher Li!"
The two shook hands cordially, and Mr. Tang said, "I came to pick you up, I'm nervous, and I'm worried that you won't find me?" Mostly with so many children, no. β
Teacher Li looked at her in surprise and said, "How come? Didn't we watch the video on the Internet so many times that I recognized you from afar. β
Teacher Li and Teacher Tang led us out of the hall and towards the parking lot. Got into a yellow bus.
After getting on the bus, Annie, Jingjing, Dongdong, and Guo Jing sat together in two rows of front and back seats, and Teacher Li and Teacher Tang carefully checked whether each student's seat belts were fastened, and the car set off and drove out of Frankfurt Airport.
Frankfurt is not only the transportation hub of Europe and the center of German finance and technology, but also a famous tourist destination, such as the Goethe House, the Paul's Church, the Old Opera House, ...... This makes the city full of diverse charm. The south bank of the Rhine has long been known for eating, drinking and dancing, and the romance of the Rhine is dotted with small hotels with a relaxed atmosphere and a wide variety of styles.
On my first night in Frankfurt, I met three of my roommates, from Egypt, Russia and CΓ΄te d'Ivoire, whose native speakers are Arabic, Russian and French. In the days that followed, we often mixed German with English, which we were not fluent in, trying to communicate, discuss, get acquainted with each other, and tolerate each other's cultural differences.
The National Night was also marked by the passionate dancing from Madagascar, the moving singing from Russia and, of course, the deep pride of performing in front of the five-star red flag with the Chinese partners.
Whenever someone celebrates a birthday, each country sings a happy birthday song in its own language, with different lyrics with the same tune and the same sincere wishes.
Every night, when everyone sings "International" together, you really feel the deep meaning of the word. Although we come from different parts of the world, speak different languages, and perhaps have different skin colors and different living environments, we have a cross-cultural exchange. We are all chasing our dreams with our own efforts. On the world stage, regardless of country or race, everyone's dream comes together and becomes our world dream!
This summer, I joined 68 students from 12 countries to listen to the world in Frankfurt.
The first time I walked on the banks of the River Main, the sky was a deep blue, the sun was shining on my body, looking at the people who were cycling, running, walking their dogs by the river, listening to the laughter in different languages, and my body and mind were relaxed for a long time.
Walking through the streets, on bridges, roads, and walls, you can see all kinds of graffiti everywhere; At night, the streets are still brightly lit and full of traffic, with music, singing, and cheers.
One afternoon a week later, we had the pleasure of watching a Bundesliga match. Before the game began, there were people on both sides of the road sipping beer, excited and looking forward to it. Men and women, young and old, everyone cheers for the football they love and the players they love.
The city, which often wakes up from its sleep when the sun is completely covering the earth, begins to exude enthusiasm and energy, and does not fall asleep until late at night. Open, inclusive, free and organized, this is Frankfurt!
