Chapter Fifty-Eight: The Black Ghost Ship

"How many days have we been at sea?" Draenor said, looking at the bottomed out of food in the cabin.

"From the first sunrise when I left Hecheng, it was exactly five days and four nights." Jeanne stepped lightly on the deck and walked to the door of the cabin.

"Jeanne? You're well! Delaeno turned around and saw Jeanne looking at him with her brown eyes open, and with excitement welling up in his heart, he jumped onto the deck and hugged Jeanne.

"Actually, the potion has been injected before, thank you for taking care of you these days, Mr. Delaenor." Jeanne slipped into Draenor's arms, his body so warm that he could hear his heart throbbing through his chest.

"Are you nervous?" Jeanne looked up and gazed affectionately at Delaenor's face with those gentle eyes.

"It's not...... It's just that it's been a long time since I've been so happy. Draenor spoke his thoughts, but the smile on his face was curtailed.

It's been more than a month since he got his new life, and he seems to have gradually gotten used to this kind of life, making new friends, exploring the unknown, and escaping death.

But even after leaving the battlefield, the thick smell of gunpowder never seemed to completely dissipate, is all this just a long dream before death, or is life like this?

What happened to the civilians of Eichenryd? Are Sister Heidwin and the rest of us doing? Is the Imperial City still peaceful? Did the nagging and pathetic Glori live the life of her dreams?

Draenor felt exhausted countless times, but he could only keep going...... He had to go on, and the human soul was like a bone, and every time he experienced the severe pain of breaking his bones, he would slowly heal and become more resilient.

Even though there are countless difficulties and dangers ahead, at least he is still alive, and he still has the reason and emotions of being a human being, as well as the reliable Vicilico, and his beloved Jeanne......

Draenor gradually tightened his arms and took Jeanne in his arms, and from the moment he picked up Jeanne and rushed to Fort Characht for medical treatment, he knew that what he was carrying in his arms was the treasure he had been dreaming of for twenty years.

"Draenor ...... Mr? Jeanne was upset by Draenau's silence.

"It's okay Jeanne, I'll protect you, and I won't back down until it's over!"

Jeanne saw another surge in Draenor's eyes, just as she had seen when she first met him. Draenor may be a Canaanite tortured by a curse, but she will always be the indestructible hunter in her eyes.

The corners of Vikily Ke's mouth rose slightly as she held the rudder, and she heard the conversation clearly, she felt like a nurse, watching her children who were not related to her grow up little by little, and her heart couldn't help but be lit up with pride.

"Later, let's make out when we get ashore! If you're idle, come over and give me a hand! Cooper broke the momentary complacency by lifting his axe and slashing open the pieces of wood that lay on the ingots.

"What are you doing, Cooper? Isn't this a deck handrail! Draenor quickly ran over and snatched Cooper's axe again.

"Ah, I'm crazy old man, are you satisfied? We don't have coal anymore! Empty barrels, wooden poles, sawdust, everything that can be burned is used up! These broken logs were cracked by the bow of the ship hitting the reef before, and if you have the strength to speak, hurry up and do my work! Cooper punched Draenor in the knee and turned and walked to the captain's quarters.

"It's a bit strict, but Cooper is right, we ran out of coal the next day, and we had little food left, which is bad news." Vickily said reliably beside the rudder.

"The bad news? Is there good news? Derano sensed that Vickyli hadn't finished speaking, and turned around and asked.

"Good news is right in front of you!" Vicky said as she held out her index finger and pointed straight ahead of the angle of attack.

Draenor blocked the glare of the sunlight with his palm, and looked in the direction he was pointing, although it was a little blurry, he could be sure that it was a coastline! ยท

"Forty nautical miles to go!" Vicchirico pulled out her binoculars and used the scale engraved on the lens to roughly estimate the distance of the ship from the shoreline, so that it seemed that they would be able to reach Abel in a little more than an hour.

"You can't be wrong, the map indicates that there are only a few small islands between Flaktu and Abel, and if we are Canaan to the east, it must be the continent of Abel!" Jeanne excitedly gestured her finger across the map.

Vikily laughed along, but in addition to the excitement, more than the excitement occupied her heart, it was more of a worry about the unknown.

In addition, for Jeanne, Abel is both a strange continent and a homeland in the bloodline, a mysterious and great land that has nurtured the ancestors of all species in the world, including the Lycos.

Faced with the aborigines of the same blood, I don't know how Jeanne will react next, but Vicili can only hope that she is well.

"Buzz !!!"

The deafening roar of the whistle came from behind him, and the fierce sound almost crushed everyone on the sailboat to the deck.

