Chapter 281: Celestial Bodies

The right hand holding the firearm was ready, and as soon as the Empress made any visible movements, Draenor would send the bullet into her chest.

But the sluggish movements of the other man made him hesitate, and Empress Delitley looked no different from the mummy, something had drained the vampire's blood. The Empress, who had lost her legs, lay on her throne like a broken puppet, with a bitter smile on her face, a smile that was close to collapse.

Draenor looked up the translucent tube that jutted out of the empress's navel, trying to catch the direction of the moon seed. He couldn't understand what the Empress had been through, and there was no mention of her role in the nurturing program in the report of Yazrao's experiments.

His guess was that the Empress had used her body as a nourishment for the growth of the Moon Seed, and that the twisted pipes were the umbilical cord that connected her to the embryo, and that the place above her head was where the Moon Seed hid.

Suddenly, Empress Delletley took a deep breath, ran her dry palm through her hair, and pierced her nails deep into her scalp, tearing off her own scalp like peeling a lychee.

"Leonia......" Jeanne could feel the girl almost faint from the scene in front of her, and held her tightly in her arms.

The scalp was flung to Lin with black hair, and red and white were smeared all over the empress's skull. From the junction of the two vertical and horizontal cracks above the head appeared a diamond-shaped depression, which looked like a baby's front chimney, the transparent tissue that made the whole brain visible, and something similar to a worm twitched wildly in it, flickering with a pale glow.

(Lapland slang) ......" Lopud took two steps back in a panic and cursed in a language Draenor had never heard before.

"Hehehe...... Yes!! The Seeds of the Moon thirst for my blood! It's about to be born, at a height closer to the moon than I am! I'm going to die, but my life will pass through the umbilical cord into the embryo of the Moon Seed! ”

The Empress lifted her blood-studded face, staring at the center of the board with her eyes that almost drooped. With a force beyond human comprehension, she ripped off the metal pillar of the armrest, grabbed one end with both hands, and stabbed it into her heart.

"Accept me! Luna! Let me be your heart! ”

Bright red blood erupted from Deletley's mouth, surging down the corners of his mouth that had been torn to his ears. She raised her head and screamed hysterically until the paleness of her face became more and more pronounced, and finally she turned into a stiff stone statue and fell to the throne.

The pipes that connected her body squirmed like crazy, greedily pulling blood out of the Empress's navel as if it had been brought to life. Streams of crimson blood pumped down the swollen teleportation tubes into the flower slabs, even knocking the slabs out of the cracks.

The worm that had taken over Llettli's brain burst through her skull, sending it into the air like a fountain and falling to the ground. Draenor suddenly heard the shrill sound of a flute, followed by the roar of a wind, mixed with countless screams that turned into a heartbreaking symphony.

The Empress's body withered at a visible rate, until her skin was completely dry and cracked, and all that remained of the throne was a pale skeleton.

The frantic symphony was gone, and the dead silence remained in the altar for only a few seconds, replaced by the cry of a baby. The sound came from overhead, it seemed to have a vague shape, and even the moonlight shook like waves with the cry.

A light somewhere between pink and violet fell from the sky, illuminating the ground beyond the thirteen floor-to-ceiling windows. It was a narrow open hallway, and in one of them stood a large metal birdcage with a chain the size of a human leg attached to it.

"The Seed of the Moon has woken up...... Draenor stared at the flickering light with desperate eyes, an indescribable power that precipitated his consciousness to the deepest part of his brain, and now he was a puppet with the ability to speak, and he didn't even have the strength to take another step

"Jeanne, Draenau!" The exorcist Rao's shouts brought the two of them back to consciousness.

"See that birdcage? That's the only way to the top, there's no time to be stunned! ”

Draenor felt her legs begin to go limp, and Jeanne was already kneeling on the rain with Leonia in her arms, gasping for breath as if she had nearly drowned in the water.

"Go on......" Draenor helped Jeanne to her feet, and with Leonia in tow, followed the exorcist Rao towards the birdcage.

Lopud tore open the iron door of the birdcage, and before entering, Draenor looked up to see that the chain stretched to a height of more than ten meters. It was the highest point that could be reached, like a hollow chimney supported by black stone pillars, from which violet light erupted like a lighthouse illuminating the island.

"Click! Click-and-click......"

As Lopud pulled the grip in the cage, the chains above his head began to twitch, and the rhythm grew faster and faster as the cage climbed higher and higher, until it became a gravitational ascension.

Draenor felt the gravity sink several times over, and with a final loud thud, the chains were completely tucked into the top of the tower, and the violent shaking threw all four people, including Draenor, to the hollowed-out chimney

The images around him flashed, and in an instant, everything that Draenor could catch with his eyes was dyed with flowing colors. He forced the muscles in his arms to contract, desperate to regain the momentum to get back up, but the light wrapped around him like sticky bubbles.

As he struggled to raise his head, he saw translucent polyhedron floating in the air, spinning slightly, moving in the opposite direction of the light, happily moving rapidly towards the center until they gathered into a huge ball of light.

The appearance of the thing caused the surrounding color to fade in an instant, turning back to a chilling cold white light. The orb broke free of the transmission tube that bound it, allowing Empress Delletley's blood to spread on the ground, and it suspended in midair, its dazzling white light shooting almost down the "chimney" into the sky.

Draenor's eyes were half-open, and his blurred vision showed the silhouette of a baby in an embryo, reflected in the center of the sphere, like a dark spot on the moon, but twitching slightly with the wriggling of the umbilical cord.

The strange symphony returns without warning, as if celebrating the birth of some great being, and the discordant tones rise and accelerate like crazy, trying to push these snooping outlanders to unbearable physiological limits.

Jeanne...... Lopud ......"

He thought of his companions, who were lying five meters away from him, their silhouettes almost doubled in length with a strong white light, as if in a matter of seconds they would completely erase all traces of their existence.

Beside Jeanne lay another figure, holding a firearm in one hand and supporting her upper body with the other.

"Leonia...... Leonia!! ”

He didn't understand why the girl wasn't affected by the visions, and just clutched the last vestiges of reason in his mind and shouted to her.

As if a miracle had struck, Leonia struggled to walk with a broken leg, sobbing and raising her thin arm to close the distance between herself and the other.

Draenor felt the glare gradually take on texture, and hundreds of tons of gravity almost set him into the surface. With a trembling left hand, he reached into his bosom and pulled out a silver bell.

"Go to the front, kid." Ignoring the threat of blinding his eyes, he stared firmly at the ball of light suspended in the air.

"Go to the front...... Shake it! He repeated, shoving the bell hard into Leonia's arms.
