Chapter 1 Wake up
Restless scenes alternated in my mind, as if awake and unconscious, and a mist of fantastic dreams enveloped me, and my shattered and vague consciousness sometimes wandered in the dense forest, sometimes in the waves.
But in the fluttering of thoughts, I can always feel a pair of sharp and cold eyes, sharp and cone piercing into my spinal cord. As the dream changed, this strange gaze gradually got closer and closer to me, closer and closer...... Finally, in the midst of trembling with fear, I woke up.
The feeling of uneasiness was swept away, and I naturally opened my eyes, and the bright light instantly took over the sockets. I took a deep breath, the satisfaction of oxygen molecules filling every alveoli that made me wonder if I had never breathed before. As the organs are moistened by fresh air, they begin to dutifully perceive everything around them.
The first thing to regain was the sense of touch, a chill coming from the left side of my face, as if something hard, cold was pressing close to it, and with a wonderful feeling of vertigo, I felt the presence of gravity again. Eventually, the blurred patches of color in my vision became clearer and the details became richer, and I blinked my eyes hard, and when I opened them again, the true face of this strange world was completely revealed in front of my eyes.
"Ahem..."
I coughed lightly, stirring up a small cloud of dust.
Now I finally understand that I was lying on the ground upright.
"It's... How..."
I rolled over with all my strength, and although it was only a trivial movement, my forehead was already covered with fine beads of sweat.
Sunlight pours down through the huge holes in the ceiling, and broken steel bars and crumbling concrete building materials are clearly visible. I turned my head to the left, and the shelves were neatly arranged together, and I couldn't see the edge. I was anxious about such a grand scene, and what made me even more confused and panicked was that I had no impression of this place, including how I got here and what had happened here.
"Terrorist attack..."
I struggled to find an explanation as I turned my head to look in the other direction. Just when I thought that the right side was also part of the warehouse, I saw a scene that made my scalp tingle, and it was a person! With a stubble, haggard, unfamiliar face!
The tip of my nose was almost attached to him, and the cold touch spread from my cheeks all the way to my back. On that face, a pair of red eyes were staring at me, and my heart felt like it had been pinched.
"! What's the situation?"
A chill welled up in my stomach, and I opened my mouth, and a foul smell gushed out,
"Who are you—"
But before I could finish the word, I froze, for I found that the man, too, was lying on the ground with his mouth open, looking at me with the same astonishment.
As I gazed, the expression on that face gradually became hideous, and a terrifying thought flashed through me, piercing my unclear consciousness,
"Impossible, impossible, impossible, no..."
I muttered to myself as I raised my arm tremblingly, and stretched out my index finger to reach out to the man, who slowly reached out a finger to me. I could already guess what was going to happen next, the cold air rushing in and out of my lungs, my torso trembling violently with tension, and it took me nearly a minute to be less than ten centimeters away.
Finally, stopping at a distance of a few millimeters, I spread my palms and pressed against the surface I touched, cold enough to frostbite.
That's a mirror.
"Mirror...... It's really a mirror. ”
My previous unbelievable speculation was finally confirmed, and I quickly withdrew my hand back on my face like an electric shock, the chill in my palm still not subsided, and the corners of my mouth twitched in the mirror.
I raised my hand and stroked a few furrows next to my cheekbones,
"Who is this... I, who am I? Who am I? ”
I turned my head stiffly, my expression twisted strangely, for now I was faced with a truth far more terrible than not knowing where I was.
"Who am I?!"
I suddenly turned around and yelled at the shelves in the distance, and sure enough, it was an unfamiliar voice that had never been heard in my ears before.
Wait, what else do I know? I held my head and bared my teeth as if it would help improve my memory. But after a long time, when I put down my hand, I could only smile bitterly, because I had found nothing.
My mind was really empty, and all the memories of "me" were not even a single star. I was suddenly a little scared to turn around and see that face again, but what else could I do? What I need now is a clue!
I gritted my teeth and turned my head slowly. However, this time, nothing appeared in the corner of my eye, I was startled, and I turned my head away, and a series of clicking sounds sounded around my neck,
"No, it's gone..."
The mirror, which was still clinging to me just a moment ago, disappeared into thin air, and all that was left in front of me was a white wall.
I froze, and then my teeth began to bark wildly, if human fear comes from the unknown, then I can now say that I am terrified to the extreme, although there is no one around, but I still dare not even come out of the atmosphere.
Before I could fully recover my senses, the walls around me suddenly began to shake violently, and gravel kept falling from the openings above me.
Without thinking about it, I jumped up on all fours and leaned against the wall, and after a quick glance, a glass door appeared in front of my eyes - this is indeed a shopping mall! I was overjoyed, but the earthquake was even more intense. Not daring to slack off in the slightest, I moved towards the door.
Something huge fell behind me, and the sound of metal shelves colliding with each other was incessant, and I rushed to the door without looking back and pushed the door open, but I accidentally tripped over the raised steps and rolled forward for a few meters before stopping.
The moment I escaped from the mall, the earthquake stopped abruptly, and I finally had time to catch my breath.
But when I looked back and tried to figure out what had happened, what I saw was not a shopping mall, but a ruin, a ruin that had been deserted for a long time and could not be seen in any shape.
I shook a few times, stood up, looked at the ruins in the distance, and the corners of my mouth quirmed, not knowing what to say. The wind blew and blew away my bangs, and from waking up to now, I have seen too many incomprehensible scenes one after another,
"Okay, that's it, what else can you do......"
I nodded, feeling a hint of desolation in the air.
Just when I put my hands in my pockets and wanted to cooperate in a literary and sad pose, I found that there seemed to be something heavy inside. I pulled my hand out, and a metal ball and a note with crooked words written on it lay in the palm of my hand.
The metal ball has a mysterious pattern, and I don't know where it came from. Unfolding the crumpled and slightly crumpled note, the bright red handwriting on it was a little illegible in the sunlight, I brought it to my eyes and squinted silently as I read the scribbled words on it:
"Don't trust them!"
"'They'? They are referring to ......"
But before I could figure it out, a pair of powerful hands clamped my shoulders violently! The huge force directly pressed me to my knees! Instinctively, I quickly slipped the metal balls and notes into my pocket. Almost at the same time, a heavy voice rang in my ear:
"Say! What are you?"
