Chapter 241: Achieving Ghost Immortals

Li Yizhi spread out his robe and saw a scripture embroidered in the center of the robe:

"When I heard this, I asked the Buddha, what is merit? If I use the great world and infinite treasures to give to the poor and the poor, so that the world is peaceful, and everyone is free from suffering, will I have merit? The Buddha said: There is no merit. Generosity, good thoughts are for blessings, and it is not possible to talk about blessings as merits, merit is in the Dharma body, not seeking blessings. Seeing nature is merit, equality is virtue, thinking without stagnation, common nature, true and wonderful use, is for merit ........."

"This is a robe of merit, which tells the story of the way of merit, the virtue of knowing the heart and seeing the nature, and the virtue of the mind."

Li Yizhi suddenly muttered to himself, his mind was firmly attracted to the scriptures, and countless realizations came to his heart for a while.

Although this verse may seem to be a bit deviant and misinterprets the meaning of merit.

But in Li Yizhi's view, it is a real straight road.

What is merit?

Perhaps, in the eyes of ordinary people, only doing good deeds can make merit.

If the clear mind is meritorious, and the mind is accessible, then if a heinous wicked person can only be able to think through the killing, then isn't he a profound merit?

Yes, it is a lot of merit!

It's just that this merit is only his personal merit.

The first sentence of the opening chapter of "The Mean": The predicate of the mandate of heaven is sex, and the predicate of recklessness is the Tao.

In other words, the natural character of a person is called nature, and acting according to nature is called monasticism.

This 'nature' is indistinguishable from good and evil.

Therefore, it is the path of cultivation for good people to do good, and it is also for evil people to do evil.

Because they all understand their 'true nature' and then follow their nature.

If my heart is evil, then doing evil is naturally in accordance with my nature.

For cultivators, cultivating the Tao is cultivating the mind, and as long as the mind is clear, cultivation can naturally lead to a thousand miles in a day.

If you let a good person do evil, you will definitely have a bad mind. If you let the wicked do good, you will also have trouble thinking about it.

Doing things contrary to one's nature in this way is tantamount to going against the path, and how can one achieve success in cultivation?

All things are born in nature, and they are divided into yin and yang.

There is good and evil in heaven and earth, and both are Tao.

Heaven and earth are unkind, and all things are used as dogs.

There is no difference between good and evil for the Great Dao.

The difference is for people.

Our artificial definition of merit for good is actually a misinterpretation of the meaning of merit.

Knowing these truths, Li Yizhi suddenly realized that his so-called martial arts beliefs and so-called grand aspirations were actually the process of realizing merit and the process of making his thoughts clear.

Knowing the mind is merit, and thinking is virtue.

Li Yizhi's belief in martial arts and his ambition are actually in his mind.

And to achieve it step by step, it is to let his thoughts be clear.

If you can't complete it, then your thoughts are not smooth, and your cultivation will naturally not be able to grow.

Even, if someone can be born with a good mind, they don't need to read or cultivate, and they can directly become holy.

Because there is no hindrance in his thoughts, he has already incarnated and attained enlightenment.

This is actually the same truth as the Buddhists say, 'put down the butcher's knife and become a Buddha on the spot'.

It's just that life is in heaven and earth, with all kinds of ties and obsessions, like countless ropes, firmly trapped in the body, unable to break free, how can you be able to reach the mind!

Why did Taoism flourish in the primeval period?

A large part of the reason is that the human heart at that time was simple, and it was naturally suitable for cultivation.

"There is no goodness and no disgusting body, there is good and malicious action. Knowing good and knowing evil is conscience, and doing evil for good is a thing. ”

Li Yizhi suddenly thought of Wang Yangming's four mental aphorisms, isn't it also talking about the way of merit!

Knowing good and knowing evil is conscience, which is to see nature in the clear mind;

Doing evil for the sake of good is a matter of character, and this is the way of cultivation.

