Chapter 64: Prophecy
Cynthia froze in place, she didn't expect Severus to be so indifferent to her, she slowly put down her right hand that was still knocking on the door, turned her head and cried and left Prince Manor.
Cynthia, who had cried all night, went straight to the marriage registry office of the Ministry of Magic the next morning. It was Jalen Lanier who received her.
"Mrs. Snape, may I have anything to do to help you?" Jalen looked at Cynthia, who was expressionless, suspiciously.
Since it was just the two of them, Cynthia raised her wand without hesitation. "Legilimens."
Cynthia quickly flipped through Jalen's memories of yesterday and found that he hadn't told anyone else about his and Severus' registrations.
After withdrawing his memory, Cynthia quickly added a memory modification charm, deleting the memories of yesterday's registration between the two.
Since Severus is unwilling to admit their relationship, she lets those who know about it forget that she is still Cynthia Black.
In the days that followed, Cynthia told Dumbledore as much as she could. With Cynthia's information, the Order of the Phoenix's casualties were greatly reduced, and Voldemort often used the Crucifixion Curse to punish the Death Eaters, and Cynthia was not spared.
Voldemort, who couldn't stand this situation, decided to put a pawn inside Hogwarts after posting a job posting.
In the end, it was decided that Severus would apply for the position of Potions professor at Hogwarts in order to keep track of Dumbledore's movements.
………………………………………
It was a rainy day, and when Severus arrived at the Hog's Head Bar, it wasn't yet the agreed time.
He walked upstairs and was about to wait at the door of his room, when he heard a hoarse voice ringing from the room.
"The man who has the power to conquer the Dark Lord has walked into the ......" Severus was shocked when he heard this, because he knew that the person who was now interviewing was Sylby Trelawney, the great-granddaughter of the famous soothsayer Kassandra Trelawney.
He gently pressed his ear to the door, trying to hear the prophecy.
“…… Born into a family that had defeated the Dark Lord three times......"
"Born at the end of the seventh month......"
"What are you doing?! Brat! Suddenly, a man rudely grabbed him by the collar and pushed him inside.
"Mr. Dumbledore, this man is eavesdropping at the door!" He is the owner of the pig's head bar, and he has a strong smell of mutton on his body.
"I, I didn't, I just came early." Severus straightened his black robe.
"Come on, you're on the door, get out of here, eavesdropping boy!" The owner of the pig's head bar spoke roughly, pushing Severus out the door.
"Professor Dumbledore!" Severus ultimately didn't get a response from Dumbledore and was kicked out by the barkeeper.
Standing in the rain, Severus reflected on the prophecy he had heard, and the apparition made his way to the old Gaunt house.
"Severus, how was the interview?" Voldemort sat on the couch and asked the man kneeling at his feet.
"Master, I failed my interview." Severus bowed his head and replied respectfully.
"What?!" Voldemort's eyes widened and he roared angrily.
"Master, but I heard a prophecy about you!" Severus hastened to say.
"Oh?! What prophecy, let's hear it. Voldemort became interested.
"It was a prophecy made by Sybil Trelawney, the great-great-granddaughter of the famous soothsayer Kassandra Trelawney."
"The man who has the power to conquer the Dark Lord has walked into the ...... Born into a family that defeated the Dark Lord three times...... Born at the end of the seventh month......" Severus repeated what he had heard.
Voldemort listened to Severus's words and thought for a long time, his eyes flashing with suspicion.
He suddenly looked up and stared straight into Severus' eyes, instantly examining his memories of the night.
"Good, Severus." He stretched out his hand and summoned all the Death Eaters.
Moments later, the Death Eaters appeared in the foyer.
Everyone arrived in the chamber, where Voldemort sat in the front chair, with a fanatical Bellatrix on his left and a calm-looking Cynthia on his right.
Lucius was next to Bellatrix, and Severus sat next to Cynthia with a frown.
"You are gathered here today because of a prophecy that Severus has brought tonight."
When Cynthia heard this, she turned her head to look at Severus beside her, but she didn't get any response.
"Severus, repeat the prophecy."
"Yes, master." Severus nodded.
"The man who has the power to conquer the Dark Lord has walked into the ...... Born into a family that defeated the Dark Lord three times...... Born at the end of the seventh month......"
After listening to the prophecy, Cynthia was shocked, how could such an important prophecy be overheard by Severus, they must find this person before Voldemort!
"So, now everyone! Drop your tasks and find this boy! Start with the damn Aurors, and be sure to find out! ”
Voldemort's voice interrupted Cynthia's thoughts.
"Understood, master!" The Death Eaters bowed their heads and accepted the task.
After the meeting, Cynthia stopped Severus, who was striding the meteor.
"Severus, wait for me." She took three steps and two steps after her.
"What's the matter?" Severus paused and said impatiently.
"You're ...... today"
"If it's nothing, I'll go back." Cynthia had just opened her mouth when she was interrupted by the man's cold voice.
With that, he turned and left.
After returning to Grimmauld Place with a bitter face, Cynthia immediately arrived at the Headmaster's office at Hogwarts through Floo.com.
"Thea, you're here." Dumbledore looked at Cynthia, who suddenly appeared.
"Professor, what's the prophecy? The Dark Lord already knows the prophecy, and we must find the boy before the Death Eaters! Cynthia gets straight to the point.
"Don't worry, Cynthia. We'll definitely find that kid before then! Dumbledore calmed Cynthia's agitation.
"At the moment, there are two people in the Aurors who are due in July. Alice Longbottom and Lily Potter. ”
"You mean, Lily Potter?!" Cynthia looked at the kind old man in front of her in surprise.
"Protect them, Professor. If there's news from the Death Eaters, I'll let you know as soon as possible. Cynthia's eyes were full of sincerity.
"It's nature, Thea. They will be best protected. Dumbledore said.
"Now that I have eyebrows, I'll go back first, good night, Professor." Cynthia nodded and said goodnight before leaving the principal's office.
