Chapter 2: The First Intimate Contact with Magic

Yugaya was slightly distracted.

The letter brings about a turning point in her life, as well as a mystery in this world other than her.

Somewhat bewildered, Yugaya looked at the owl, cloaked in a dim glow, tilting her head to look at her, and Yugaya decided to go to the kitchen and get something to eat for it first.

Just then, there was a knock on the door.

Yugaya opened the door, and a slightly fierce-looking man was standing in the doorway.

"Little Yogaya, are you alright? I just saw something fly into your room window. โ€

"Thank you for your concern, Mr. Garfield, I'm fine. I just received an unexpected letter. โ€

"Seriously, little Yugaya, don't you really think about it? I don't think it's a bad thing to be adopted by me. Jason Garfield drove the car and took the time to talk to Yugaya.

"My dear Jason, we've talked about this topic 36 times." Yugaya replied, looking out the window at the map in his hand.

"How about a different school, the letter from St. Paul's Girls' College is still at home." Garfield suggested.

Garfield didn't want Yugaya to go to the Academy of Magic, her mother had died, and he couldn't protect Yugaya in a mysterious world he couldn't reach.

"Jason." Yugaya was a little helpless, and Kim seemed to feel something, climbed on Yugaya's shoulder, and flicked his tail at Garfield, as if to say that it would protect Yugaya.

"Okay, okay." Garfield raised his hands in surrender.

After several rounds of the car, a few familiar big characters came into their eyes.

Authentic Lanzhou ramen!

"Look over there, Jason! The place we were looking for was near Chinatown. โ€

Garfield took one look: "Oh, yes." But I don't think I found where the witch lady was talking about. There is only one big bookstore and one record store here."

Garfield stopped the car and said helplessly to Yugaya.

"No, I saw it, it's there, Leaky Cauldron! Although it is small and broken. Yugaya took Garfield's hand and walked in.

It looked dark and dirty, and Garfield looked disgusted, and then quickly retracted his expression.

"Are the two guests over there here looking for Diagon Alley?" The bar owner was wiping the glass in his hand, looked at the two out of place at the door, and waved his hand.

"Yes, sir, we need to procure something, can you give us some help?"

"Of course, I think this lovely young lady must be a new Hogwarts student this year. You can call me Tom, it's nice to show you the way. Boss Tom put down the cup in his hand, "Actually, I've led the way for quite a few Muggle students. โ€

"Muggles?" Garfield keenly grasped the point.

"Oh~ no discrimination, that's what wizards call those who don't believe in magic."

Who knows.

People often distinguish groups that are different from their own side and use titles such as outsiders, laymen, etc., to distinguish them without insulting connotations.

But it's like you don't know what kind of mentality the immortals have when they call you mortals.

Boss Tom takes the two to a wall with dumpsters, and just as Jason wonders if the boss is going to kidnap and murder them both, Tom begins to count the bricks on the top of the dumpsters.

"Count three pieces up, and two pieces later." He explained to the two, "Next time, the lovely young lady should be able to open the door herself." โ€

Boss Tom tapped his wand three times, and the brick began to shake, causing the entire brick to move, soon revealing a wide archway that led to a winding, cobblestone street.

"Welcome to Diagon Alley." In Garfield's surprised expression, Boss Tom suggested with a smile, "I think you need to go to Gringotts in the middle to exchange some wizard currency from the goblins." โ€

The two of them saw the snow-white buildings towering above the surrounding shops from a distance, and expressed their gratitude to Boss Tom.

"Let's go buy a wand first." Coming out of Gringotts, Kim climbed onto Yugaya's shoulder, raised his little head, and looked at Diagon Alley curiously.

Garfield, still complaining about the goblins in Gringotts, suggested, "Maybe we can go and customize the clothes first, I think it might take some time to make the clothes." โ€

"Actually, it doesn't have to wait long." The short and fat Lady Morkin, dressed in purple, frowned and looked at Jin who was lying on Yugaya's shoulder, "Oh, dear, can you let your little pet leave first?" โ€

She sensed a deadly threat from the tiny golden serpent.

"Don't worry, ma'am, Kim is very well-behaved and won't bite people casually." Garfield reassured, reaching out to take Kim. "I don't know if it's poisonous though." He silently added in his heart.

Reluctantly, Kim rubbed the tip of his tail against Yugaya's neck and climbed into Garfield's hand very deftly.

"If you like snakes as pets, it must be a Slytherin." Mrs. Morkin muttered softly.

"Slytherin?" Both of them heard her words, and Garfield immediately wondered about the unfamiliar term.

"Yes, sir. Slytherin. There are four houses at Hogwarts, and new students are placed in one of them. You can read the book about this. Hogwarts, a School History. Mrs. Morkin said over and over again, her hand moving, "I've tried, my dear." โ€

Yugaye jumped down from the footstool, and Garfield wanted to learn more about the wizarding and Hogwarts from Lady Morkin, but apparently, the waiting guests outside the door did not allow it.

"Perhaps, we can buy a copy of Hogwarts, a piece of school history later." Yugaya suggested.

Garfield was helpless, and the little girl looked calm, not at all anxious about entering the unknown world in the future.

"Quills, little Yugaya, if we don't get used to it, we can buy a few more pens." Garfield picked out a bottle of inkwell quills for Yugaya that would turn pink, and bought other things like crucibles, scales, and binoculars.

"It's here! Wand Shop. "At the end of the alley, they found it.

Even the gold sign on the door of the dilapidated shop has been peeled off, and it reads: Ollivander: A well-made wand since 382 BC.

It looks very unremarkable, except for a lone box in one window. Inside the box, on a purple velvet cushion, was a black wand.

Yugaya walked into the shop, and there was a jingling bell behind the door. Yugaya looked around at the stacked cartons, the store cramped and cramped, exuding a strange smell.

"Good morning." A soft voice came suddenly.

Only then did Yugaya notice that an old man was standing in front of them, his large, pale eyes like two shining moons in the dimly lit shop.
