Volume 1: The Collected Works of Yuan Pu The Legend of the Peach Blossom Mountain Serial Cave
Legend has it that the Peach Blossom Mountain and the surrounding circle of dozens of miles, all of them were endless wild peach trees, known as 10,000 acres of peach orchards. In this 10,000 acres of peach orchards, there are 18 villages of the original size, collectively known as the 18 villages of Taohua Mountain.
Even now, these villages here still basically retain their original names, called Yiyan Eighteen Peaches. And all along, this is the peach tree base of XX City, and today it has truly formed the scale of 10,000 acres of peach orchards.
The main peak of this Peach Blossom Mountain was originally called Peach Blossom Peak, and there is an unusually severe cliff after crossing Peach Blossom Peak, which is called Eagle's Beak Cliff because it looks very much like the side of a goshawk's head from a distance.
On this eagle's beak cliff, there is one of the most dangerous places, it is difficult for ordinary people to pass normally, and they must be extremely agile like an eagle harrier, and they can barely pass by constantly flipping and moving, so it is called a harrier turning over.
After the harrier turned over, it was time to arrive at the most famous attraction of Peach Blossom Mountain, Peach Blossom Cave.
It is said that in ancient times, this peach blossom cave, which can accommodate more than 100 people, also grew strange wild peach trees. Every time the peach blossoms are in full bloom, the peach blossoms in the peach blossom cave are surprisingly gorgeous, and the peaches are unusually large and sweet. Inside this peach blossom cave, there is also a life-size stone statue of the peach blossom fairy.
According to legend, the nine princesses of the Jade Emperor of the Heavenly Court went down to earth privately, and occasionally passed by this peach blossom mountain, and they were fascinated by the 10,000 acres of peach blossoms here.
I didn't want to be discovered by the Queen Mother later, and the punishment turned into a stone statue, so that she would stay in this Peach Blossom Island forever and never return to heaven. Therefore, this Peach Blossom Mountain was also called Nine Princess Mountain in the early days.
To this day, the stone statue of the Peach Blossom Fairy is still there, and every year there are still some believers under the mountain who take great risks to turn over through the dangerous harrier in the eagle's beak cliff and personally go to burn incense and make offerings to her.
And the old people here have always spread such a saying, that is, on the day of the beginning of spring every year: if the face of this peach blossom fairy stone statue is brilliant, then the peach tree under the mountain will have a bumper harvest this year; However, if the face of this stone statue is dull and colorless, then the peach trees under the mountain will be greatly reduced in size this year, or even extinct in production.
It is said that this statement is very effective. Some people even say that the earliest protective chains and the rock nest below where the harrier turned over were spontaneously built by the believers at the foot of the mountain in ancient times.
Moreover, to this day, the villagers who walk the eighteen peaches below do not like to have people outside turn over through the harrier and enter the peach blossom cave behind.
The reason is that they don't want outsiders to easily offend and desecrate the god in their minds, the Peach Blossom Fairy. It is said that it is only in recent decades that the villagers here have slowly let go of this attachment and no longer specifically exclude tourists from outside.
In addition, according to legend, under this peach blossom cave that can accommodate 100 people, there is also a secret chain of caves. It is said that this chain of caves is very large, and it is divided into many layers, and it can lead from the top of the mountain to a place far away.
But this is just a legend, no one has ever really found out where its entrance is, and it has only been regarded as a rumor for a long time.
But some old people in Yamashita Village don't think so, and they have always believed in the existence of this chain cave.
It is said that after Li Shimin, the king of Qin, fled to this peach blossom mountain in a panic at night, tens of thousands of horses from the people waiting for seven firmly besieged them. Fortunately, this Peach Blossom Mountain was easy to defend and difficult to attack, so they were able to take a breath and finally take advantage of the night to temporarily station.
But the next morning, before dawn, the men and horses under the mountain rushed up. Although the soldiers above are in danger of defending it, they can't stand the tens of thousands of people and horses taking turns to attack. In less than half a day, Hou Qi's men and horses rushed up and occupied the main peak, Peach Blossom Peak.
At the last critical moment, a guide who was temporarily caught in the local area before going up the mountain pointed out this "clear road" for Li Shimin.
It is said that at that time, there was no iron chain protection at the place where the eagle's beak harrier turned over. Except for some local people who are very skilled and familiar with the environment in the mountains, it is extremely difficult for ordinary people to pass safely.
