Chapter 050: Vernacular Poetry Empty Heart

When a belief is abandoned,

The greatest pain in the depths of the soul is emptiness.

When an ideal is replaced,

The most lucid call in a dream is emptiness,

When a quest is abandoned,

The vitality that life exudes is emptiness.

He who has become empty,

Those who are about to be made empty,

They all suffer from emptiness in the same way,

The torment of the bleakest emptiness of life.

Desire is endless,

Desires are hard to satisfy,

When emptiness transforms into desire,

Reason has become worthless,

Or even replaced by something that shouldn't be.

There is no emptiness in life,

For there is darkness, and there are corners that are not light,

So there is inevitably emptiness.

Avoid the red dust and look at the quiet world,

As if seeing the smile of the Buddha beckoning,

Red dust, red dust can't be,

With the crescent moon and bright lights,

Realize the truest philosophy in life - don't force it.
