Chapter 11: Kiddell City

The Sepion Plain is vast, and the distance from the west to the center would take almost a week at the speed of an average human. But for Atvance, who is stronger than humans in terms of physical fitness and strength, it is only a matter of one day.

In order not to cause trouble in vain, Artfan deliberately bypassed all the villages. Walking through the sparse woods, Artevans's eyes suddenly opened up.

The central part of the Sepion Plain is very different from the west, where the wild vegetation is almost impossible to see compared to the lush vegetation of the west, and is more often cultivated by the people themselves.

Despite Kyle's statement that Central Suppien is ruled by the Church of Mages, the borders of this area are not guarded. As soon as he stepped into the middle of Sepion, Artevans felt a very strong aura of magic, and he observed the surrounding buildings, almost every house was surrounded by magic crystals. These magic crystals shimmered faintly and constantly emitted energy.

Artevans didn't know what humans were doing here, so he didn't know what the crystals were for, but his instincts told him that they were probably not just used to provide energy.

Atfans just walked into a small town and walked down the streets. The people on the street invariably cast their gazes, making Atfans a little uncomfortable.

(It's a nasty feeling to be watched, but it seems to be too.) )

For the first time since arriving on the Plains of Sepion, Artevans noticed his dress. Compared to the humans here, the costume of the god heir clan on his body is still too conspicuous, and his height is also a cut above these humans.

Being watched made Artevans feel uncomfortable, so he had to quietly sense the neighborhood as he walked, to see if there was a place to buy clothes, and to change out of his conspicuous clothing, which would also facilitate his future actions.

Soon, Atfans found what appeared to be a house that sold clothes.

After changing into the costumes of the natives of the central part of Sepion, Artevans finally went unnoticed, even though he was tall in the eyes of humans and still stood out on the streets.

Although Kyle has said that once you've arrived, you'll get to Kiddell City, but the streets crisscrossed here can be disorienting for newcomers.

Because the aura of magic could be felt everywhere, it was not convenient for Artevans to expand his perception rashly. It is very dangerous to expose yourself in an unfamiliar place. Even if he is very confident in his own strength, Artevans does not want to cause any conflict here for no reason, who knows what will happen after that.

It's not that Artevans is afraid, even within the Divine Heir Clan, there are not many people who can stabilize Artevans in terms of strength, let alone humans. Artevans's main concern was not to cause unnecessary trouble.

Now the main thing is to go to Kiddell City.

It was inconvenient for Artevans to directly turn on his perception, so he chose the most direct way, which was to ask for directions.

As it turned out, it was indeed the best way to do this, and the humans here were quite enthusiastic, and with a little inquiry, Artevans made it to the canyon on the edge of Kiddell City.

Standing on the edge of the canyon, Kiddell City sits on a lonely peak surrounded by cliffs, like a majestic stone forest rising from a giant pit.

Even across the canyon, Artevans could feel the amazing magical aura emanating from Kiddell.

(Presumably, almost all the powerhouses in central Sepion are gathered there.) )

Artevans thought so as he looked around Kiddell and saw that there was nothing like a drawbridge, or even a magic portal, to reach Kiddel.

The whole city of Kiddell was like it was isolated.

Artevans shook his head helplessly and looked around to see that there was no one around him.

Then, with a gentle wave of his right hand, a path of magic emerged from beneath his feet and stretched to Kiddell City.

Of course, condensing this magical path, Artevans still did not trigger the reconstruction of the imprint. Most creatures with magical power also have the ability to perceive magical power, and this is the territory of the Church of Magicians, so it is impossible for there to be no people who cannot perceive magical power.

Following this magical path, Artevans crossed the canyon with ease and reached Kiddell City.

As soon as he reached the bottom of the city gate, two guards appeared and stopped Atvance.

"Who are you?" The guard asked sharply.

"Adventurers from the Southern Continent heard that Kiddell City in the middle of the Sepion Plains is very famous, so they are curious to come and see it."

When Artevans walked all the way, there were no guards under the city gates, and there was not even the breath of guards, which means that these two guards appeared instantly when they knew of Artevans' arrival.

However, Artevans had already been mentally prepared, and he walked directly on the road, almost blatantly intruding, and it was impossible not to be noticed.

"Adventurers? You wait here, I'll go and inform Lord Rogge first." One of the guards vanished.