Fortunately, the old farmer they caught temporarily before going up the mountain was a well-known local medicine picker, and it just so happened that he had safely traveled back and forth to this extremely dangerous place several times. At this time, he saw that Li Shimin's soldiers were almost dead and wounded, and if he didn't retreat into the peach blossom cave behind, he was afraid that the whole army would be wiped out.
He knows very well that he is now entangled in Li Shimin's army, and he is already inexplicable, as long as Li Shimin and them are finished, then he can only be sent to death together in a daze.
Therefore, at the last moment, he put his heart sideways, simply did not do anything, and directly took everyone to the Peach Blossom Cave for the time being. As for whether he will die or live after that, then he can't care so much about it, anyway, he can live for a while.
Seeing that his subordinates were getting fewer and fewer, and the reinforcements were nowhere to be seen, in desperation, Li Shimin could only temporarily follow the advice of this guide. With the remnants of more than 100 personal guards, they were ready to risk death to pass the harrier on the eagle's beak cliff to turn over, and temporarily retreat into the peach blossom cave behind.
It's just that most of the more than 100 personal guards under Li Shimin that day fell to death at least in the place where the harrier turned over, and in the end, less than 30 people were left to successfully retreat into the peach blossom cave behind.
But when he retreated to the peach blossom cave behind, there were tens of thousands of soldiers and horses in Hou Qikong, but they could only look at the "cliff" and sigh, and there was nothing to do. Because, although the mountain peak where this peach blossom cave is located is not large, it is full of cliffs on three sides, and is called "Wanzhang Cliff" by the locals.
The only remaining side is this extremely steep eagle's beak cliff, and the only thing that can be barely passed is the "plank road" of the rock wall that is more than 100 meters long on the Chaoyang side. The last section of the plank road is the legend of the extremely dangerous harrier turning over.
And at the end of this harrier turning over and approaching the Peach Blossom Cave, as long as one or two guards are specially arranged, and one guard is casually guarded, even if the other party has thousands of troops, it will be difficult to force through.
Even, even if there is no one to guard, it is difficult for ordinary soldiers to pass easily. You must know that most of the last elite dead soldiers under Li Shimin fell off the cliff alive and died, not to mention these rabble under Hou Qi.
When these people are in the wind, they can still flock to enjoy it, but once it comes to a critical juncture, when someone comes forward to fight hard, they will start to push me and pass the buck to each other.
Fortunately, they soon learned from the local villagers that although there is a spring water in this peach blossom cave all year round, there is nothing else to eat except for some wild peach trees.
Moreover, it was the twilight autumn season, and even if there were a few dried peaches inside, it was difficult to maintain the support of more than 30 people for long. In addition, although others could not attack from other places, Li Shimin and others would never be able to escape from other places.
In this way, Hou Qiyi left his own son, with a team of 3,000 elite men, and continued to stay on Peach Blossom Peak to trap Li Shimin's remnants. On the one hand, the governor led tens of thousands of troops under his command to lay several lines of defense around Taohua Mountain to strictly prevent Li Shimin's reinforcements from rushing to help.
At the same time, he also sent more than ten urgent fast horses in a row to report to the powerful giants in Shandong, Henan, and Huaibei around him for help, so that they could send capable soldiers and horses to help quickly, or try their best to block Li Shimin's reinforcements everywhere.
That's it, the two sides are here to spend it to see who can make it to the end. Whether Li Shimin and the others fell to the ground without a fight first, or did Hou Qi and them successfully resist the several reinforcements that Li Shimin was rushing to.
However, to Hou Qi's disappointment, his near-perfect three-way arrangement, in addition to his son's uncompromising execution on the mountain. Even if he personally supervised the leadership at the foot of the mountain, it didn't have much effect, and before he could wait for three days, the gang of rogue bandits under his command who had been improvised began to shake on their own.
Not to mention, the powerful giants around them who have their own ghosts are even more swaying and cowering, and in the end most of them choose to watch from the wall.
Even some of the surrounding powerful and powerful forces not only did not actively respond to the dispatch of troops to help, but also secretly released water and acquiesced in the passage of Li Shimin's reinforcement troops.
Because, they themselves knew that even if they were able to kill Li Shimin, the king of Qin, in one battle, it was only his Hou Qi's greatest credit, and it would not be of great benefit to others.
And after Hou Qi grows bigger, it is also a big threat to them, which is not what they really want to see.
Perhaps, this is the true psychology of those powerful giants at that time: if they want to support their own troops and divide one side, it is naturally necessary; But if they are asked to make wedding dresses for others, they will never be able to do it.
