Volume 3: A Brief Discussion on the Simple Use of the Compass in "Kanyu Feng Shui" and "Ziping Destiny".

Feng Shui Compass, also known as Compass, Compass, Luo Geng, Compass Plate, etc., is an essential tool for Feng Shui masters to use for pole and orientation when they are looking at Feng Shui. The most important components are Tianchi, Tianxin Ten Paths, Inner and Outer Disks, etc.

As you can see from the shape of the compass, in the center of the compass is a circular celestial pond (i.e., a compass for orientation). The outside is a movable turntable with black and gold characters on a copper surface, called an inner disk or a disc. The circle on the plate is full of words, and it is customary to call it a layer. One of them is a layer of twenty-four directions, and the outermost is a square plate, called the outer plate or square plate.

There are four small holes in the outer plate, and there are two fish wires or glue wires in a cross shape through the small holes in the middle of the four sides, which is used to set the sitting direction.

The use of the disk is mainly the central magnetic needle, the inner disk outside the Tianchi is made of steel, the bottom color of the Tianchi is generally white, the bottom is drawn with a red straight line, there are two red dots at one end on the left and right of the red line, the red line is located in the north and south, the side with the red dot is the sub-square (due north), the other end is the noon square (due south), there is a very sensitive magnetic needle on it, and there is a small hole at one end of the magnetic needle.

When using the compass, hold the outer disc with both hands on the left and right, feet slightly apart, and place the compass between the chest and abdomen, keeping the compass horizontal, not high left and low right, or high in front and low in the back. Then sit with your back to the back, face the direction, and start to stand up.

At this time, the cross fish silk line on the compass should coincide with the four positive positions of the front of the house, the back, the left and the right, if the direction of the cross line is not accurate, then, the measured sitting direction will be deviated.

After fixing the position of the cross fishwire, use the thumbs of both hands to move the inner disc, and when the inner disc rotates, the Tianchi will rotate with it. Rotate the inner disc until the magnetic needle comes to rest and overlaps with the red thread in the heavenly pond.

It is very important that the end of the magnetic needle with a small hole must coincide with the two small red dots on the red line, and the positions cannot be displaced. At this time, the thread (which is the horizontal one) that shows the sitting direction intersects the layers of the inner plate. The various data and information we are looking for are displayed in the area that this fishing thread crosses and covers.

There are more than ten or twenty layers on the compass, which layer is the sitting direction? It's the level of the twenty-four mountains. It's right near Tianchi. The "mountain" on the square of the fishing line is used to indicate the direction, and the "mountain" on the square of the fishing wire is used to indicate sitting.

For example, Xiangshan is a son, and sitting on a mountain is noon, so it is called sitting on a meridian Xiangzi. Knowing that you are sitting backwards in the house, you can find the direction (or palace) of the whole house by placing the compass in the center of the house.
