Chapter 210: That Mysterious Voice Three
In fact, thinking of this, Chang Rong himself really didn't dare to think about it anymore, at this time, what else can he do here in this situation, what can he do?
"Baizhang Huaihai Zen Master is the heir of Matsu Daoyi Zen Master." Matsu created a jungle and established a clear rule" shows his contribution to Zen.
One day, the Baizhang Zen Master said the Dharma perfectly, the public had retreated, and only an old man lingered, and the Zen master asked, "Who is standing in front of you?" ”
The old man replied: "I am not a person, I am actually a wild fox, in the past ancient Buddha, I used to practice in this Baizhang Mountain, and then because a monk asked: "The great cultivator still has no cause and effect?" I replied, "No cause and effect!" ”
Therefore, as soon as I replied, I fell into the body of the fox for 500 lifetimes, and now I ask the Zen master to change the words on behalf of me, in order to hope to get rid of the body of the wild fox! ”
After hearing this, Zen Master Baizhang said compassionately: "Excuse me! ”
The old man clasped his palms together and asked, "The Great Cultivator still has no cause and effect?" ”
Zen Master Baizhang replied: "No cause and effect! ”
The old man was enlightened under the words, after the salute was said goodbye, the next day Baizhang Zen Master led the people in the temple to pick out a wild fox dead body with a stick in the cave under the stone rock in the back mountain, and the Zen master ordered to be cremated according to the rite of the dead monk. ”
Chang Rong remembers.
This is a well-known public case, just to answer the monk who said "do not fall into cause and effect", why did he fall into the body of a fox for 500 generations?
Baizhang Zen Master said a sentence of "ignorance of cause and effect" for him, why can he get rid of the suffering of the fox body for five hundred lifetimes?
The difference between the words is really worlds apart.
Question: "Do great cultivators still have cause and effect?" ”
He replied, "No cause and effect." ”
This means that those who have practiced are not subject to karma, and this kind of random and indiscriminate guidance is wrong! Poor!
Because no one can escape karma. Baizhang Zen Master's "ignorance of cause and effect" is actually even a famous saying, because anyone who practices enlightenment must "not be ignorant of cause and effect".
Therefore, Wumen Zen Master once had a song: "Do not fall and do not ignore, two picks and one race; No ambiguity, no mistakes! ”
At the end of the Dharma period, all kinds of fake Dharma kings, fake living Buddhas, and fake Dharma teachers filled the whole world, and they spread all kinds of evil and wrong so-called "Dharma" everywhere, with the purpose of extracting the money and wealth of sentient beings to support them and destroy the wisdom and lives of sentient beings.
In addition, there is also a category of "Dharma Teachers, Great Virtue Laymen", because they do not understand the Three Tibets, Tantric Scriptures, and do not have the Dharma evidence, they also like to preach and teach everywhere, but the content of the lectures is contrary to the teachings of Shakyamuni Buddha everywhere, such as prophesies of "the end of the earth", "all beings are originally Buddhas, and all beings are degenerated from Buddhas", and so on, no matter whether his intentions are good or bad, if he does not repent publicly, he will also not be able to escape the karmic retribution of cause and effect, and what awaits them must be the three evil realms, just like the above-mentioned Wild Fox Chan Gong case, is the best example of this. 113
Chang Rong thought of this, and he didn't know why this person wanted to tell such a story and say such a thing?
"The Buddha was a merchant in the land of the cause, and his name was Shanyu. On one occasion when a good merchant went to sea, five hundred merchants on board went to sea to seek treasure, and at the same time another wicked man with a violent temperament was on board, and this wicked man had evil intentions and wanted to murder the five hundred merchants who were with him in order to obtain their wealth.
One day, the good merchant lord dreamed that the god of the sea told him that this wicked man had the intention of seeking wealth and killing him, and then the good man had compassion and kept saying in his heart: "If you tell the five hundred merchants, they will definitely kill this thief together, and in the future they will bring hell to death because of their killing; If you don't say that the lives of these 500 people are at rest, wouldn't this be a death that you can't save them, and in this way, the lives of these 500 people will be equivalent to my indirect killing. ”
If the good man does not go to the end of this wicked man, then he kills five hundred people, which is the result of the infernal hell, for the lives of these five hundred people, and also for the wicked man not to do greater evil deeds, the good man then set out to kill the thief, and would rather go to hell himself, but also to save the five hundred people and the evil thief, this is the allusion of "killing a thief and saving five hundred people", is the so-called "I don't go to hell, who goes to hell!" ”
Good and compassionate 500 merchants, and this wicked man who has done many evils, so he used the thunderbolt method to achieve the bodhisattva's heart, which is difficult to do without great compassion and selfless wisdom, and the diligent heart that is willing to endure suffering in hell, so the sutra praises the good Yuyun: "Those who kill the cause should also endure the retribution of hell in a hundred thousand eons." And because of the compassion of the good man, the wicked person did not create greater negative karma, and under the protection of this compassion, "the wicked person will be born in the heavenly realm for the rest of his life." ”
The voice opened its mouth at this moment and asked, "If it were you, what should you choose?" ”
Chang Rong only remembered that when his master Dachi Zhenren told this story, that look, and that posture that he didn't know how to say.
Chang Rong said, "These five hundred businessmen because of the cause of the good king, and later became the Buddha under the five hundred bhikshus, as the "Zeng Yi Ahan Sutra" said, read this story, but also hope that all the Buddhas, can reflect on a problem with their hearts, that is, in life, do good must have wisdom and responsibility, but also to understand right and wrong, and Dafan to be a peacemaker, to act as a spectator who is not afraid of big things, thinking that he is far away from right and wrong, in fact, is promoting the evil of mediocrity.
When we can really have the right view in our hearts, "I don't go to hell, who will go to hell", then it is truly worthy of admiration. ”
Although Duan Chaonuan's eyes are closed at the moment, but the words of these two people, for Duan Chaonuan, there is still something about this issue.
It's just that I don't go to hell, who goes to hell, this kind of enlightenment?
It's really something that ordinary people don't have.
However, in this question, Duan Chaonuan felt that the problem should not lie in this, it was the life of this Buddha, the life called Shanyu, and it was not that he held a posture of sacrificing his life and righteousness to say, "I don't go to hell, who will go to hell".
It's not about how noble it is.
In Duan Chaonuan's view, this does not mean that the Buddha has some great wisdom, but it is true that the great wisdom of the Buddha cannot be denied by anyone.
However, these 500 businessmen, let's not talk about how this wicked person can directly put down 500 people.
Even if he takes a drug or puts some kind of gas bomb or something, put down these 500 people.
It's one thing for this Buddha to go to hell.
Then what is the cause of these 500 people to meet the Buddha in this life and get such a fruit!
Duan Chaonuan didn't understand much.