It was precisely because of this complex and subtle relationship that Qin Qiong and Cheng Yanjin were able to lead their headquarters to ride within seven days, first get rid of the entanglement of strong enemies from hundreds of miles away, and then rush all the way to this point.
In fact, at that time, the elite cavalry brought by the two was less than 5,000, and they galloped for a long time, and they were already sleepy and lost more than 1,000 horses all the way. According to normal logic, they are still far from being the opponents of Hou Qi's absolute superiority.
But who would have thought that in less than half a day's effort, Qin Qiong and Cheng Yanjin's men and horses would break through Hou Qi's several defense lines one after another, and defeat tens of thousands of people and horses under the mountain in one go.
In the end, it was the 3,000 elites stationed on Peach Blossom Peak, under the personal supervision of Hou Qi's son, who finally started a fight with Qin Qiong and their reinforcements, and fought a happy battle.
However, although they fought bravely and desperately resisted, and repelled the fierce charge of reinforcements several times, Hou Qi himself saw that the general trend had gone, but he had already secretly surrendered to protect himself.
In the end, Hou Qi completely ignored the dissuasion of his son and his generals, and personally surrendered to Qin Qiong with a white flag, and said that he took the initiative to give up the Peach Blossom Peak position.
After Hou Qi surrendered, most of his men followed suit, and they took the initiative to lay down their weapons and ran down the mountain to obediently become prisoners of others.
It's just that the son of Hou Qi is very backbone and swears not to surrender, and still leads his troops to resist stubbornly until the last soldier, and then he is captured.
At this point, all the bandits of the Houqi Department on Peach Blossom Mountain have been wiped out, and the danger of Li Shimin, the king of Qin, has finally survived. At this time, on the one hand, Qin Qiong asked Cheng Biting Jin to deploy defenses in all directions, appease the surrendered army, and strictly defend it; On the other hand, the king of Qin was sent to urgently recruit people from all walks of life to come to King Qin.
In the end, he personally led his soldiers with strong martial arts to risk turning over through the harrier of the eagle's beak cliff and rushed to the peach blossom cave to rescue Li Shimin, the king of Qin, who had long been dying, and the remnants of his own guards.
Fortunately, they arrived in time, and it is estimated that it will be a day or two at most, and I am afraid that they will have to meet the corpses of Li Shimin, the king of Qin.
After Li Shimin recovered his strength a little, in order to prevent long nights and dreams, he joined forces with the army that came to meet him under the escort of Qin Qiong and Cheng Yanjin, and withdrew his troops overnight and returned to the camp.
There is still such a local legend, saying that after the Qin King Li Shimin escaped from the Peach Blossom Cave, he saw that the soldiers he brought that day were almost all killed and wounded, even Qin Qiong's men were more than half of the casualties. He couldn't help but feel ashamed and ashamed, and in a fit of rage, he pulled out his sword and slashed it viciously at a huge rock standing on the top of the mountain.
Unexpectedly, this boulder was split in two by him, and then he flew up and kicked half of it off the top of the mountain, and at the same time threw his sword, which had been broken in two, into the back mountain. Then he asked Qin Qiong to use his tile surface four-edged gold ornament, and carved a big 'Du' character on the remaining half. ”
Regardless of the truth or falsity of this legend, but later this Peach Blossom Peak was called the Unicorn Peak. To this day, on the top of the Dujiao Peak, you can still see the boulder several meters high, and on the sliding plane towards the sun like an axe and sword, you can indeed vaguely see the big word 'Du'.
And this boulder was naturally given a resounding name by the later good deeds, called the King of Qin's Sword Test Stone, which has been passed down to this day.
The above is the legend of Peach Blossom Mountain, and the following is the legend of the chain of caves in Peach Blossom Mountain, and this legend is even earlier than the early Tang Dynasty.
It is said that in the third year of the early peace of the late Han Dynasty (192 AD), the main force of the Yellow Turban Army in Qingzhou surrendered unconditionally like Cao Cao. After surrendering, the Qingzhou Yellow Turban Army, including family members, totaled more than 1 million, and the strong ones were directly organized into an army, which was later the famous Qingzhou Army.
So many men and horses poured into Cao Cao's command at once, although in vain they increased his popularity and prestige.
However, at that time, Cao Cao did not have a solid base area, and the territory he actually controlled was very small, coupled with the perennial mobile warfare, so there was a serious lack of financial resources and poor supplies, so that he often struggled to make ends meet.