(Rogge?) This name, it seems that somewhere...... )

Artevans thought for a moment when he heard the name, but didn't pay much attention to it.

As one of the guards disappeared to report it, another stared at Artevans, the magic flowing through his body. It seems that the guards of Kiddell City are still relatively responsible.

Artevans stood there with a relaxed face, waiting for this Rog to arrive.

After a moment's reckoning, Artevans remembered where he had heard the name. Rice, the leader of the bandits, once mentioned this name, and even said that he was looking for him.

(That's why the swarm of ants has been able to roam west of Sepion for so long.) )

Artevans sneered inwardly.

It didn't take long for the guard who had just left to return, with a middle-aged man in a blue robe beside him.

"Lord Rog, that's him." The guard pointed at Artevans and said to the middle-aged man beside him.

"The adventurers of the Southern Continent are really rare visitors, but I have been fortunate enough to see them a few times, but Your Excellency's appearance is really a little different from the people of the Southern Continent I have seen." Rog looked at Artfans, looked up and down, and raised his eyebrows.

"There are so many people in this world, and there are so many different looks and shapes, so it is a little inappropriate for Mr. Rogge to judge me based on my appearance alone."

Unfazed, Artevans looked into Rog's eyes and deliberately raised the volume of his speech.

(This person's strength is indeed a little stronger than other humans, but it is an unchangeable fact that ants are ants.) )

Rogge was stunned for a moment, although he had seen a few people from the Southern Continent before, none of them had put on such a proud posture in someone else's territory like Atfans.

You know, Kiddell is the headquarters of the Church of Sorceres. The Church of the Mages, on the other hand, governs the entire central part of Sepion.

As one of the "Five Elders" of the Wizard Church, how could anyone dare to talk to him like this.

However, when Artevans crossed the canyon with the magic road just now, Rogge did feel the magical aura.

In Rogge's cognition, the strength of a person who can do this kind of thing so easily is naturally not to be underestimated.

"Hahaha, you're right, I still have little knowledge of the Southern Continent, and I was offended just now, so please don't mind." Rogge forced a smile and said to Atfans.

(This man is unknown and doesn't know what to do, so I still have to find out what he does.) )

"I don't know why the adventurers of the Southern Continent are here?" After apologizing, Rogge asked.

"Visit." Atfans said bluntly.

"Visit? What to visit?' Artevans' direct answer made Rogge a little puzzled.

"Church of the Magior." As he spoke, a cold wind blew, and Rogge shivered.

Rog's mind was full of doubts, he didn't know what Atvance wanted to do, but his instincts told him that Atlance was not a simple adventurer as the guards said he was.

"Since you want to visit the Wizard Church, you must follow the rules of the Wizard Church, and your strength must be recognized."

Although Rog has become a little wary of Atvance, the rule of the Church of Wizards is that he cannot refuse a request for a visit, and he has to follow the rules.

As soon as Artevans was about to ask how he should be recognized, a wave of heat came over his face. Rog raised his right palm forward, unfurling a flame shield.

"Contemptible, one of the "Five Elders" of the Wizard Church, Rog the Shield of Fire. If you want my approval, smash it!'

(I've finally seen the magic of humans, but it seems to be a little vulnerable.) )

Artevans stared directly at Rog's flame shield, unoblivious to the constant heat emanating from the shield. From time to time, sporadic Mars flew in front of Atvance, but always disappeared at a certain distance from Atvance.

He didn't want his true strength to be exposed, and Artevans didn't plan to directly use magic qi waves to disperse the flame shield, so he had to make it look like it took some effort to break the flame shield.

A magic ball was condensed in the hands of Atvance, and when condensing the magic power, Atvance also deliberately absorbed some different breaths in the air.

(Attributeless magic?) But it doesn't seem to be pure, and it won't break my shield. )

Rogge was stunned, but only sighed because of the rarity of attributeless magic. He only felt that the aura of Artevan's magic ball was impure, but he didn't sense that Artevans absorbed other breaths from the outside when condensing the magic orb, confusing his judgment.

"So, are you ready, Mr. Rogge, I'm going to attack." As he spoke, Artevans suddenly shrunk the orb and threw it at Rog's flame shield.

The magic ball hit the flame shield, creating a huge shockwave that blew up the surrounding smoke and dust for a while.

"You've passed." A moment later, Rogge's voice reached Atfans' ears.
