Chapter XVIII

"It's a curse... It's a divine punishment ......"

Nearly twenty hours had passed since the night before, and Vikirico's sad and helpless voice still echoed in Draenor's head.

Yes, it is difficult for any physical abuse or punishment to directly affect a person's psyche, and this may be what distinguishes humans from other animals. Wisdom is not a privilege for human beings, but an indomitable soul and a strong heart will always be the scepter that enables human beings to be civilized and rule over all spirits.

But the fear of the unknown and darkness that is forever engraved in the soul is humanity's greatest threat and curse.

Draenor was already vague about the word "human" that he was once familiar with, was it true that humans were the elbows of all souls and ruled the world like gods?

Or is it that for this mysterious foggy forest of the world, humans are just saplings growing slowly under a night light?

It became clear to Draenor that the perception of the world that he had believed in for twenty years had been completely upended since the shipwreck.

Humanity itself is only one of the civilizations of the vast world, and there are countless great and mysterious civilizations in many more lands that humanity has not set foot in or that have gradually forgotten. They may be cognate siblings of humanity, or other creatures of God, or even outcasts.

"Hey!"

Vicilico suddenly shouted at Draenor,

"What for?" Draenor came back to his senses as if he had been awakened.

"Nothing, I don't think you have spoken much in a day." Vickyrie said worriedly,

"I know it may be more than you think, but trust me, you'll get used to it."

"Uh-huh," Draenor agreed, reluctantly swallowing a mouthful of saliva.

"Don't stand stupid, come up and have a look!" Vikiriko stood on the hillside urging Draenor.

He quickened his pace and climbed up the steep hill next to Viklico, a wonderful and beautiful view before him:

The moonlight, as dazzling as day, poured into the steep and majestic canyon; Deep blue rivers run through the dense woods of the canyon and slowly merge into the deep, sleepy lake like a silver mirror; Towering Gothic buildings like spires sparkle and spark around the lakeside.

"We're finally here. Vansaylila Grand Canyon, and my alma mater, the Rivindry Monastery. Vicky sighed proudly.

Shortly after descending into the canyon, the two entered a town surrounded by forests.

"Tinseiwater, a city that grows with the forest. The southernmost city in Fanselilla is a city that would love to show you around, but it's better to get the important things done first. Vicky said.

"Well, then how do we get to what you call Levendri?" Draenor asked.

"Quite simply, the shipbuilding industry in Tingsewater is so well developed that we can find a way to slip into a cargo ship bound for Rivindry. Then I found my dorm and took the money and checks I had deposited there. "Vicky is planning.

"After that, find a way to get a map, figure out the location of the beaver burrow, and get there in time, yes, that's it." Draenor not only took Viklico's words but also made her own decision, and she suddenly felt as if she had been forcibly stuffed with a piece of mud in her mouth, aggrieved and speechless.

The two of them sneaked aboard a cargo ship, a large freighter powered by burning crystal, which could travel at a speed of thirty or forty kilometers per hour, and in less than a half the two of them reached the monastery by the lake.

"Good, it looks like everything is going according to plan." Vicky said smugly,

"Cargo ships usually dock at the shore for two hours, so we have plenty of time to move. The next thing is to find a way to sneak under the big clock. ”

Draenor looked in the direction of Vicilico's finger, a bell tower-like building, and below it was an apartment building.

"Why is the street empty, where have all the people gone?" Draenor looked around and saw that the city was in ruins, and not a single figure was to be seen. "Someone won't come out of nowhere and catch us, will you?"

"The whole city is a school, and at the center of it is the dormitory and school building of the Abbey of Rivindry. Both the students and the clergy slept at this point. How could anyone be? "Vicky can be overwhelmed by Draenor's concerns.

She took a confident step and strode towards the bell tower, and Draenor didn't have time to persuade her to follow suit.

There was still no one around, and Draenor felt like he was making a bit of a fuss.

Just as the two of them gradually relaxed their vigilance and were about to cross the intersection in front of the bell tower, a woman suddenly burst out of a dark building opposite, holding a lantern and asking for a toilet.