Just when Cao Cao had a big headache for the army's salary and military morale, one of his strategists stood up and offered a "clever plan".
This strategist is named Xi Zhicai, and later Guo Jia is known as Cao Cao's most relied on confidant strategist in the early days, with great talent and good strategy, and has made great contributions to the establishment of Cao Cao's early military and political affairs.
So much so that after his untimely death, Cao Cao sighed to another strategist, Xun Yu: "Since the death of (drama) Zhicai, there is no way to deal with the planner!" ”
The "clever plan" offered by Xi Zhicai is nothing else, it is to "borrow treasures" from the underground, which is actually to rob tombs to obtain wealth and subsidize military salaries.
Coincidentally, this Cao Cao, who was called "a traitorous male" by later generations, is the so-called person who "does not care about the details and does not give up small gifts".
He is a hero with the world in mind, as long as he can fill in the stomach of the soldier and have the capital to seek the world, he doesn't care about the "infamy" before and after him.
After hearing this, he immediately selected his henchmen, and also set up the official positions of "Faqiu Zhonglang General" and "Captain Touching Jin", and asked them to look around for those "famous" tombs, and openly excavate and steal them on a large scale.
Even, when he was digging the tomb of King Xiao of Han Liang, Cao Cao also came to guide and plunder treasures. It is said that this large tomb alone was enough for Cao Cao's military expenses for three years at that time.
However, due to the unstable foundation at the beginning of his construction, he had to personally lead the troops to fight outside all the year round. And the large amount of gold and silver property he stole was inconvenient to carry with him all day long, so as not to have many extraneous branches in the long night, so he privately discussed with Xi Zhicai and secretly found a place for temporary storage for long-term planning.
Coincidentally, Xi Zhicai accidentally learned about the existence of this Taohua Mountain Serial Cave in the early years, and knew that the space in this natural cave was very large, which was very suitable for transformation and utilization. Moreover, this was near Cao Cao's base camp at that time, and the basic conditions were stable and convenient for actual control.
In addition, the terrain of this Peach Blossom Mountain is dangerous, easy to defend and difficult to attack. So Cao Cao secretly ordered Xi Zhicai to lead tens of thousands of strong people to dig and expand the original chain hole, claiming to dig and excavate the Tibetan soldier cave.
In less than two years, Xi Zhicai basically completed the expansion of the Tibetan Soldier Cave. The whole Tibetan Soldier Cave comes in from the dark passage at the bottom of the Wanzhang Cliff Reservoir in the east, directly leads to the belly of the main peak Taohua Peak, and finally returns to the Taohua Cave.
The passage at both ends is not very wide, and it is tortuous and deep, but the main cave inside is very large, and it has been artificially expanded into a three-story cave according to the original natural cave. Each floor is the same as a relatively small shaft or inclined shaft, and the space gradually decreases from the bottom to the top.
According to the design of Xi Zhicai at that time, the top layer was dedicated to storing those rare treasures stolen from ancient tombs, and they were generally not used much. The second layer is used to store the ordinary gold and silver belongings in those ancient tombs, and they can be transported out at any time in case of emergency. The bottom layer is really used to store grain and grass for emergencies, but it is not easy to mix in normal times.
As for why there is no record of this Tibetan military cave in some documents later, it is estimated that only the real master here, Cao Cao, is the old man himself.
Later, for some reason, this cave disappeared out of thin air all of a sudden, and since then it has become a legend, and no one has really entered it again.
Until one day, in the Ming Dynasty, there was a cultivator with the Taoist number Yichen Taoist, and when he was traveling in Yandang Mountain, he overheard a pair of notorious "male and female demons" hidden nearby. Later, after careful inquiry, it turned out that they were just a pair of xenomorph blood snakes that had cultivated to perfection here.
The pair of blood snakes had been practicing hard for hundreds of years earlier, and then by chance, they accidentally ate the extremely rare poisonous herb - the Blood Demon Flower, and suddenly became a demon with powerful spells. After they metamorphosed into demons, they often took on human form and went around doing evil.
They have a ferocious temperament, and they are especially fond of taking young boys and girls by taking them by force, sucking their essence and blood, and practicing their magical skills. On weekdays, it still turns into a blood snake and hides among the mountains of Yandang Mountain.
Because of their high magic skills and their ability to conceal, many decent people who came to subdue them when they heard the news were mostly in vain. Sometimes, they even put their lives on the line in vain and were sucked up by them and died.