"What happened?" Jeanne's hearing was so sensitive that she was so shocked by the humming sound that she quickly reached out and covered her ears tightly. The entire sailboat was shrouded in a shadow that suddenly rose.

"Oh my God......"

When Draenor turned around, he was almost overwhelmed by the huge black shadow in front of him, it was a huge metal wall, no, a huge battleship!

Four rows of steel pillar-like barrels stretched out on both sides of the battleship, and the two largest guns stood in the bow of the ship, contemptuous of the tiny "Tequila" in front of them. The sides of the battleship were covered in obsidian-solid armor, which extended along the angle of the hull under the majestic metal angles of attack, converging into a sharp blade.

Draenor almost threw his neck behind his back, but he didn't see a single ray of the sun.

Like a volcano rising in the middle of the sea, the metal monster spewed black smoke from overhead, and slammed into the sailboat with the force of a landslide.

"It's ...... Ghost Ship!? "What Draenor feared most was that there was not a single figure in sight of the whole ship, but the cannon was spinning as if it were being manipulated, and the only difference from the legend was that the ghost ship was made entirely of metal.

"What nonsense in broad daylight! Hurry up and put away the sails! Vickyli had made the rudder spin counterclockwise with all her might, but the monster had already swung in the sea, and the waves alone had tilted the ship forty-five degrees.

The crowd didn't have time to grasp the handrails and slid down the deck to a corner of the sailboat.

The battleship roared and cut through the sea, and the two huge cannons aimed at the coastline, and together burst out with a loud sound of piercing clouds and rocks, and in an instant, the entire sea surface was illuminated by two rounds of "scorching sun" as red as magma.

The roar of the cannon seemed to push everything around it, the sound rippled across the sea, and a fierce hurricane struck the sailboat head-on.

Everyone hurriedly covered their ears and lay on the deck, and the hurricane rushed to the sail that had not been fully retracted, tore the rope, and flew to the sea behind with the sail.

The waves gradually stopped, and the sailboat rose and fell with the aftermath, like a weak duckweed.

"That's ...... The Leeselberg!? Viklico said with one eye closed as she looked at the giant ship heading towards the shoreline. The impression of the "Leatherberg" is completely white, why is it now a pure black ghost ship?

Draenor still had some tinnitus, but he could clearly hear what Viklico had said.

"What does that mean, 'giant mountain'?" Draenor roughly translated in Misalaan.

"That's pretty much what it means, it's a warship of the Kingdom of Sadero, but why is it in the waters of Abel?"

Vikli remembers this battleship clearly, it was clearly an icebreaker used by the Sadro to open up the polar seas, the ship disappeared more than ten years ago, and now it suddenly appeared in the southern seas.

"It's not going well, maybe there's trouble ahead...... Ay? I look like I dropped my spear in the captain's room! Vicky reached out and took a hole behind her back, only to realize that she had put the "Thorn Bird" in the captain's room after the previous practice.

Buzz โ€“

Suddenly, there was a loud buzzing whistle behind him, this time much smaller than that of the "ghost ship", but it came from all directions at the same time.

"What the hell, what is it this time?"

Draenor quickly turned around, only to find a large shadow slowly approaching the sea behind him, which were a dozen small warships, each blackened and larger than their sailboats.

The largest of them all, slamming straight into the bow of the Tequila, and at the moment of impact, Delano clearly saw the white painted Misarian script on the bow of the ship, "Blackstone".

Compared to the battleship, the wooden "Tequila" was simply vulnerable, it could not even withstand the towering angle of attack of the battleship, and the bow of the ship was smashed to pieces by the hard hull.

The aftermath of the tremor slowly subsided, and everyone gradually stood firm on the broken deck. Everything in front of him happened so suddenly, he had just escaped from the shadow of the giant ship, and now he was knocked unconscious by the sudden attack, and Draenor didn't even have time to turn around and pick up the sword.

"Damn, what's going on......" Vikirico's head hit the corner of the handrail, she slowly regained her balance by holding on, and quickly ran to the side of the boat to observe the water entering the hull first.

It seemed that only the frontal damage had been damaged, and the sailboat was sturdy enough, and although the sound of the water flowing below the hull could be heard, it had not yet sunk significantly.

She shifted her gaze to the black battleship stuck in the bow, which looked the same as the previous "ghost ship", but was significantly smaller in size.

A figure slowly walked in front of him from the tallest battleship.

"Vicky Ricco. Klose, I'm waiting to announce in my capacity as Investigator Hermanstadt that you've been arrested! โ€