She heard something moving on the other end of the road, and immediately turned on the lantern to get a clear light.

This photo is good, but I never expected that two ragged figures came into view, and the middle-aged woman was so frightened that she tore her throat and shouted towards the street:

"Hell !!!"

At the same time, the two of them were frightened stupid by this aunt, and they pulled up their legs and ran towards the bell tower.

It doesn't matter if you scare an aunt in the middle of the night, suddenly the lights of the whole street are lit up one after another. Countless heads poked out of the windows to look at the two untidy strangers running down the street in the middle of the night, and shouted one after another:

"There's a thief!"

"Someone is running naked!"

"It's the Wraith that's back!"

"Why are these people still shouting more and more energetic! Is this also what you planned!? Draenor shouted in a broken voice as he ran after Vekirico.

"I haven't been back for more than ten years, who knows who lives now!" Vekily shouted and grabbed Draenor's arm and rushed under the dormitory next to the bell tower.

The two of them collapsed under a window and gasped breathlessly, and Vickyli was about to raise her head to apologize for her confidence, only to see Draenor staring at her with a cannibalistic look.

"Alright...... I didn't think it through before, at least now that we're in the place. The grass is dense here, so we can rest for a while and think about how to get to my old dorm room......" Viklico said with a wry smile.

Before they could catch their breath, the window behind them suddenly lit up. A girl heard the movement, opened the window and looked out cautiously, she saw Vicilico lying on the ground, and instantly shuddered with fright, and the lantern in her hand fell to the ground.

"Shhhh Don't make a sound, I beg you, I'm your senior sister! Vikily folded her hands and begged the girl in standard Misarian to keep her voice out.

The girl seemed to hear Viklico's plea and covered her mouth.

"Nothing happened, not what you think!" Draenor was about to step out of the bushes to explain to the girl.

But at this moment, he stepped on a hard pine cone impartially, lost his balance carelessly, and even Vekily was pushed to the ground by him.

The girl's face turned red instantly, she moved her hand upwards to cover her eyes, opened her big mouth and shouted.

"Damn it! Can't these kids sleep a little harder? Vekily pushed Draenor away and jumped up the tree.

Draenor panicked for a moment, and ran under the tree to try to keep up with Viklico.

The priests and nuns were also awakened, and carried lanterns around the courtyard looking for the two strange men who appeared in the middle of the night. And Viklico and Draenor were already hiding in the trunk of a tree at this time, wishing they would never be seen again for the rest of their lives.

After about five or six minutes, the lights under the trees finally disappeared.

Viklico approached and pried open the window of her dorm room, turning around and flipping inside. Draenor slowly crawled to the window, got up, and jumped in.

"There's no time to sit there and think about something, you can't save people!" Vicilico shouted at a wry-smiling Draenor as she flipped through the cabinet and dropped several of her collected costumes on Draenor.

"And what about me... I don't know who hurt people so embarrassed......" Draenor muttered, pulling up his clothes and getting ready to change.

"What are you doing!" Vicky asked with a frown and a questioning tone.

"Didn't you tell me to change my clothes!"

"Then you just change it in front of me!" Vekily pushed Draenor into the cabinet with a puffed face, locking the door before he could react.

"Don't come out until you change your clothes!" Vicilico shouted towards the cabinet.

Draenor was puzzled, and he had to swallow his anger and slowly change his clothes in the cupboard.

Ten minutes later, Vikily finally changed her clothes and walked to the closet.

"This dress was originally intended to be worn by a tall doll, it should fit well...... "Who knew that when Vikirico opened the cabinet, Draenor slumped against the cabinet in iron color.

"Ah, I'm sorry! I forgot that this cabinet is moisture-proof and has a particularly good seal! ”

Draenor hurriedly walked out of the closet and gasped twice:

"You guy... It's a heart, isn't it..."

"Hehe, at least the money and clothes are in hand, and the next thing is to go to the town and buy some equipment and maps!" Vikily laughed mischievously.

Eventually, the two of them managed to get the new clothes and the coils they needed as planned.

While the people were falling asleep again, they slipped onto the cargo ship and traced their way back to the city of Tinselwater.
