Chapter 43: The Werewolf Aftermath
Cynthia, who was pale, was sent to the medical wing by the three of them.
"Oh, Merlin! Here's what's going on?! Put her down, tap! Madam Pomfrey exclaimed in surprise as she saw Cynthia's injuries.
As the huge wound lay across Cynthia's right shoulder, a painful moan escaped the girl's mouth the moment she touched the bed.
Madam Pomfrey waved her wand, and she quickly unleashed a series of inspection spells.
"Cynthia, your right shoulder is completely shattered and you have lost too much blood. What are you doing here? Madam Pomfrey's angry words echoed through the empty medical wing.
"Ma'am, yes, it's Remus......" said Ciris softly.
"Merlin, it's a blessing that you didn't die there! I shouldn't have promised Albus to keep a werewolf at Hogwarts! Madam Pomfrey became even more angry when she heard Siris's words.
"Oh, Bobby, you can't deprive a child of the opportunity to go to school." Dumbledore's voice came from the doorway of the medical wing.
"Albus, look at this kid has been hurt like this!" Madam Pomfrey gestured at Cynthia.
"Oh, Miss Black, how are you feeling?" Dumbledore walked over to the hospital bed and looked at Cynthia kindly.
"Professor Dumbledore, it's clear that I need to get treatment as soon as possible." Cynthia said in a hoarse voice.
"Miss Black, your reaction is timely, and if you don't take the opportunity to treat the wound, I'm afraid something more terrifying will happen." There was a hint of approval in Dumbledore's eyes.
"It's bone water, Cynthia, you must drink it at all!" Madam Pomfrey approached with a large bottle of potions of strange colors.
Cyris gently helped Cynthia to her feet, and Cynthia frowned and closed her eyes, and drank the large bottle of potion in one go.
"Gross!" The strange smell of potion made the girl retch. She felt like her tongue was no longer sensational, and the bitter taste filled her mouth.
"Alright, boys, stay out of the way! Miss Evans, come over and help Cynthia. Madam Pomfrey drove several of the boys, including Dumbledore, behind the screen.
Lily walked over to the hospital bed and held the girl's emaciated body.
Madam Pomfrey took a bottle of white essence and dripped it into Cynthia's wound.
"Hmm!" Cynthia bit her lip, but a muffled snort didn't hold back.
All she could think of was pain now, but after the pain, it was a crispy and numb itch of flesh and blood.
Her body began to tremble uncontrollably.
"Come on, Cynthia, bear with me." Madam Pomfrey reassured.
When Madam Pomfrey bandaged her, Cynthia felt as if a century had passed.
"Miss Black, can I call you Cynthia?" Dumbledore walked in again.
"Of course, Professor Dumbledore, it's my pleasure." Cynthia nodded weakly.
"Can you not tell anyone about tonight?" Dumbledore's words were something Cynthia had long anticipated.
"Lupin's kid didn't mean it, did he? Cynthia, he's just a kid like you, let him graduate, okay? Dumbledore's words seemed to have a magic that one could not refuse.
Cynthia looked at the old man in front of her and the expectant Cyris and Potter on the side, and nodded. "I promise you, Professor Dumbledore. However, this will be the last time, and if he hurts again, I will not hesitate to tell my father. ”
"I think Lupin will thank you, boy! What about the two of you? Dumbledore smiled with satisfaction, then turned to look at Severus and Lily.
"We agree." The two of them thought for a moment and came up with an answer that satisfied everyone.
"Then, Cynthia, your academy will add a hundred points for your bravery and resourcefulness!" Dumbledore smiled and looked at the girl in the hospital bed.
"Alright, gentlemen and Miss Evans, I think you can go back to your dorm and rest, and don't forget to ask Bobby to prescribe a bottle of dreamless potion for each of you." Dumbledore stood up.
"Then you should rest early, Thea, and I'll come to see you tomorrow." Siris touched the girl's head.
"Good night, Cynthia." Potter also said goodbye to Cynthia.
"Rest well, and, thank you today, Cynthia." Severus stepped forward and looked at the blood on the corner of the girl's mouth.
"Thank you, Miss Black. It was my fault before, and I apologize to you! I'm wrong about you, you're right, I shouldn't be prejudiced against all Slytherins. Lily blushed and sincerely apologized to Cynthia.
"Good night everyone." Cynthia smiled with difficulty.
It's night.
Cynthia couldn't sleep, and the effect of the raw bone water made her very uncomfortable, itchy and painful. I don't know when she fell asleep in a daze.
Early the next morning, a weakened Lupin arrived at the medical wing.
He looked at the girl on the hospital bed, and he felt guilty that he was about to drown him.
Professor Dumbledore told him that the girl was willing to keep it a secret for him and hoped that he would be able to complete his studies. Lupin looked at the girl who was always in front of the snot spirit, she was really different from other Slytherins.
"Remus? There you are? Siris's voice rang out behind him.
"Siris, I, I'm coming to see Cynthia......" Lupin turned around with a warm smile on his face.
"What happened to Peter yesterday?" Siris asked, in a low voice.
"He told me this morning that he was so scared, and that he felt it was useless for him to go out, so he fell asleep in the screaming shack." Lupin shook his head and said helplessly.
"He's really timid, not like a Gryffindor!" Cialis rolled his eyes.
"Siris? There you are? Cynthia's weak voice rang out.
"Thea, how are you feeling, are you feeling better?" Siris ran over and grabbed the girl's hand.
"Why are you here so early...... Lupin? Cynthia saw Lupin behind Siris.
"Can I call you Cynthia? Last night, I'm so sorry I hurt you. Also, thank you for keeping it a secret for me. Lupin looked at Cynthia sincerely.
"Well, of course. Last night, I don't blame you, I know you can't control yourself in that situation, and as for keeping it a secret for you, you should finish school too, right? Cynthia smiled at him.
"Thank you. You, you can call me Remus. Lupin's face flushed.
"Alright, let's eat something first! The apple pie you've been thinking about! Siris interrupted the interaction between the two.
"Okay." As soon as he finished speaking, Siris helped the girl to her feet and let her lean against her chest.
