15 I have been kidnapped
Today's weather is nice and the temperature is a little warmer than usual.
With Hawke's permission, I walked out of the house with my sketchpad on my back and a cloth bag with various painting tools.
A few days ago, while shopping for ingredients at the market with Hawke, I found a good place to sketch. It is located near the market and is a wild jungle outside the city.
District 3 is the second largest of the five districts, consisting of 10 urban districts and large rural areas, with about 900,000 inhabitants.
Located in a wilderness area on the outskirts of 10 urban areas, Coral Three is designed to be isolated from the rest of the world and not want to interact too much with outsiders.
I was riding a flying prop called [Flying Fish], which is a flying device powered by special fuel, shaped like a flat giant leaf, with a simple structure, only two handles on the surface for the passenger to support, and a total weight of only about one kilogram, which is very easy to carry.
From [Coral III], it took only five minutes to reach the destination.
I jumped off [Flying Fish] and saw a forest overgrown with grass.
Before leaving, Hawke told me that there are many ferocious beasts living here, their sense of smell is quite sensitive, they can easily sense the human breath when stepping into this area, and non-combatants with a combat level below T5, whether adults or children, are not allowed to enter casually, otherwise there will be more than luck!
So, today's purpose is to sit at the entrance of the forest, at the junction of the forest and the outer meadow!
Unfortunately, we searched all the shops in the 3rd Ward Market, but we didn't find any painting tools for children, most of them were professional props for drawing architectural or weapon designs, except for the most basic pencils, I had never seen anything else!
I chose the right angle and sat cross-legged on the grass.
It had just rained last night, and the grass was a little wet and cold, but it is worth mentioning that the rain here is very salty, just like real seawater. Many people collect rainwater and extract a large number of rare substances from it, some of which can even be used in medicine, and some can be added to ingredients as condiments.
Set up your easel and have a frontal view right at the entrance to the woods.
Faintly, it was as if I saw a dark shadow flickering in the jungle.
(Is it an animal that lives inside?) )
Wait, it looks like a figure!
The dark shadow staggered in my direction.
I hid behind the sketchpad and poked my head out to take a closer look.
It was a woman, in her mid-twenties, with tattered clothes and a lost shoe on her foot.
She ran in a hurry, looking back from time to time to check the situation behind her.
"Please, please help me!" She cried and fell in front of me.
I was a little panicked, and for the first time I met someone asking for help from me. Just looking at her panicked appearance, I didn't dare to act rashly, for fear that someone chasing her would suddenly come out from behind and hurt my life.
Her neck, arms, and thighs were covered with scars, as if they had been cut by a knife or something sharp, and her skin was blue and purple, as if she had been tortured in some kind of pain.
"Please... Please take me to the hospital, I'm poisoned! She pleaded, a pair of hands stained with dirt and blood clutching my sleeves.
I was terrified and wanted to get rid of her hands, but I didn't think it was appropriate.
After all, if you ignore her, I'm afraid she will die here in a short time!
"I... I don't know where there is a hospital! Looking at her tattered face, I became nervous too.
"That's... Over there... There is a small town three kilometers away... Over there... Yes... Yes—" She weakly held out her finger forward.
But before she could finish speaking, she convulsed and fell to the grass.
"Hey! Feed! You okay!!?? I was so anxious that I circled around her, but she didn't move on the ground, as if she was unconscious.
(What to do?) Do you want to send her there? I looked up in the direction of her finger, and the roofs of some buildings could be faintly visible.
After hesitating for a long time, I put away my painting tools and turned on [Flying Fish].
'Save people from fire and water, accumulate virtue and promote goodness. I can't help but think of those words in my head. Hey? Who told me that?
Fortunately, the space of [Flying Fish] is relatively large, barely able to accommodate an adult and a child, but the flight speed is much slower than before.
……
Before I knew it, a light rain was falling in the sky, and the raindrops kept blowing on my face, and I couldn't help but shiver.
(I knew I should have a raincoat!) )
Just as I was thinking, a chill came from my neck, and I twitched, and I couldn't help but reach out and touch it.
However, what the fingers touched was a cold, hard object.
It's a blade!!
"Don't move!" Behind him came a woman's muffled warning voice.
"Ahh I screamed, and I was so frightened that I raised my hands on the steering stick above my head.
"I surrender!" I pleaded.
However, as the steering stick lost control, [Exocet] began to descend sharply.
"Hey! Take control of [Flying Fish]! Obediently follow my instructions and head in the direction of the town! She pressed viciously, the knife in her hand tightening even harder.
"Yes!" I shuddered, and re-grasped the steering stick with my little cold hands.
"You... Doesn't it matter what poison you have? I asked cautiously.
"Huh? Poison? Of course, that's a pretense to trick you into sitting on [Flying Fish]! She smiled wryly.
"I... I've been scammed!? My eyes widened in astonishment.
"Poof, with your IQ, you still dare to go out alone? I'm kidnapping you right now! The woman smiled and slashed my neck with the blade of the knife.
A tingling sensation came from the scratch, and a small stream of warm liquid was felt flowing into the garment.
"Whew—" I sobbed at the tip of my nose.
"Shut up! Hold it for me and drive well!! She reached out her other hand and grabbed my neck hard, her sharp nails piercing my skin and causing a pang of pain.
"What are you going to do with me~~" I asked tremblingly.
"My guests are waiting for us right in the town, and you'll know when you get there!"
The woman's cold answer was drowned out in the rain, and I didn't dare to look back at her face, and the wound on my neck became more and more painful, and the blood flowed more and more, staining the clothes on my chest red.
Soon, we could already see the whole town in front of us, and the figures of three men were looking at us.
"Go, that's over there!"