When this Yichen Dao man heard this, he was immediately furious, and immediately made up his mind to get rid of their "male and female demons", so that the people in this area could get rid of this great evil.
It didn't take long for this Yichen Daoist to really find their nest in the back mountain of Yandang Mountain. After several battles, the "male and female" duo were seriously injured and finally had to abandon their nest and flee. But the people didn't stop there, and chased them all the way, vowing to get rid of them with their own hands no matter what.
In this way, the Yichen Dao people chased and killed them all the way, chasing them from the Jiangnan Water Town in the southeast to the vast desert in the northwest, and from the vast desert in the northwest to the Changbai Mountain in the northeast. After the two of them fought fiercely in Changbai Mountain, the male and female demons were defeated again, and they had no choice but to flee back to the south.
In the end, it was in this Peach Blossom Mountain Peach Blossom Cave that they finally took the initiative to submit to the hands of the Yichen Dao man, and let him do what he did.
But in the end, this dusty man couldn't bear to really kill him. It is also strange to say that after several years of fighting wits and courage along the way, they unconsciously cherished each other.
Moreover, since they have surrendered to themselves at this time, they will definitely not make waves and harm the world again. The main thing is that they have almost wiped out their anger over the years.
In the end, after thinking about it for a long time, the Yichen Dao people finally did not take a spicy hand to get rid of them. Instead, he decided to keep them by his side forever, and let them make a vow to follow him for the rest of their lives to devote themselves to cultivation in this peach blossom mountain.
When they first came to this Peach Blossom Cave in Peach Blossom Mountain, they didn't find this hidden chain cave. It's just that after a long time, they slowly discovered the secret of the entrance to this chain of caves, because the male and female demons are a pair of blood snakes after all, and they have a unique sense of the existence of these caves.
After discovering the entrance to the chain cave, the Yichen Dao people followed them into the cave, and after seeing the stone tablet that was left by Xi Zhicai, they knew everything about it.
After a thorough turn, after a lot of effort, the Yichen Dao people finally found another exit below. However, the exit has already been artificially sealed, and outside the exit is the bottom of the reservoir below the cliff.
Not only that, but the dark passage that Xi Zhicai specially built at the bottom of the reservoir earlier was deliberately destroyed at some point. In other words, once the exit of the channel below is accidentally opened, the water in the reservoir will pour in in large quantities, which will be unstoppable and instantly flood the exit channel.
It just so happened that although the male and female demons were strong, they did not dare to touch the water, and the water was their nemesis. In this way, even when the Yichen Daoist was in retreat and practicing for a long time, as long as he sealed the exit above with a prohibition, the male and female demons could only stay honestly in the chain hole below, and would never dare to sneak out.
In this way, they practiced peacefully in this chain of caves. It wasn't until many years later that Yichen Daoren suddenly felt that his limit was approaching, and he was worried about the male and female demons again. After all, they are still demons, and their demonic nature is still there, and they have not been completely cleared yet.
When they were alive, they kept their vows out of awe, and did not dare to make the slightest move. However, after a long time since they were feathered, no one dared to guarantee that they would not go crazy again and re-emerge from the mountain to cause trouble.
Of course, at this point, it is no longer realistic for you to let the Yichen Dao people ruthlessly get rid of them. Because, they have been with him honestly for so many years, and he can't do it anymore.
So, he quietly prepared secretly from them, not only arranging the stone statue of the "Peach Blossom Fairy" in the peach blossom cave above. And in this small cave hall below, a second, more powerful prohibition is arranged, as a double insurance.
In addition, he finally used a unique method to introduce a large number of mountain springs into this small cave hall, filling almost the entire cave hall, specifically to restrain the twin demons and prevent him from getting out of trouble. Not only that, but he also went to the exit near the reservoir below, arranged a few powerful prohibitions, and added a insurance.
In this way, even if the twin demons were completely sealed in the huge space under this small cave hall, it would be absolutely impossible for them to get out of trouble with their own skills. Unless a real master arrives here in the future and breaks the forbidden mechanism here, this pair of male and female demons can be released.
Or if they have truly cultivated to the positive fruit, and have the magical powers that truly surpass those of a dusty Dao person, they can also leave naturally at will.
It's just that by that time, I'm afraid that their demonic nature will have disappeared completely, and they will no longer do those demonic things no matter where they are. Naturally, the imprisonment of the Yichen Dao people on them naturally has no meaning......