It's just that Wang Yangming, as a Confucian sage, wants to cultivate good and meritorious deeds, so he wants to 'go to evil'.

This is not contrary to the path of merit, because 'evil' is not Wang Yangming's nature.

"There are thousands of avenues, and it turns out that different paths lead to the same end!"

Li Yi sighed in his heart, he stood with his eyes closed, his soul was rapidly expanding, and he was beating violently.

He felt as if there was a huge barrier between heaven and earth, firmly wrapped around him, making him unable to see the world as it was.

It's just that this barrier, which was incomparably strong in the past, was like paper paste at this moment, and it was broken by him as soon as he stabbed it.

Rumble!

Li Yizhi felt light, as if something shackled on his body disappeared in an instant.

At this moment, Li Yizhi broke life and death and achieved a ghost immortal!

At this moment, life and death are no longer terrifying!

After a long time, Li Yizhi opened his eyes, and his eyes were happy.

The harvest this time is really too great, not only is "Now as the Book of Truth" about to arrive, but he also got the opportunity to become a ghost and immortal all of a sudden.

If he cultivates step by step, he may not be able to break through in ten years.

To the south of the city, there was a loud crack in the gates.

This is the vanguard army of Weilei finally arrived and broke through into the city.

Li Yizhi walked towards the highest building in the center with a brisk pace, only to find that this was actually a palace.

It seems that this group of pirates has a lot of thoughts, and they are trying to build a country here.

When Li Yizhi walked into the palace and found Hong Yi, he saw Hong Yi holding a big Buddha statue and walking out excitedly.

This big Buddha statue is more than five meters high, and the whole body is red and yellow, and you can tell that it is plated with red gold at a glance.

The big Buddha has big ears and shoulders, eyebrows and eyes drooping, sitting on a twelve-petal lotus platform, one hand hangs down, touches the ground, one hand middle finger, ten fingers form a ring, I don't know what the Dharma seal is.

Hong Yi asked happily: "Brother Li, you look at the Buddha statue, is it what you are looking for?" ”

Li Yizhi looked at the Buddha statue and couldn't help but say happily: "Okay, good, it's this Buddha statue." Hong Yi, thank you this time. ”

Hong Yi put the Buddha statue aside, and hurriedly waved his hand and said, "What is Brother Li talking about, without your teaching, there would be no me now." It's a trivial matter, where is the use of saying thank you. ”

Li Yizhi nodded, handed the robe in his hand to Hong Yi, and said, "This robe itself is a treasure, it can be invulnerable, invulnerable, and invulnerable." At the same time, there is also a merit scripture on it, which you should carefully ponder, which will be beneficial to your future cultivation. Oh, by the way, the vanguard of Wei Lei is also entering the city, you have to get ready. ”

When Hong Yi heard this, he put his robe on his body, and said to the soldiers of the Green Battalion behind him: "Everyone prepare, once Wei Lei breaks into the palace, kill them all." ”

Trample! Trample!

A dense sound of footsteps came from a distance, and after a while, Wei Lei led a group of masters to break in.

He looked at Hong Yi, his face couldn't help but tense, he pointed at Hong Yi with a shattered knife in his hand, and shouted: "Hong Yi, put down all your belongings, and then exit the palace, I can spare your life." ”

Wei Lei looked at the items that were packed up behind Hong Yi, and couldn't help but be shocked and angry.

You must know that the reason why he participated in this crackdown on bandits, in addition to finding an opportunity to get rid of Hong Yi, the main reason is that he still takes a fancy to these pirates.

Because he received news that after the collapse of the Great Zen Temple, many monks fled here with a large number of books.

Therefore, among these items packed by Hong Yi, it is very likely that there are three volumes of supreme scriptures from the Great Zen Temple.

Hong Yi didn't talk nonsense, he raised the shark slashing sword and shouted: "Kill, don't leave a single one." ”

"You're looking for death, kill!"

Wei Lei couldn't help but shout angrily, and the killing intent in his eyes was like a tide.
